How much did you have to put down and then over how many years do you have to make those payments? Probably 6 or 7. A lease is only 3 years of payments, with relatively little down, and after the 3 years, one is free to move on to a different vehicle. Teslas will probably be levitating by the...
I love the idea of GPS folding mirrors. Connecting it with HomeLink solves one potential use, however I don't need to fold my mirrors at home, and maybe there are others similarly situated. I have an awesome dedicated parking stall at work that is between a column and a wall. It's great that I...
I don't have much input on the Nikola choice, but I can see how your TMC handle actually could be misconstrued in a tiresome way. At least by teenage boys.
I strongly recommend the BBC series Black Mirror which can be streamed on Netflix. Each episode is a stand-alone story showing what might happen if technology goes wrong or too far. Fantastic, dark, thought-provoking stuff.
I've also noticed post 6.1 on USB that on some tracks, the artist name no longer is listed. Side question: any way to rename the USB drives other than USB1 and USB2?
I received a suggestion for an alternative route, using back roads instead of the highway from my work location to home. Thing is, I always take the back roads home. I know that I can turn off the suggestions, but I am curious to see if the system will recognize my usual commute and stop...
On .11 I noticed that, on Slacker, the bar showing the song length and remaining song length never moved past 0:00, although the song played normally. This has been fixed with .13
Ok ... I don't have my MS yet but I ordered the original Fobpocket. Then I ordered the new/improved one. Then I ordered the leather one. Now I have to order a silicone one. Unless you intend to single-handedly save the postal service, can you give me a head's up of what may be next???
Is there a way to get the vehicle image on the 17" center screen to show the turbine wheels when those are installed? I realize it would likely be the 21" turbines in the pic.
Do the winter mats have a strong "rubbery" smell when brand new? If so, I think I will order them now so that they can air out a bit until my car arrives in a month
I didn't ask a question because I didn't read your review. It was more of a general comment to participate in what will undoubtedly become a classic thread.
I had a CL600, then when the kids got too big, I downgraded to an E550. I was seriously considering (and test drove) the new S550...
I ordered my MS with the standard 19" wheels and will definitely be getting snow tires for winter. I am considering the Tsportline silvers and am inclined to put the non-winter tires on them and use the Tesla 19" wheels for the snow tires. Or should I do the opposite? I'd love some style...
I am trading in my MB and ordered a Model S without ever reading a word of Motor Trend in '13 or '14. Don't really care about shiny lights or shiny awards .
I live in Minneapolis, but I was born/raised in MKE, so I am obviously a Packers fan. Any particularly recommended routes from the Twin Cities to Lambeau and back?
Which emotion holds more passion "loooooooooovvvveeee" or "loooooovvvvvveeee"?
I thoroughly agree with @GoBlue88. I have participated in forums before and slightly after buying other cars, but ultimately, the passion wanes. I am heartened by the continuing participation in the Model S...
Safe travels! It will be hard to hang out at the fantastic UW terrace without having a few beers. You may want to add an extra day to your schedule
I am interested in the various solutions for lighting and appreciate the teslaccessories option as well as the cool homebrew methods. It's awesome to live in a country with free speech and a free market economy. This thread could use more of the latter, lol.
I don't own a Tesla yet and I am more likely to be selected as Ambassador to Monaco than become a beekeeper ... but here I am at TMC, thoroughly fascinated with you bee folk and wanting to read more about bees. Crazy world, ain't it?
I don't even have a Tesla yet, but wanted to pop in and acknowledge this cool thread. It really speaks to the community nature of the car. I hope the OP's son gets a big kick out of it now and in reflection someday ...
Classic! Living in MSP, I can say I'd much rather be in MPS! I remember once reading about a kid flying to Oakland who wound up in Auckland. (Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...)
Sorry for the nonsense post, but there is a city near Minneapolis named Farmington and I have now been fooled 5 times by reading "Farmington, NM" as "Farmington, MN" thinking we are getting an SC nearby!
Roger sells these stickers for the wheel caps, perhaps they will work for your purpose as well? http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/16174-Center-Cap-Tesla-T
