Not sure if this is good news or bad news. But I’ve just popped over to the Mirrat terminal in Port Melbourne, quite a few Model 3’s parked in the lot closest to the fence. Some movement with vehicle carriers going in. Not sure what they’ll be loaded with.

If going with the Agreed value option, I’d go with a value that matches the current price new from Tesla. Like, the drive-away price. If I’m not mistaken, without that, if you drive out of the delivery centre and have an accident that writes off your car, you’ll be out of pocket the difference...

The RORO search page doesn’t pick up vehicles on Armacup vessels. It’s for MOLACE vessels only.

I think it’s a “glitch” in their delivery system. I can’t remember if it was here on TMC or one of the Facebook groups, but someone asked Tesla why the stock appears online and they said they are reallocating them to orders, it’s just that they show on the website erroneously for a moment...

Instructions are provided in the email Tesla sends about it. The rego form is loaded into the system before the email is sent out, probably to avoid any confusion of “where’s this rego form you’re talking about?”

Once you get your invoice it will show a build date. Compare that with the Armacup schedules and/or MOLACE schedules to figure out what ship it might be on / due to be loaded on to.

There’s a bunch of green and yellow tractors lined up in the parking … no forkliftery though 🤷🏻‍♂️

Given the EDD 29 Nov to 13 Dec, I reckon @ddr0001 is lucky enough to have received car from an order cancellation, because the date range suggests its a car coming off the Don Juan in the coming 24 hours.

Perhaps some interesting stats from the spreadsheet that might put this waiting game into context. Breaking down the dates VINs are received, the average number of days from order date to VIN date: 2022 Q2 (Apr to Jun inclusive): 163 days - April: 97 days (sample size of 1) - May: 195 days...

Just popped over for lunch to Todd Rd where the vehicle transporters leave the Mirrat terminal in Melbourne. I could only see Toyotas on the back of trucks. A lot of them lined up for departure but none with Teslas on the back.

This seems like the payment method hasn’t been selected on your order eg the step where you tell Tesla you’re payment method is fully financed, part financed, or paying them cash?

I don’t think any paid service / forum has access to VIN-specific information that isn’t available publicly anyway. If it ends up on a MOLACE ship, MOLACE have a public VIN search page that anyone can enter their VIN into.

Usually it’s a “best guess” - work out your build date from the invoice, then work your way forward to the likely Armacup vessels or MOLACE vessels. This is how I guessed mine was in the Don Juan. Once the Don Juan reached the first Australian port (Brisbane), even though it wasn’t unloaded...

Trying to remain optimistic here, given the Don Juan has already docked and unloaded at Brisbane and Port Kembla, you’d hope anything that could cause quarantine issues would have been found already.
