    Supercharger - Cann River, Vic

I wouldn't be one but worried about doing Cann River to Narooma in our LFP RWD. From Bombala to Canberra 210 km about 55% and that's on a cold day. The very worse range we have achieved was 330km and that was going Bombala, Bega, Tilba, Bermagui, Bega back up the Brown mountain ( 10km all up)...

    NSW EV charging master plan

The new chargers coming to Wagga, Narrabri etc aren't on plugshare yet. Just checked after reading the other post?

Popularity of Utes in Australia and the prospect of electric versions

Most sold vehicle in Australia is the Hilux and ford ranger is third. Iike me many people need utes for work. Only by having electric utes can we make a real difference so IMO it makes great sense to start getting electric utes into the Australian market. Saying that, I don't need a RAM size ute...

    NRMA fast charging network

It's all about member benefits, I'm a member of NRMA. I'll use the benefits that they give me. If you don't want to, fine. It's a free world. The sooner they start charging non members to stop the free loading, the better. In the end it's only your opinion against my opinion. We all know...

    NRMA fast charging network

I wonder how many of these other users though are actually NRMA members or have their insurance? So a paid member shouldn't use a charger they are a member of where someone who isn't a member thinks they have priority? Each to their own I suppose.

32 amp to Type 2 charging cable

I watched the BYD group in NZ and it was very interesting. They mentioned that if you charge a BYD on a 3 phase system you actually get less KW's per hour than charging on the 32amp single phase. Something about how BYD can only receive a single phase charge. So a 3 phase system (each phase...

    NRMA fast charging network

I've got a Tesla but I'm also an NRMA member and have my insurance through them. I'd use the free charger as well instead of paying. Especially if no one was waiting to use it. 👍

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Really happy for you PcS000. If I'm not wrong that time frame is near just like mine. About 6 weeks from when it's made to getting a rural delivery. Just need those wagga superchargers 👍

Any point is buying a type 2 cable?

    Buy it, cheap insurance 👍

    Ampol AmpCharge network

If I'm travelling and there's an Ampol charger there, I'll use it and pay the 60c no worries. I just think at this stage the more chargers the better and they all need to be encouraged.

NSW EV Rebate & Home Charger

Agree. I'm exactly like your situation. 2 phase power plus solar. Just lower your amps to roughly match your excess going back to the grid. Eg: for us we have a near 10kw system. On a sunny day we can charge at 16 amps and we are covering it with excess solar. Also, some energy providers are...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi _ajs_ can I ask if you have a normal hot water service. Maybe you know but if you have a catch power diverter you can divert excess power to heat your hot water before exporting to the grid. Even if it's wired for control load 👍

    Superchargers in Australia

The NSW programme is very good. First round grant winners for DCFCs should be announced “soon”. The high traffic locations will have 8 stalls - the first time we will see that outside of the Tesla network. Let's hope we hear who the winners are soon. So important for those who live and travel...

Wagga to Cooma over the Snowy

Thanks for that. If it was winter and some snow it would definitely be very tight. I think I would be confident going from Cooma to Wagga since there's a lot more down hill. Tumut or Talbingo really would be a good place even for a 50kw charger 👍

Wagga to Cooma over the Snowy

Cheers. Yes, it is the 2022 RWD. Was thinking I could go through Canberra but just seems a bit of an out of the way to do it. It would be great if they got a fast charger at Tumut. Even a destination charger at Adaminaby 👍

Ideal or Cost Effective Home Charging

Mmm did attach a pic of the graph for solar use for the day but can't see it. Maybe it needs to be approved first or didn't I do it right?

Ideal or Cost Effective Home Charging

Did a test last weekend. We have a 9.8kw solar system. The Enlighten app for Enphase. We could meet our houses needs, run the dryer at the same time as charging and have the amp setting at 24 and the solar was still meeting all these needs exporting to the grid. PS and it heated our hot water...

Wagga to Cooma over the Snowy

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has went from Wagga to Cooma over the Snowy mountains? With that incline at Talbingo and over the range, would you make it easy in a M3 RWD? Thanks for any experiences 👍

    Completing the Newell Highway

If you look at the NSW government supercharger rollout it has on its plan 4 chargers for Narrabri and moree for early 2023. But, even though the first round submissions finished middle of July there's still no news as to the winners and where they will be installed? I watch this space all the...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hey PcS000 this is only a rough guide but your situation is similar to ours (rural NSW delivery) it took us near 2 weeks to get our car delivered once it arrived in Australia. Hope yours doesn't take any longer. Just need that Tesla superchargers in Wagga now with all these new cars coming...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi PsC000. Said I would get back to you. The car turned up today 🎉🎉🎉. The car doesn't come covered and was actually quite dirty. Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi to all the people who are looking at finance options. I mentioned this hundreds of pages back. One option is to get your bank to do a home loan for your car. Yes, this can be done. NAB did it for us, it's the best rate but it had to be taken out over a shorter period. Ours 7 yrs. We did the...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Ok, I'll try. If your predictions are wrong, in the next few months you'll have a brand new car. If your worse fears are realised there will always be a second hand car to buy. If you are in my nsw you can only get the 3k rebate for a new car. Not even demo models can get the rebate. So there's...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

This is just out of pure inquisitiveness. Why do people blank out their number plates? We see them on the road everyday anyway. You can even just check a plate number on your NSW service app. Is there a real reason or is it just a fad people do but really don't know why? PS yes, can't sleep...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Ours was on the Euphony Ace (think that was the name). Arrived on the 13th. Tesla called last Saturday to let us know it was being picked up Wednesday just gone. We checked the NSW service app on Monday afternoon and the car showed up in the "my registrations" section. Tesla called again on...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Congrats and take a deep breath. First, pay Tesla. Organise your insurance with your vin (you might have to call as this option isn't on some websites but they do it) you won't get your rego until near the pickup. Yes, the shed painting, you might have to do some overtime for a few nights 😅...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi PcS000, have you been told that your car is with the 3rd party courier yet? Ours was picked up by them on Wednesday. Just waiting for the call now to say when they are dropping it off. We're South of Cooma

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Rego check. Some people have been asking how to check your rego details. Apart from the obvious of calling Tesla. If in NSW just go to your NSW service app. Click on registrations, them click my registrations. If you're car has been registered it'll show up in here with all the details 👍

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

It wasn't in Canberra but near Cooma. There was a small red hatch instead of the vans that you normally see. Only had the little mobile radar signs out near the car as well.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

You can just go straight to the Tesla website (Australian website) and buy a type 2 charging cable there if you want.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Ok, if anyone is in the same boat with a rural delivery and already paid their stamp duty in NSW. Heard from Tesla SA today. Once the car is registered, 3-4 weeks after that they will organise to do a refund back into our account. They must be waiting for the NSW government to give them the...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi King Punch, the problem is Tesla have already claimed it and it's now a credit on my account page. So I'm pretty sure I have to get it from them. I can't see the NSW government doing it twice? This is where a little bit of service from Tesla answering emails or your SA answering calls would...

Hi BlueMagnolia, I could be wrong but I think you posted about getting your stamp duty back on pick up. If I'm wrong sorry but if it was you how did it go? I've tried to contact Tesla regarding this since I'm getting a remote delivery. But no one has gotten back to us. I try not to be negative...
