I do agree with most of what you said, but I have noticed that the severity does vary. I drove a loaner Tesla a few months back where the ghosting was very noticeable, and I've driven another where I could almost ignore it. The picture posted earlier in this thread looks much less severe than...

Same thing here. Body shop did great work. However, if the alignment of the panels is only off by a little bit, and everything is working as it should, I probably wouldn't mess with it, unless it really bugs you.

OR 6. Some of us have three sets of lights for every real one. The LED light sources are the worst (tail lights, headlights, street lights, etc.)

I added an X with our State Farm rep back in July, and they didn't have any problems with it being a 90D. The 75D's were just starting to come out at the time, but if they had it once, it seems like it should still be in the system somewhere.

I noticed it in a Model S loaner I had, but the problem was much less pronounced.

We also had Aquapel on our S and it worked great (much better than RainX)! We tried Glare Pro Polish on our X and it isn't as good, so we're going to be going back to Aquapel.

The ghosting on my windshield seems pretty bad and I can see three distinct sets of lights. I have noticed that the further away the lights are, the worse the effect. The tail lights on the cars right in front of me have minimal ghosting, whereas the ones further away show the effect quite...

Check all of your windows and make sure they roll all of the way down and then all of the way back up again without any problems. The front passenger window on mine had an alignment issue.
