These look great! Mine finally came the other day, but with the holidays I only finally got a chance to open them yesterday. Packaged well and no damage! Unfortunately I had to take my Uberturbines off and put my winter tires on, but I will probably pull my damaged wheel out of storage to...

These look pretty good! Can’t wait to get mine for my uberturbines, hopefully it covers up the damage my wife did. I haven’t received any shipping information or anything but hopefully they arrive soon. Did anyone get their 21” covers delivered and installed yet? Curious to see what they look like

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I have a model 3 LR, Model Y Performance, and a Lexus IS350 that get used during the winter. Didnt feel like buying yet another set of winter wheels and tires, when it’s not needed. I also park a couple other cars for the crappy canadian winters as well.

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

So my axles were replaced on my car, they said to bring it back if it persists, but it’s supposed to be around -20c with wind chill here tomorrow, so I’m picking it up and its going straight to storage for the winter. Some sensor also broke which caused the front left to drop when it all happened

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Update to my car: Went to leave my house this morning to go to SC, pulled out of my driveway, pop pop pop, BANG!! followed by a ton of faults, adaptive suspension degraded, steering assist reduced, no traction, no stability, no emergency braking, no vehicle hold bunch more. Car noticeably lower...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Maybe, maybe not. Drove another S plaid on 21’s tonight that exhibited none of these behaviors. I’ve blown up a few high dollar engines to know it’s best to have issues documented. I’ve had 10’s of thousands of work done on good will out side of warranty because of problems being historically...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Yes, you are correct, on the 21’s. Store is less than 1km from my house so doubt there was any meaningful heat put in to the tires. Sometimes even when cold after sitting, it won’t do it. Ive had/driven 4wd and AWD vehicles for the last probably 20 years and never experienced this. Even a...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Temperature does not seen to be a factor, although it is getting colder in Ottawa, Canada. Today was about 10c though. Also, sometimes it doesnt do it at all. For instance yesterday I left my house to go to the grocery store, happened pulling out of my driveway. Coming back from the store, I...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

My car is booked in for this issue tomorrow and I can see on the work order it has the service bulletin and to update software to reduce vibration. It did not vibrate when new, and has gotten significantly worse in the last 2-3 weeks I also have another issue that feels like being in a 4wd with...

    Tire foam, remove or not?

Not that I know of, car was relatively new at the time. From what I understand, it started to peel away and balled up. If he still had the car I could pull up the invoice in the app, but he sold it and moved on to a Model Y There would be no problems. The foam is supposedly there to minimize...

    Tire foam, remove or not?

Sorry, I should have said he had stopped in Casselman to charge. So unsure of when exactly it let go, but after slowing from highway speeds, I guess would have given the chance for the portion of foam to fall out of place. Once continuing his drive, the part of foam was probably in a different...

    Tire foam, remove or not?

From the stock continental RX’s or whatever they were, like maybe 10%?? Think I’ve actually gotten better at timesZ It’s Probably because you start taking corners faster and more aggressively. I think people put too much thought into tire selection on EV’s. I can say on my 23 MYP, I can very...

    Tire foam, remove or not?

My brother in law’s model 3 foam let go in his tire midway from Montreal to Ottawa… made for a slow drive cause of the vibration from the imbalance. It was crazy how violent it was. I would never buy another set with foam inserts. I doubt you’d even notice a sound difference anyways…this...

Its always the wife! She didnt even tell me she smacked mine… I just asked her after I saw it, so you hit anything recently? Her model 3 19’s are a disaster. I gave up. I’ve had a set of BBS RS-GT’s on my 2005 BMW M3 for like 15 years and theres not a single curb rash! Good thing she can’t...

I have a 2023 MYP that I bought during the summer and as I was washing it one weekend I was thinking to myself how my wife had done so well by not parking close to any curbs and keeping the wheels pristine… until 3 days later walking up to the car and I see rear passenger side got smoked. I was...

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

If it triple blinks red before continuing the green light sequence, this is high temperature detection from the unit itself. How old and what part number is the connector? My 2020 connector had the same issue, I want to say the part number ended in “F”, and there was an issue with the optical...

Looking for real world winter consumption values

+1. Plus thats going from 100%-0%, which no one does, so in essence you have unusable range. My car is around the same ~475km at 100%. Could I get that? Maybe in the summer time on a full discharge. I can beat the rated consumption if I really try, but where’s the fun in that. I’m in Ottawa...

