A picture of my car charging with the new CHAdeMO charger. There is an issue with the weight of the adapter & the CHAdeMO connector head torquing on the tesla charging socket.

Here is a picture of my car charging with the CHAdeMO adapter. FYI the adapter weighs 4# 10oz. The CHAdeMO connector seems to weigh more than that. The combined weights with the leverage seem to really torque the Tesla charging socket to the point of turning off and on with occasional yellow...

Brian - You beat me by about 10 minutes. Also looking to confirm the opening with all the "hoopla" with the Tesla guru's at 1PM Sat 9th. I thought we would mosey down to the celebration (from Tacoma) "just because we can".

I noticed that the permit was issued on Aug 1st but it wasn't stumbled upon until the 13th by Vger and opened on 7/23. I wonder if (and hope) some of the other SC's locations along the I90 route are further along in construction than any of us are aware of?? Fingers crossed that they are.:smile:

Only the doldrums in the US. Most of the new permitting & construction appears to be in Scandinavia. We seem to be on the back burner now. check out the supercharger.info site on the changes page.

I took a little run last weekend thru Ellensburg to Ritzville and back. I also was impressed in the Ritzville big charger enclosure which matched the design of the hosting facility. Really heavy duty hardware on the enclosure. There were some signs on the charging spaces that I had never seen...

Question on SC's. The individual stalls are numbered/lettered 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B etc. Can a car charge on 1A while another charges on 1B or are they like the Blink CHAdeMO chargers with 2 cables which allows 2 cars to be plugged in at the same time but only one is charging? Or maybe the amps...

Another option on charging is to get an adapter which is a NEMA 6-50 male plug. I bought mine from Tesla and it interchanges with the Tesla provided charger cord plugs. I looked tonight at the Tesla website but they no longer list it for sale. You can build your own adapter with the plug end...

Just a thought. With the geometry of the 19" vs 21" wheels and tires there is decidedly less 'chance' for "curb rash" on the 19" rims.
