i once shifted my weight in the seat to grab something from the rear floor. car jumped two rollers, but luckily by the third backup roller, i managed to get it back into neutral to finish the wash... never moved my ass again in a car wash.
body color on the door handles, side camera plastic and emblems.
had to keep window surround trim to offset the brushed clearcoat wheels! it looked so good in person
here’s a little about the car.
Purchased right before the crazy Covid fueled car market. 19 used from Miami with about 8k miles. Like new when I got it. Test drove it(first ev experience) and immediately had to have it lol
Come to find it’s fast, but understeer is extreme and body gets super...
2019 white with white interior model 3 Perf with full suite of Mountain pass performance parts
all options with FSD which is currently awesome in south florida.
18,800 miles-currently driving-
MPP Sport adj coilovers
MPP FUCA
Unplugged Sway Bars
MPP master brake Brace
MPP Lower control arm...
as someone with all these components....its upsetting to see so many say there is no noticeable NVH increase.
its noticeable, just not annoying or unexpected. There is certainly more NVH with the bearings.
didnt see anyone ask you about what PSI you have your tires at?
did you get it back on...
having run the Hankook RS4s and Goodyear eagle f1 and MPS4S in 265s....
yes, they really are the best tire for a road car.
no warming necessary for grip,
2-3Xs the safe mileage if driving in the rain(south florida daily)
4-5Xs the mileage of 200treadwears with better grip all around(not on track)
i wasnt quite ready...i had only ordered 1 week prior....like no wait to be assigned vin.
And it felt strange for that to happen when people who ordered in the first quarter still havent received their vehicles. felt like it had to be one that was already rejected.
ordered black and creme on 7/29 and was literally scheduled to pick up the Plaid X 8/10....
Vin 3546xx
i just passed on the vin, didnt feel right to be able to pick up the new tesla 2 weeks after ordering.
Is it the most common build off the line or did someone else pass up on delivery day?
I...
why has no one put a go pro in the area of the motors and CV shafts?
we need to video tape the entire envelope of the suspension and motor setup during cruising and under heavy loads/braking....
PLEASE. trading in my MPP M3P next week for a plaid x i ordered last week....makes me feel like...
placed an order for an X Plaid last week... why is it being delivered next week?lol i just got my final MPP part installed on the 3.(compression rod bearing)
my 19M3P has MPP coilovers, FUCA, camber/toe arms, brake lines and brace, smash me skid, and compression rod/ lower control arm bearings...
lol im happy when i got 2500 and 3500 miles respectively out of my HK RS4 and GY F1 Supercar tires, and the upgrade to square 265 MPS4S still blows me away....
ill be ecstatic to get 8k out of the Michelins...which is the best summer tire you can possibly buy for a daily.
drive like a grandma asleep at the wheel, or on autopilot 100% of the time and every bushing may last the life of the car....(battery life)
pull out of your driveway trying to burn rubber, and take exit ramps 100MPH daily, and YMMV.
model 3 is a taxi.
model 3 perf with MPP collection is a racecar
i was referencing the increased NVH you may experience with MPP compression rod bearings, over the inserts or stock bushing.....
do you have the bearings?
why are you even debating my comments? we all know there is room for improvement, so my exaggeration/opinnion really set you off?
your...
the compression rod bushing and the lower control arm bushing were both torn in less then 15k miles, is that adequate longevity with no track time? the lower control arm deterioration was not acceptable, and would have failed inevitably....
(no track time, and i went through eagle f1 supercar...
what im saying is everyone here is looking for pretty much the best handling possible...with most considering a track day or two.
im not even tracking mine lol
MPP can send me their graph showing the substantial improvement with the inserts, but still having near 1mm of deflection, per side, I...
its not bad, no more bother then any other "sports car"
What I do find more audible is braking noises, which I thoroughly enjoy.
but under hard and heavy braking(like autocross braking) you will get mechanical whirring sounds....the harder I brake, and the more lateral the g forces, the more I...
i dont even think its about the aftermarket support so much as the actual vehicles that get put into production. From a model 3 to a Mach E, hummer to an Atlis chassis....we will have concepts which steal the narrative..(bollinger B1 is the sickest)
the other car makers are irrelevant....as all...
lol at the people on the outside that look at a model 3 and scoff....
i keep saying, outside of honda guys and oldschool JDMs....no 3rd party has addressed a need so well as MPP has done.
the need is track use, but the streetability has increased 10fold
FYI, at 15k miles my compression rod bushings were not up for more abuse...much like the rest of the bushings, and why they are all now solid MPP parts.
i really hope this technology and upgradability make it to the X plaid....
