Whooohooo. I got lucky today as well. A very nice mobile ranger who came to diagnose why my seat sometimes stopped during returning to the proper position, got me the BDM button 🎉🎉🎉. Now if only there’s a retrofit for the MCU3 and heated steering wheel, I’ll be golden!

Same. This is my last attempt to get this. They put this in order along with the estimate to repair the hatch glass that has a burnt defroster. Hopefully it’ll go through (the HEPA parts).

Yea I believe they’re shutting it down. Not sure if actual new owner of MY could do it but I highly doubt that.

You can plug a monitor in if you want to, just make sure it’s not a 4K monitor, otherwise you’ll get a blackscreen after bootup (at least that wa what happened to me before)

Do a search on AliExpress and you could get one less than 90 bucks. I got mine for $75. No issues during self-installation.

Since overclocking is no longer recommended or a must, you can opt for the standard plastic or acrylic enclosure instead of a metal one. The metal case will definitely interfere with the Pi's wifi and knowing Tesla's wifi card is not that great, it would most likely affect your performance.

No issue for Carplay generally. It’s just choppy when I stream YouTube on either Carplay or directly on the TeslaAndroid, but this is the limitation, not an isssue, as currently TeslaAndroid does not have hardware encoder/decoder yet.

I updated to 2022.44.2 just about an hour and a half ago. Will test it tomorrow as well on the performance of Tesla Android but I doubt there is any improved performance.

I'm also on the latest AutoKit (auto updated within the app) and it seems very laggy and slow. Carlinkit website only show the version 06.06.1609 but not 04.29.1750. I assume we have to reflash Tesla Android to get that version if it deems to be the most stable version.
