I also just took delivery of my X after 16 months. And WOW. It’s quite the spaceship. No issues that I have seen yet which is a huge improvement from the very start of production. Panel alignment is very good. As its has been said here before, I would definitely say it was worth the wait.

That’s odd as my 3495 vin was just built this morning according the fremont advisor I just spoke to.

What floor mats do you guys think are the best choice for the 6 seater? I was looking at the Tesmanian ones as they seem close to the tesla ones since tesla doesn’t sell the rear mats.

For anyone taking delivery in Irvine location. I drove through the parking lot yesterday and saw about 13 or so X’s. And ~2 more on a semi truck on its way to the same location. The lot was quite full. So it looks like production is going well.

Getting a trade in call doesn't always mean a vin will soon follow. Hopefully in your case it does mean that your car is almost built and ready. But for me I got a call December 23rd and still don’t have a vin.

As far as I know Porsche doesn’t make a 6-7 seater Suv. And their new Cayenne Hybrid models gets 21mpg which is awful for a hybrid.

Exactly. It’s a huge difference. And a majority of people don’t use the superchargers unless on a road trip.

Even the hybrid model ain’t getting close to 34mpg. 🤷‍♂️

You trying to say a full tank for an gas Suv is less than $44? 😂 At $5 a gallon that would get you less range than a Model 3 Standard Range. I would also venture to say most gas suv’s are closer to 20-22mpg for not mid-size suv’s at least. Which changes the cost dramatically.

Is my math wrong? If you have 30mpg and it costs $5 per gallon, and a Tesla with 4 miles per kWh. Then at 44 cents per kWh you can get 11.36 kWh which equates to 45.45 miles per $5 spent. Which compared to the 30mpg gas car is 51% cheaper per mile driven.

The vast majority of charging is done not at a supercharger. And especially not at the more expensive superchargers. And for 99% of people road trips aren’t a regular occurrence. And even if it is for you then you are still paying ~50-60% less than $5 a gallon if you had a 30mpg car.

It’s for non-production staff only. And they got over 3 million applications last year so I doubt finding people is an issue.

Turns out it was real. As expected.

It’s apart of the UI. So unless that dude is an amazing CGI artist it seems real.

Maps are free in all Tesla cars and the internet connection to get the directions and whatnot is completely free. Live data and satellite view isn’t. On your phone however you pay for a data plan which allows you to get the directions.

This simply isn’t true for Tesla. They delivered 940k or something like that. They’re is no chance there is millions of fanatics that would accept anything.

Issues like this make me glad they haven’t delivered my X yet. Hopefully they fix it soon for current owners though.

Back to July after my March 7-31 then 16-31, then 23-April 1st. Then April 7-28th. The never ending wait continues. 🙃
