That's a good point about it being someone that may have backed out, or I guess refused delivery? Is there a way to check that with the VIN or is it just a question I should ask them?

Ordered 6/4, went from no EDD, to October, to mid november - mid december, before finally settling on 11/9-11/29 yesterday and holding (so far) today

I have no reason to believe the dates will stay like this, and I'll probably be in that boat soon and they'll end up matching my LRMY dates in mid November as well. Optimism and ordering a car from Tesla don't seem to be able to exist in the same sentence haha

Yeah that's what I had been seeing. But 8/26 is quicker than I expected when I saw "5-7 weeks." I know it won't get here then but i'll take the closer window! :)

I unfortunately think you're right. It sucks, but its not something I have any control over. Just have to settle in and wait until 11/10-12/10...or later...