"anything" is better then factory OEM condition....
i assume the shim inserts help, but it cant be as solid as the bearing replacement they have. Again, they probably work brilliantly for what it is....
but if track times are important for you, its a no brainer.
what its really doing is removing the play in the OEM compression rod bushings....(and allowing further Caster adjustability which helps camber control with the wheel turned)
The handling of these cars and most Non-Track oriented cars is impeded by the main goal of isolating and removing NVH...
lets keep it to facts then....the only thing that would get me out of my Loaded Mountain Pass Model 3 Performance would be a GT2 RS......
I think im being forced to sell the m3p for a X Plaid.. im not upset, MPP should be able to make that the best SUV on the planet.
(child 2 on the way)( not...
stock compression rod to MPP inserts must be an improvement....
but the compression rod bearing upgrade is insane. That was a single item install along with an alignment and brake lines.
the immediate increase in feel and handling shot me into the moon, i kid you not, this factory compression...
yes, the downsides....
minimal i would say, i can hear rustling inside the car when under heavy braking application, maybe alittle more interior chatter on imperfect roads at speed..
not something anyone but the driver would notice on a decent highway.
Why there is not more conversation in regards to what really improves the handling of the car astounds me.
The compression rod bearing and lower control arm bushing take it to a whole new level. Now that i have most of the MPP components available (and UPP swaybars) you can really connect with...
your lack of MPS4S up front was the issue.
with my hellcat, i did MPS4S up front with drag radials in the rear... hook up and make the turn lol
tried the hankook rs4 in 265 when michelins were Back Ordered.
those hooked and tracked great, decent in rain, predictable and stable.
just went...
same wheel and tire setup. definitely needs 5mm or more.
I believe im running 8mm or whatever the max is for Performance stud length....
while i was on the goodyear F1 supercar 3s at 265, i rubbed through an ABS sensor wire... throw on more zip ties and be sure they run closer to the backside...
ill take a stab at these being Unplugged or Baer provided Brembo 2 piece rotors... they could possibly have a custom rotor hat, as i cant place a common design within the marketplace.
what do you have on the front?
well i can say this, i believe this system is warranted.
hankook RS4's 265 on 18x9.5s with only 5-6k miles on them(stock suspension and aligned when installed)
aggressive daily driving
rear right is bald(5 miles of life left)or(one trip to Electrified Garage)
rear left is just at wear...
didnt think about the brake caliper, but will check that out.
i need to understand the diff behavior better.... i dont take left turns much more then right, but maybe the outside tire slips/spins more during left turns then right.
had the alignment done earlier this year when new tires went on.
As the title describes, my right rear tire is worn nearly bald, while the left rear still just past treadwear bar.
Fronts still have half the life left it would seem.
Tire shouldnt matter but its a Hankook RS4 265 18
I do drive hard, and I do slide alot on the street, but i wouldnt think it...
i said when the turns start broseph... you need $10,000 rotors to make you go faster in a straight line lolololol
if i wanted straight line speed, i would have bought a cybertruck..
so did you road course your m3p before and after? if not, you dont know if your upgrades did anything for you...
you underspent on the brakes and wheels....
setup? M3P?
i would say that you need to have a M3P and utilize track mode..but i dont see how how you managed to not improve with standard racing improvements..
its not just "telsa"...they are crushing autocross
can confirm.
my Hellcat charger would require new rear tires every 3k miles or less, and a 93 oct gas pump visit 2 times a week...at least...
my M3P is 10x more fun and my electricity bill is only $20 higher...if that.
what tires are actually on the car? my m3p with dual motors is one of the best wet handling vehicles ive owned, even with race tires.
Your experience isnt totally out of line, but heavy rains and standing water is going to do this. Could there have been excessive standing water on that highway...
