    Special care with gum removal?

Regular car wax will get the gum off. No need for a bug or tar remover agent here. You can also freeze the gum by holding an ice cube to it for a period of time until it is then easily removable. This ice method also works if you step in gum and transfer it to carpet or carpeted floor mats.

Daytona Yellow Brake Calipers on P85

I don't think the red calipers look good on the red car either because the red paint on the calipers from Tesla is no where near the multi coat red color on the car. I would suggest considering a third color choice that might compliment the multi coat red.

Daytona Yellow Brake Calipers on P85

A little too Ronald McDonald, ketchup and mustard for my taste.

Ordered a P85D, now thinking about losing my deposit and getting a CPO instead.

First and foremost, I am a firm believer that employees should be compensated fairly for a job well done. When there are resources for additional compensation or benefits that are deserved then it is always better to provide such rewards without the employees asking if they truly deserve such...

    85D vs P85D

I have not ordered yet but was dead set on a P85D and am now seriously considering the 85D for the same reasons you mentioned. I agree that 4.4 to 60 is fast enough especially when considering the price differential. One opposing thought to consider is that the zero to 60 for the P85D will...

70D vs. 85 in HP and zero to sixty

The 70D has 329 HP and goes zero to sixty in 5.2 seconds per the latest upgrade to the order website. The 85 has 362 hp and goes zero to sixty in 5.4 seconds. This makes no sense to me. Can someone explain or is that inaccurate?

When will the Model S get LED headlights?

The LED lights that are not approved in the good old USofA are the matrix LED headlights that Audi offers. Matrix LED lights allow you to use your high beam LED lights 100% of the time. individual LED bulbs turn off when the beam of your lights shine on cars in front of you and also when the...

    Tail lights

Yes, section 3 is what I was asking about. Thank you Danal for providing the numbered pics. The brake lights would look much better if section 3 illuminated as well.

Updated Website Error or Intentional? - 21' Silver Turbine Wheels

With today's website update for all of the model changes and color additions, it appears that the 21" silver turbine wheels are only an option with the P85D. All other models do not show these wheels available. I'm expecting that this is a site error and that it will be corrected, maybe even...

Black or Blue ? Totally torn...

David100: I have had many dark blue and many black cars in my life. I love shiny deep paint which is why I put myself through the agony that comes with these dark colors. Here is my advice: 1. If you really love the shine and luster that dark colors provide, Black is the deepest color you...

    Tail lights

2013_tesla_model-s_det_lt_8181304_600.jpg The inside light that is just to the right of the chrome surrounded reverse light. The light in question would raise up when the hatch is lifted to be clear lighted-t.jpg The inside part that is not lit in the second pic.

    Tail lights

Why doesn't the inside LED light illuminate on the tail light assembly? I'm referring to the inside lights that are housed in the section that raises when the hatch is opened.

    Suggestion: More posts per page?

I have spent a lot of time on many auto forums over the years but have never found a forum as popular as this one. My suggestion is that the number of posts per page be expanded from 10 to 30 or 40 like on other less popular forums so that when surfing through threads, you don't need to...

Harris Ranch Supercharger to Petaluma Supercharger (California)

Bruce: PM Sent. - - - Updated - - - Interesting. I knew both routes were close in mileage but I thought I-580 to I-5 was shorter.

Harris Ranch Supercharger to Petaluma Supercharger (California)

I plotted the course through Gilroy as an alternative and found the mileage to be as short an increase as you quoted. I like this idea best and love garlic so this sounds better and better. What really sealed the deal for me was the genuflect part. Well said! As a good Catholic boy, I can do...

Harris Ranch Supercharger to Petaluma Supercharger (California)

I can surely wait since I don't have the car yet! Planning trips already for a car that has not yet been built. V6.2 will tell me for sure, I agree. I would opt for Manteca as well to be sure until I knew the cars characteristics.

Harris Ranch Supercharger to Petaluma Supercharger (California)

Has anyone driven from Harris Ranch Supercharger on I-5 to I-580 and over the Richmond Bridge to U.S. 101 to the Petaluma Supercharger or the exact reverse? This is about 224 miles and seems like traffic and other factors could elevate range anxiety.

    21" Wheels

All of the wheels are the same and that is point i'm making. Directional wheels would have right side and left side wheels so the blades point the same direction when viewing the car from either side. Currently the blades point one direction on the right and the other direction on the left. -...

    21" Wheels

Currently a lurker but planning on a Model S for my next vehicle. Does anyone else agree that for $4,500, the 21" wheels should be directional with the blades facing the same direction when viewing the wheels from both sides of the car? I would think aerodynamics would be affected positively...
