    100 Hz Pulse Charging?

I didn’t see where they named the wavelength other than High Frequency but that band runs 3-30MHz, there may be radio interference issues to solve along the way.

    Using a CCS Combo Adapter

“set climate and preheat battery”- that’s exactly what it does. The battery is heated enough to accept regen, not enough to accept the full output of a dcfc.

    Lug nut covers?

I’ve been given 2 different lengths at the SC, the longer ones could be trimmed down if they stick out.

I have the previous WR G3 SUV and they are great winter tires, these G4 are probably better still.

Buying a used 2020 Tesla Model X Long Range Plus Sport Utility 4D

1- The FSD should update OTA unless you prevent it like the current owner is doing. 2- You won’t get free supercharging once it’s put on your app/ removed from current owners app 3-Your money, your choice. Like choosing color or seating, all subjective. I’d get the X.

Preconditioning is not the same as getting the car ready for supercharger?

Good question. Some time when you’re driving to a SC try putting it in park for a minute and see if it stops preconditioning.

    2020 Model X LR+ w/FSD 40k miles for $48k - yes or no?

The cameras are there, the screen is there and shows 3 cameras when reversing. Seems like an OTA update could make that happen if they are serious about improving the vehicles over time that way.

    Blue liquid leaking

Agree it looks like coolant. Get it fixed asap, low coolant in a Tesla can require a tow truck, when warns it you it means you’re about to get stranded.

Battery/repair replacement Companies in the PNW

I don’t think battery replacement is a thing most owners ever have to worry about but there are extended warranties on the market if you feel the need. I’m looking at X Care because there are so many systems in the MX, if also covers the battery but if it was a la carte I might skip the battery...

    Question About TAPTES/Seat Cover Recommendation

I’ve had my own problems with China shipments. I use this one from amazon for my dogs and I’m happy with it, goes through the wash nicely in 2 pieces. It should be fine with kids too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J7ZD8RT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Seattle Area- recommended Tesla-friendly body shop who can fix this

Check around the area and you’ll find Tesla’s wait time is in line with the top body shops. Your wish for ‘1 day or 2 max’ is not realistic, and a ‘quick’ repair still has to wait in line with all the others. At least at Tesla service they don’t have other brands in line ahead of you. I’m...

    Battery preconditioning for CCS-1?

Do you know of a link to describe how to get s3xy button to do this (on a prerefresh X)? I’m mechanical enough but not tech savvy.

    Battery preconditioning for CCS-1?

    1. Locate convenient dcfc 2. Navigate to it 3. Preheat The car protects the battery with the same limits as navigating to a supercharger. Not asking for much here. A few years ago we had to manually initiate preconditioning on the screen, basically bring that back as an option, and of course...

    Battery preconditioning for CCS-1?

They could easily allow the driver to initiate the battery heating, and the car allows it within parameters to protect the battery.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

Maybe Tesla is discouraging DCFC competition by doing this aggressively. It’s not like competitors are popping up everywhere.

    Battery preconditioning for CCS-1?

I don’t think Tesla puts that much thought into what owners experience when charging.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

I doubt manufacturers will standardize charge port location. They never did with ICE gas caps. Gas stations have long enough hoses, charging stations just need long enough cables.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

I don’t know about CCS1 adapter being a smart purchase for most people. I was an early buyer through Delivered Korea and other than one test I’ve never needed it. For some people in some areas, sure, the rates may even be lower.

    AirBnB charger question

The Tesla gen 3 Wall Connector has selectable access but that feature wouldn’t be useful to an airbnb, its more for say an office where only the same group of cars can use it. In your case the cheap and easy way is to open the circuit between occupants. Have the cleaners shut off the breaker...

Installing a level 3 charger at home

There’s also the issue of most homes not having the available capacity, it would take more than half of a typical 200A service.

Installing a level 3 charger at home

Does level 3 mean any DC charging or just DC fast charging? I would look at a <10kW DC that used DC (solar) input. My thinking is that there would only be a loss at the dc-dc converter as opposed to the rectifier and dc-dc conv. the car uses to charge on AC. Not saying I’d buy one but I’d...

Custom wheels: what is best width and offset for perfect square setup on X?

Two sets of oem front wheels? My winter setup is a square 20”, I think my wheels are 8.5” but could have gone wider, tires are 265/45/20 Rest of the year I’m on stock staggered 22s but I don’t think there’s any fitment issue using fronts all around.

Collision repair shop in Seattle area question

    Considering Model X purchase

^^^ sk7671 You might like the 5 seat bench as-is, I have never had complaints about the backseat but it’s BS not to have a center armrest, that still bothers me. Tallest passenger I can think of that rode in back is about 6’3 and was fine. I doubt you’ll find an aftermarket bench let alone a...

    A new potential buyer

If you haven’t yet, decide on 5/6/7 seats for your use, it makes a big difference if you have child seats, dogs, go car camping, load up with boxes, or whatever. Decide on color and interior you‘ll be happy with. I regret buying FSD but I’m happy with a round wheel. You may want a second set of...

    The impact of NACS

Advice on Purchasing used X Model

    Considering Model X purchase

2021 MX (legacy/pre-refresh with vertical screen) were built Nov/Dec 2020- Jan 2021 then the X line was retooled for the refresh MX which appeared about Oct 2021 with yoke, horizontal screen, etc.

    Considering Model X purchase

I’ve used my 5 seater both ways, seat up and down for my dogs, it’s very versatile. Lately mostly with the seat up and a nice seat protector. They probably prefer laying on their beds with the seat flat but they load easier with the seat up, and I can keep my gear accessible behind the seat.

20000 new Tesla chargers at Hilton
