Some people (I'm one) date their EDD updates in their signatures. You could look at a couple to see if you notice a trend. My last update came on a Tuesday

My understanding from what I've read on this thread is that EDD updates happen 2x/day 8 AM EST and 5 PM EST. VINs can come at any time.

As I typed this, my EDD moved to 8/5-8/19. Still don't believe it for a second.

They're all over the map. Seems we should all be expecting push backs. My EDD is only about a week earlier than you (8/12-9/9) and I ordered 4/18. Realistically expecting to take delivery somewhere in the final days of August or early September.

So odd. Tesla texted me this answer when I asked about home delivery vs pickup over the weekend. "We only offer deliveries for customers that are over 220 miles away from the closest pick up center, at a cost."

definitely inconsistent, because i replied to original text i received from tesla and they were able to tell me what service center i will be picking up from once i am assigned a delivery date.

So basically more to come on this from Tesla even if I haven't selected a preference up front? You find out once you're in your window and they reach out to schedule delivery.

I ordered online and dont remember selecting a pickup location. OD 4/18, with EDD showing 8/3-9/14 for long time. Does pickup location or home delivery get decided later?
