I have a new 2023 model y long range. Per the specs the range is supposed to be 330 miles. When I set my charge to 90%, the car charges to 291 miles range. By my calculation, 90% of 330 should be 297. Does anyone know the reason for the discrepancy? Thank you.

I am impressed by all of you who are getting this type of information from a SA. I have the same order date as you and the app says March 5 - March 31 for me. When I text the number the only update I have ever gotten is check the app.

Tax credit eligibility question as we get closer to March: Is eligibility for the tax credit determined based on the date you place the order, the date on which a VIN is assigned, or the date on which you take delivery of the vehicle? Thank you.

I see a lot of folks preferring to pick up the car rather than have it delivered in order to inspect it. Is it a frequent occurrence that the car is defective in some way when it is delivered? Trying to determine whether I should do the same.

Not necessarily a lost cause. First, treasury could push the March date back. Second, if they do issue rules they could still be favorable. Hang in there.

It is so interesting to see the different experiences of those who placed orders within days of each other. My order was placed on 1/17 and immediately generated an EDD of March 4-March 31 that has not been updated a single time since then with no VIN yet assigned.

I had no idea NJ didn't charge sales tax on EVs. That is an outstanding benefit. How does that work if someone is not a resident of NJ? Could you schedule pickup of your Tesla in NJ, not pay the sales tax, and then drive it to your home state?

I am encouraged by the mid-January orders in this post getting VINs and delivery dates. I ordered blue/black MYLR on 1/17 and still waiting for VIN. Delivery date has not changed from 3/4-3/31. I keep checking the app 10x a day. 😀
