I relied too heavily on the white lines in the backup camera during a parallel park and finally curb rashed my back rim 😩 Can anyone recommend a DIY fix for the 19” sport rims?
Right but I need the flex instead of the regular one. So I’m debating whether I should get the CAV one now for a year until my decal expires and then switch over to flex or just not bother with it and get the flex now, use the HOV lane but not get the discount
Bringing this back... my CAV decal expires at the end of 2021. Would you recommend I get the fastrak flex (I’m going with flex over standard as I travel across the bay bridges frequently) and/or the CAV one? I don’t know if the CAV one will be worth it though since I only have a year left and...
I purchased a used M3 coloured MSM and the previous owner did not put on PPF. It’s difficult to see in the picture, but the front is chewed up from tons of rock chips. Anyone know how I can fix this (and the approximate cost)?
I will eventually get PPF for just the front bumper as the rest of...
What’s a good price to charge for a set of 4 M3 19” performance wheels? No curb rash, brand new tires (500 miles), TPMS, excellent condition. Debating whether or not to buy aero wheels and pocket the extra cash
Quote from Tesla’s website as of today:
“What connectivity package applies to Tesla cars purchased privately and have transferred ownership?
Tesla cars purchased privately or via third-party and have transferred ownership on or before January 20, 2020 will have free Premium Connectivity for the...
When they say “used Tesla” what does that mean - a used car purchased from Tesla directly or any car that is a Tesla branded car? That may change the outcome of getting lifetime premium:
- If means FROM Tesla, then if you purchased through private party, it should stay.
- If “used Tesla” means...
Right?! This is part of the reason I bought the specific car since it had lifetime premium connectivity. I’ll let you know if I’m able to get them to restore it. My hopes aren’t high though
This is where I get confused- the car is prior to June 2018 (lifetime of car has premium). But since I purchased it used after jan 2020, it’s saying I don’t have premium included. The car applies to both statements (should be included for lifetime) and should not be included (after jan 2020...
Purchased from a dealer. I test drove the car and made sure it had premium connectivity (rear heated seats, satellite map, live traffic, etc). I also called Tesla customer service prior to purchasing and gave them the vin and the person I talked to confirmed it would stay with the car after I...
Thank you for that quote - very helpful. The car did have it with the previous owner. It was in the hands of a local dealer for a few weeks, but Tesla never owned it. I told them since it was ordered before 2018, it should have lifetime warranty but their claim was that since I purchased it...
I purchased from a local dealer. But I’ll call them back and ask why their taking it away. They said before since I purchased the car after jan 2020 the car was no longer Eligible
Hi all, can you please help me out. I purchased a used 2017 model 3 LR (one of the first ones to come out). I was under the impression since this car was purchased new before July 2018 (or whatever the date is), that it has lifetime premium connectivity. I called Tesla customer service a few...
I’m pulling the plug and purchasing a Model 3! Before I do so, how does the current owner check the range of the car? Is the only way to charge to 100%?
Once I purchase and remove their phone from the list of keys, would they still be able to track the location of the car? Any way to...
I’m looking at buying a M3 and trying to figure out the best financial decision for autopilot (more features = more money). It’s not super important to me right now to have full autopilot as I don’t mind driving, especially in a car as fun as a Tesla!
But I’m wondering with Elon’s vision of...
Yes, I’ve factored those in. New SR+ is around $35K and LR is about 32K so LR is definitely cheaper. But not sure if I’ll end up spending 3K in maintenance if it’s not covered in warranty
Excellent points. I’m concerned about a SR since I’ll be going back and forth between SF and LA a decent amount and would like a LR for that reason, plus degradation, faster charging. But if it’s going to cost me an arm and leg in the long run to fix fit & finish, then not worth it
I’ll be commuting between SF & LA a decent amount. With a SR I’d have to stop 2 times but with LR only 1 stop would be necessary. Located in California so finding super chargers isn’t an issue for me
I need recommendations on what to do- I can either buy a cheaper 2018 LR with 55k miles that’s out of the basic warranty and has some cosmetic fit and finish issues OR go with a 2021 SR+. I’d prefer LR but am concerned it’s out of warranty with fit and finished issues. What’s the best choice?
Any recommendations for a relatively inexpensive yet quality tint in the Bay Area? I have a m3 and only want to do all 4 side windows, not the sunroof. If you could provide an estimate cost you were quoted/paid, I’d appreciate that!
Also, any recommendations for %s or photos of your tints? I...

Does tinting really help with saving battery life so my m3 sr+ doesn’t have to cool itself down as often?
Anyone who didn’t do tinting, do you feel like you’re baking inside? If this is more a cosmetic fix than practical, I want to save my money.
I’ve purchased a SR+ model 3 and will be driving back and forth between LA & SF fairly often (~360 miles). Will I be able to make it only stopping and charging once along the way?
I don’t mind stopping for a longer 30-40 min charge if I only have to stop 1 time. But since I’ll be making this...
