I received word that all the parts are now in and that they have begun the replacement. They estimate it'll be done in the next couple days. We'll see.

Yep, just got confirmation. Replacing rear drive unit. Part ordered. I have little hope I’ll be getting my car back anytime soon. Seems pretty fishy that the exact same problem has hit two owners within a day or two of each other.

Anyone else think this could be temperature related? It’s been pretty cold here in Dallas the last couple days and I haven’t felt the vibration nearly as bad as before. So weird.

I’m debating whether to send my car to the shop for the replaced half shafts or to wait for Tesla to get to the root of the cause. Hearing that a tech claimed replacing the shafts is a temporary fix isn’t comforting.

Add me to the list of Plaid owners with the vibration issue at 43mph. 4K miles Has been happening for a couple months. I assumed I had a wheel out of balance because I had to replace a tire. Will be tracking this thread.

Don’t suppose anyone else experiences this? At 43mph I can feel a vibration through the yoke. It’s noticeable from around 43mph-48mph. After that no vibration. My instincts say unbalanced wheel since I did get some tire damage and had a tire replaced. Any other thoughts from you guys?
