I tried other shims. I loosened the bolts then used a 3ft pry bar between the lower control arm and the car body to get the leverage needed to pull down so the upper arm then comes away from the mounting point to create enough room to slide the shims in.

Just go to any used car dealer that has one in stock and drive it. Or possibly find one local for sale by owner and message them. Should be a few very close to you. Check autotrader

That’s the issue with Tesla not fixing the problem. Now the cars will have aftermarket parts and Tesla will blame any suspension issues and noises on the aftermarket parts.
