For the issue I had, I fixed this a while ago, was that I had to adjust the "presentation stopper" micro switch, which is seen in the attached photo as switch #1. This switch stops the door handle presenting movement, so it stops it right before the handle triggers the "opener" (#2)...

I have a signature pre prod model and it has a metal bar at the bottom but no able catcher. At least for my case I can use the original 2 piece aeroshield just need to tuck in the lip under the bumper at the bottom front. I don't know how this will work with ankle catcher but I'm guessing...

I had this happened today. What a bummer cause I was running late for a party. I did the reboot a few times and it did show the T logo after I tapped on the screen but then it seemed to hang so I did another reboot. Also I thought that 12v bar battery might be low since I did get a warning...

Try ordering from the app. It works for me every time. I've even ordered for a completely different model (MX).

I purchased a pair of bulbs from Ebay for $12 or so. They work really well so far. Also, I didn't have to jack it up/pull out the wheels/tires. I just put it in highest suspension, and then turn the wheel all the way towards the side I was replacing. I have enough room to then remove the clips...

Parts? There are many places that recycle tesla parts nowadays. I don't know where you are but at least where I am there are many many places. That shouldn't be a problem.

I understand, and that's exactly what I want to do. I want to replace my HID headlight with LED headlights (2nd gen). What does this module do is the question I had. What is LINBUS signal? If there's a spec I might be able to make one myself. It's all just 0s and 1s at the end.

I'm also interested in learning different independent Tesla repair/service in the bay area. Not as serious as OP here but I want to be able to avoid crazy SC charges ($250 for per hour rate is nuts).

Success for me. I got them all from Tesla SC. They are much cheaper than ebay (and used) and other places I've seen online. So yea, I guess if you just follow the process: App -> Other -> need parts and list them, then it shouldn't be too difficult.

No error or warning from mcu and it all shows as on when you turn on the lights? If so then I don't understand why the new led headlight (not just bulb) won't work in older ms and need an emulator... maybe there's a trick.

Update: Today I got the message back in app and it just says "Your parts have arrived. Please pick them up by so-and-so date". I wrote back asking for the invoice/price breakdown. I guess this is the way to do it then (via the app)? Let's see if they were able to give me all those parts.

I thought the harness was the same? You can plug it in and it will turn on but I think there can be some errors due to difference in resistance value and what not.

That's the thing, the parts I am trying to buy are all listed as "Over the counter - No VIN".

Yes got that but when I went to the SC they asked for my info and my car shows up and after that they can't pull up the part numbers for other model year. How do I get around that? Will they need to always ask for and match with my car vin? If they do then how did ordering via service appt work?

I walked in to one of the service centers and they said they need the vin number for that year so I can get those parts. Epc site says over the counter (no vin)? Obviously I don't have the model s refresh so do I just get any vin number any random car? Or is the service dept guy wrong?
