What's your best guess on if and when the tech of the Cybertruck(4 Wheel Steer By Wire, 4860 structural battery pack, 48V architecture) will be incorporated in the Model S?
Tempted to get a new Plaid. 62,500 miles, also includes original 21" turbine wheels and an extra set of Arachnid wheels. $65K with transferable supercharging, $60K without
Lost my center screen, backup camera, TPMS, AP and cruise control, Slacker, radio, nav, charge timing, outside temp, half my motor power, Homelink and access via the app. Still drivable and headed to the SC Monday for the MCU 2 upgrade.
On a 4000 mile road trip and my autopilot quit. Not a big deal, but I'm in town for a couple days and figured I'd give the Vancouver service center a shot. The app showed a 2 week wait for an appointment so I just showed up and threw myself on their mercy. They promptly got me in a rental...
Inspired by MB300SD, I took the plunge and got a set of CC rotors and calipers from RacingBrakes. They were great to work with and the very busy owner personally took all the time I needed to make sure I got what I wanted. When I picked up the set, he even took me on a tour of the shop...
My HPWC that has been installed for 2 years will only charge at 60 amps now, vs the 72 until recently. It is on a 100 amp line and breaker with the 80 amp internal setting. When not connected, the car will allow a 72 amp setting as it has the optional 72 amp charger. Failing HPWC?
Discovered the Performance 3 trunk lights didn't work. Crawled in there and found that they hadn't been connected during assembly. Was able to find the wires and connect them, but evidently tugged on the harness enough to disconnect something else as the trunk wouldn't unlock. Wasn't sure...
Talked a friend into a Performance 3. During a test drive the rep showed 3 different modes for the rear camera display. Now that she has the car, I can't find the screen to select those. They were various degrees of wide angles.
Just had ColorPlus custom make some leather dye to repair a wear mark on my B pillar. It should now be a stock color #1033 Cream Beige and much cheaper and easier to order.
Just visited the service center in Santa Barbara and they measured my tire wear as part of their routine. 21" Michelin Super Sports, 6mm front and 5mm rear tread depth and even wear. I believe new they are 7 or 8mm. The rears have 17000 miles on them, the fronts about 9000 as they were...
My autopilot quit completely after the latest update and I finally discovered why today. I had hit the dumbest coyote in CA while on a trip to San Diego to buy a set of Arachnid wheels. Front bumper was trashed, but everything still worked fine until the update a couple weeks later. Santa...
Just got home from a bucket list road trip in my P100D. Spent 1 month circumnavigating the lower 48 visiting friends, family and interesting places. Car performed flawlessly, driver and road conditions less so. General comments: Never any range anxiety, often bladder anxiety. Only waited once...
I took delivery at the factory in late Dec of my P100D. Dropped it off at a film/tint shop just across the 880 immediately. During the process we discovered a flaw in the front bumper paint. Contacted Ray at the Fremont service center who had me bring it right in. On his own initiative, he...
Tried to file for my $2500 CA rebate today on the P100D I bought yesterday. The site wouldn't let me do it because it's a 2017 model and they don't have the correct VIN code yet from Tesla. They hope to get it from them by next week and say there is plenty of cash available through next summer.
Drove it a whole 2 miles to the tint/PPF shop, get it for real in 2 weeks. Huge day at the factory, probably over 100 deliveries and constant stream of transporters leaving full of S and X. Giant circus tent out front to handle it all. I got all the help I wanted and a modest swag bag.
