Anyone tried Rock Auto's "Suspensia" brand for compression rod bushings?

From my observation, that would impede the design of that bushing. The slots are there so the arm can move up and down. It will limit its movement if one was to fill the recesses. Proper orientation of the busing is important I think? Too bad that the spherical bearing destroyed the outer ball...

New all metal FUCA oem for model 3

Anyone had any experiences with the Megan or Godspeed arms from E Autosports? The price is less then half of those premium arms from MPP, UPP, Redwood etc.. Good comparison with the Whiteline arms but at half the price. Nice CNC has a really good deal on the rear camber arms as well?

    Another coilovers post

Any insight/prediction on the Koni yellow and UPP mild springs combo? Merry Christmas everyone. I hope that Santa Elon will give us a 10s Highland M3P next year. 🤞

New all metal FUCA oem for model 3

I had just completed my FUCA with polyurathane and ptfe combo. I hope that these 2 combo will eliminate the squeaking noises over time. Will see. I could just make them out of solid ptfe as well. It is too cold to install these now as snow is starting to fall. Will wait till spring to put these...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Just don't be like Audi from there RS variants. Well engineered but are always slower then its peer from M and AMG. If they built an good value DD performance car, there will always be a market for those cars. If I want a nice interior, there are other brands. Fun factor over rule nice interior...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I am pretty sure the M3P will continue because each model has its Performance variant including the CyberTruck in the Cyber Beast. S, X, Y and 3 all has there own Performance variants. Unless Elon decides to go soft against his compeditors which I can't see that?

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

I am in search for a similar vehicle as well. However I am in no rush 2 years out. In the meantime I can slide behind the wheel of the 23' M3P from time to time belongs to a family member. With a little of suspension mods, it has transformed the handling characteristics of the M3P. Lowering...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

There has to a better solution. Maybe using multi grade of urathanes (hardness) warp/coil within the bushing and a ptfe at the mounting bush/bolt to prevent binding which create noises. Something that create a progressive deflection rate if that's possible?

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

What happen to the sphericals? Because it cause the ball joints failure?

Cybertruck Delivery Event Watch Party | Tesla Motors Club Podcast #55

I am not surprised with the price increase. What hasn't gone up since 2019? That sucks. There was an ICE vehicle that I though I can get a few years back but it has seen priced itself beyond of my budget.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I could only imagine when those steering trickery works its way into other Performance variants to inspire even more confidence when driving aggressively. That Roadster will be special whenever production start?

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Excitement is building and hopefully we'll get what we are hoping for in the new M3P?

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Every Tesla model has its own performance variant. Straight line performance is in the Tesla DNA we can say?
  14. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

True for the base model. Same as other auto markers with their base/entry level model? But we the performance crowd, put the Model 3 P against there performance variants from other manufacturers. Just like they do against their competitions. Even the low budget Civic makes a performance variant...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Snow tires please for the safety of everyone. I don't think peoples will turn away from the M3 as long as they perceive a value in the price and tech from a Tesla. As for M3P, one shouldn't expect a huge visual difference because of the price difference between all variants? If they are...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

Which part from the pictures that fail? I could make something out of aluminum or poly to replace the oem part?
  17. B

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

Someone should try using ptfe instead of polyurethane just because they are naturally slippery so no lubricant is needed. Just my observation. Maye I will explore this idea further when I am all caught up with my control arms mod.
  18. B

    Non OEM parts

What about lowering springs, struts, control arms etc..suspensions components? Will they void your warranty for other issues that are not part of the suspensions? I am wondering that myself? Anyone?
  19. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

That's one of the main issue with the current car that we can't fixed. Suspensions, brakes, etc... we can with aftermarket parts. I am expecting it to be marginally heavier for the new car. That's the pattern with all manufacturers. Hopefully no more then 100 lbs?

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I am the kind of guy that put performance above all else as the most attractive feature in a performance sedan. Not saying that don't Iike a luxurious interior and other features.
  21. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Let me rephrase. The crowd that expect the performance level in comparison to those cars metioned. :) Of course we would expect a price increase relative to its upgrades.
  22. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Elon has to remember that those of us that are interested in Performance/Plaid variant are not your typical base model Tesla crowd. We are the M, AMG, RS, etc.. performance minded crowd.
  23. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Zero difference in performance/improvement? That's one way to lose your business to your competitors. I sure hope Elon is smoking (progression) the same thing as some off us are. :)
  24. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

How much weight does it potentially add to a M3P with say 600hp pkg? I hope they can find a good compromise between weight and hp. We don't need a 4500 lbs M3P at lease not myself. If weight is not a concern, I would be more interested for the Ioniq 5 N or Kia EV6 GT.
  25. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Come on Elon. Give us a 10s M3P.🤞
  26. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

True. Crossed my fingers that the new M3P will take back the bragging rights in performance. Yes, shopping for a early retirement gift for myself. :)

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Don't let age dictate what you should own/drive.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

The thing M3P has one other thing in their favor is its weight. Where as the other 2 Korean brands are quite porky?
  29. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Absolutely... I will sacrifice range for more power and keeping the weight in check as this is something that aftermarket community couldn't do. Suspensions, brake and wheels should be there secondary on their list keeping inline with their projected msrp.
  30. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Anyone knows if they do use the S dual motors, how much more weight would that add to the M3P?

    Tesla Plaid 2021

@Gapplebees, Congrats to you on that 9's street car. The bonus is you can exercise all that power in discrete. Have you post this on your respective ICE Forums? They may not take kindly to your positive view for Tesla or EV? lol.. Most of those on the ICE Forum that I frequent do not want...

Thank you all for replying. It would be great if Tesla could charge upto 80 amps some day.

    80 amp Home Charger?

Has anyone installed one of these to charge their M3s? They cost 2-3x more. It would be great to have the option to have quicker charge at home?

Aftermarket Control Arm Bushings, Lateral Arm etc...

Just curious what you think of these more robust UCA? Is it worth the bouble the cost for the aluminum, 50% for the box steel version over the the flimsy looking stock piece?

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

If it will dip into the 10s in the quarter mile, I will eliminate the BMW M3 as one of other choices. Love to have a Plaid, but it is such a big heavy car to my liking. Plus it may not fit into my single car garage. lol..

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Regardless of what the true hp is at, I hope that the new version will not run out of pace above 100 mph vs its EV /ICE competitors. That's what I personally want to see.
  41. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Can't seem to find the definite hp figure. Only base on reviews. And 1/4 mile varies. 11.7 on one of Carwow vids against the BMW M3.
  42. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Agreed. I want it to be able to hold its pace in the upper range that will not falls off in the current model.
  43. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

That would be ideal but I would settle for high 10's or low 11's that wouldn't add to much weight to the car. It has to not drop off in pace above 100 mph.
  44. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

What could we expect for HP? I hope that it will have 550hp+ and could stay in front in performance from its competitors sport ev from Kia, Hyundai and M3 awd etc...

    M3P air brake ducts

Here is an idea if this hasn't been discuss already? Attach small DC elecric fans to your brake duct to circulate air to your brakes? I would do this if I were tracking my car. There has to be room up in the frunk area for a small fan on either side maybe? I will look next time when I have the...
