How to match Tesla charging usage with light bill?

It's 2022, the "Me Too" movement came through so I'm lucky to get a home cooked meal once a month. Thank goodness for cereal and spaghetti!!

How to match Tesla charging usage with light bill?

Im not going to disagree with you but my wife is really stubborn. She will not even allow me to connect my account with hers so I can instantly send her money when she needs it. My bank writes her a check every 2 weeks and she has to wait 7 days. I told her to let me link my account with hers...

How to match Tesla charging usage with light bill?

I noticed somewhere in the app that it says only 93% of the energy made it to the car. So 753/0.93 = 809.677kwh*$0.15 = I owe $121.45!

My wife obviously struggles with math. 🤣🤣

How to match Tesla charging usage with light bill?

So the Tesla app shows a "Rolling" 31 day kwh usage but my light bill has set dates. I want to be able to see exactly how much the Tesla used in the same time frame as the light bill. This is to keep me and my wife from killing each other. She likes to keep the temperature in our little house at...

Looks like someone didn't do their "Due Diligence" before buying. I would have never bought used from Tesla, their prices are "Ludicrous".

Well you Model 3 fans should be grinning now. I found a 2018 Model 3 LR AWD with some nice features and we both agreed on a price. Now its up to the banks. I will say the owner did many tasteful mods on it, ones that I would have done myself. Fingers crossed that I can get this deal sealed...

No company on this planet can top them on reliability, their only weakness is they drink gasoline. Give me an electric version of the IS500 and Tesla loses big time!!

I've read everything so far and have learned a lot including someone who sent me a PM about spotting a new battery pack that are in unsuspecting dealers inventories. I think deals can be had using my Lexus as an example. I traded a 2015 Ford Focus ST in 2019 for a fully loaded 2014 Lexus IS350...

The used Model S "Sweetspot" for bargain shoppers, Total budget $41k or less.

I sat in a brand new one when i started this journey and immediately noticed how incredibly comfortable the drivers seat was. I asked the salesman if there was a MyPillow under me because that's what it felt like. But I don't know, if an older Model S is out of my price range then a new Model 3...

Wow, this thread just got really depressing. I know its reality and maybe I am just dreaming and all of you make good points. But I just won an ebay bid on a Gen 3 Tesla Wall Connector. now I have a lump in my throat. I cant even afford a Model 3.

So here's a deal until you read the CarFax! Then you have something like this with a clean 2 owner Carfax. Manufacture date on this one is 5/16 I feel like I should be using more resources other than CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com, FB Marketplace..etc

I'm more thrown off by the lack of a heads up display on the Model 3. Im 49years old and I need to glance down, not over to the right. I think they are really nice cars, but it just isn't me.

The used Model S "Sweetspot" for bargain shoppers, Total budget $41k or less.

I am noticing it seems only 60,70,75 and couple 85 battery levels are the only thing in that Model year and price range online. Some are AWD and some RWD. I know what i would prefer but my budget sucks. I guess you could say I am trying to get the most with as little money as possible. Crazy...

The used Model S "Sweetspot" for bargain shoppers, Total budget $41k or less.

So for the past several weeks, I have been cramming as much Tesla knowledge down my throat to try and make sensible choices. I've made a couple of posts and I think I know where to go on the charging aspect of things now for my house but still feel a little squeamish about what to look for in...

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

You are asking a guy who has never owned an EV (nor understands electrical connections other then they can catch fire or kill you) how he wants to charge his used Tesla. I don't how to properly charge and this thread went everywhere!! (guys dont like 14-50 or they do, 6-50 is an option or it...

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

So what's with the 14-50 plug? From what I have been reading, everyone hates on the 14-50 plug. Then I buy a 6-50 plug and get told I bought the wrong plug. Im not an expert in electrical sockets so trying to keep up here is daunting.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

Well I did buy this little turd from Tesla for the mobile charger. This will be dedicated for the charging of an EV, I wont be using the outlet for anything else. I have a 220v outlet that will be right next to it.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

SO I bought these and will have my electrician install them. I was thinking of just running 6AWG wire but after reading more here, maybe the 3AWG is the way to go to "futureproof" the connection. Also, currently I don't plan on using the Tesla for long road trips since I have 2 other gasoline...

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

what makes the 14-50 a bad choice? The cost of the wire? Is everyone going 6-50 now? PS the lady already sold her Tesla Wall Connector.

Thanks everyone, you have been a big help. Ill reach out to that lady she said $400 but its negotiable.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

Those pics were taken from a lady on NextDoor who said when she moved in to her house, the previous owner left it there. Maybe I should steer clear of it?

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

So get a Tesla Wall connector and have it hard wired into the breaker box? Is this the right one to use?

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

So I am trying to get my ducks in a row before i purchase a used Model S 2016+ I had an electrician come out to my house and he advised i would need a NEMA (or whatever its called) port installed in my wall near the fuse box. I plan on charging the Tesla outside in my driveway and away from my...

Possibly trading my Lexus IS350 F Sport for used 2017 Model S

Well unfortunately I don't have the ML sound system and I am not a hard core audiophile. The FSport on the IS adds just the badging, different grille and the better wheels..that's it. My Lexus mirrors whistle going down the highway at speed, and its very noticeable. When I turn the radio up for...

Possibly trading my Lexus IS350 F Sport for used 2017 Model S

I also found this one. I havent seen the CarFax on it yet but he came down to a price I can live with. The only thing is i have to drive 4 hours to go see it. He has a Model Y order so he's selling his 2017 Model S 75. It's just RWD but he did say it has FSD. I think I want the AWD over FSD...

Possibly trading my Lexus IS350 F Sport for used 2017 Model S

Im looking to buy a used 2017 Model S 75D. The Carfax says it has been side swiped but the side airbags didn't deploy. I checked it out in person and I can barely tell the left side was repaired. I used to paint in bodyshops for roughly 20 years before I got into IT so I have a really good eye...
