I wondered the same thing myself. Maybe something to better support itself against the vehicle? It wasn't there on the test unit provided to KATS (Tesla CCS adapter now certified in South Korea but delayed until later this year).

My bets are on this being a firmware issue that'll be resolved with an upcoming software update. I doubt that Tesla would enable their North American and Korean fleet to talk CCS1 until they release their own adapter. I would assume that the Ukrainian adapter would start working at that point...

What's your source that says North American models are absent the CCS1 controller?

Bitwarden is great for this. After you select the username/password for it to autofill, it automatically copies the 2FA code to your clipboard. When whatever app/website prompts you for your 2FA code, just hit paste and you're done!