Looking for real world winter consumption values

Ya, snow accumulation is painful for energy consumption. Speed will play a big factor for you as well. I should try to do my trip in the most effecient way possible one time to see if I can get close to what the car predicts. Looking at the energy graph is normally way off for me, because of the...

Looking for real world winter consumption values

For what its worth, I have a 2020 Long Range, so no heat pump, but I am familiar with Canada’s freezing temps. I regularly do 250km trip from Ottawa to the south shore in Montreal. In the winter I generally leave 90-100% charge, pre condition the car, and usually arrive with 20% left. Heat set...

Cold weather experience Model 3LR AWD

Really? When did that happen? I’ve always had mine on max, never changed that, but my wife had her profile set on low and I never heard her say she experienced a change in the car’s behaviour.
  26. J

Cold weather experience Model 3LR AWD

Sounds about right. I live in Ottawa, and in the winter am usually atound 225-250wh/km. I’d say the best I’d be able to get out of the car in winter months would probably be ~300km on a full charge 100%-0%, although realistically it’s less as I dont charge to 100%, except for twice, and I dont...

Tesla wall connector gen3 overheating fix

This is what I received and installed yesterday night. Temperature was pretty extreme in my city today, +40c with humidity, and I charged multiple cars basically all day to try it. No issues at all… old one wouldve started overheating after 20-30 minutes in these temps.

Tesla wall connector gen3 overheating fix

Another overheat issue over here. They pushed a new firmware to it yesterday, charged today, started over heating after 30 minutes, dropped from 40A down to 32A. I called in, and theyre ahipping me a new one, no questions asked. I called 1-888-765-2489 fwiw

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

To those of you who responded to me I thank you very much, and those who reached out privately as well. Another question, outside of options trading which there seems to be a lot of, does the majority continue to buy shares to add to your portfolio as well?

Thank you for confirming which I was already 99% decided was to hold them and just add to it. I hope to be able to put another 50-100k by the end of January. I love the atmosphere in here and how everyone just wants to help everyone, and share their knowledge and experiences regardless of...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Hi Everyone, I just want to start off by saying I’m a complete noob when it comes to anything stocks. I’ve always been leary about it as I know a few people who have lost quite a bit. I turned to real estate instead. While I’m not by any means wealthy, I live comfortably within my means. I...

I'd say the same... roughly 90-100km up to 350km... I'm going up to my cottage this weekend which is about 15-20 minutes from Perth, not sure if I'll take the Model3 there, but if I do, I'll try out the SC there too.

    Montreal PPF dilema

I some how missed the part about it being leased. In that case, ya, I wouldn’t bother spending money on something that I can’t really remove and keep, for a car thats not mine. In Ottawa, a full wrap is around 5k, so not really cheap. But if you buy accel boost, you can’t take it with you...

    Montreal PPF dilema

Did it myself, not difficult as long as you can turn a wrench. I did 2 sets at the same time, I put some on my brother’s M3P as well. Maybe about an hour to do them, 1.5 taking your time with a beer break or two.

I haven't been able to try it out again yet. With the colder weather, my car just stays plugged in all the time now, so it's always topped up. Seems people charge rates are all over the place. I might try the Perth one this weekend, might head up to my cottage which is about 15-20 minutes from...

    Montreal PPF dilema

I'm in Ottawa and used to commute weekly to Montreal. I would basically spend a week in MTL and a week in Ottawa before Covid. My 2015 Lexus Is350 has partial front clearshield on the hood, mirrors and quarters. The front bumper looks sandblasted as well. Hood fairly chipped up, rockers look...

How bad is M3 paint in reality?

I took delivery of a white LR on June 30, 2020. Was pretty excited so tried to give it my best inspection but really just wanted to drive it. Paint looked good, very nice. About a week later a found about a 4-5inch run, kind of under the side skirt, and noticed the rear bumper color match was...

I also tried changing spots the other day, no better. I might be back in the area tomorrow, maybe I’ll try setting Rideau SC as my destination so it pre conditions, and just go to Bells Corners to see if it makes a difference

Supercharger - Nepean, ON - Robertson Road

I should’ve been more specific, I don’t actually charge to 100%, just meant that if I slide the slider all the way right, sometimes it says 100%, and sometimes lower. I’m usually 60% charge limit, plugged in when not in use. Rarely get down below 40% with my limited driving these days. I bump...
