Most of these updates aren’t that big of a deal. Also my Tesla seems to eventually download the update over cellular given enough time.

Are you near a service center? I would go through with the invoice estimate and talk to the service advisor (or whatever their title is) when you drop off the car. The few that I've met are SUPER reasonable and I feel like you have a good chance to have them replace under warranty. Worst comes...

They ended up replacing some window regulator on mine.

I figure just post it and see? Its pretty minimal effort there. Or go through carvana, vroom, etc and see what they give you for it.

may I suggest white. Porsche is rocking white calipers on some models and it kind of shows off a "my car is so clean I can afford to have white calipers" which actually works for the Tesla since you don't have as much brake dust

speakers are great, there is some consensus that the quality of streaming audio doesn't do the system justice. for best results you'll wanna put your music on a usb stick. compromise I think is to use bluetooth to stream it from your phone. I've modified the tray with a MagSafe charging puck (keep in mind I have the old console). Main problem is you can only get one in there, if you want two you have run the second charger to a cigarette lighter and use an adapter. Sucks

Model Y has seen continuous improvement over the last 16 months. I would expect for this trend to continue so it’ll be very hard to say exactly what you’ll end up with in your car when you take delivery (whenever that might be).

This 3d tray + MagSafe charger seemed to work ok. You should know that it's hard to get 2 MagSafe chargers running since you don't have enough USB-C ports that send full power

In general Elon uses honesty only when it makes him look good. Here for instance he says that the original seats were bad only because the new ones are so much better, so buy a new one! Notice how he's not talking about anything bad that can't be improved.

Yeah, Tesla has been doing this since day one. What do they call it, continuous improvement or something. The benefit is it's always different and (hopefully) improving (heated steering wheel, laminated glass, etc) but not always (lack of lumbar support, removal of speaker, etc)
