    FWD Stops Short

No wrap on my car, but I do have a carseat on the side that won't close. Maxi-cosi brand/style. Bulky but doesn't touch the door. My 2 year old says "FAIL!" when the door stops short. SC said it would be a firmware fix, but the new firmware they pushed to my car didn't help at all.

    FWD Stops Short

Anyone have a fix for this? I tried the 45 second up/down but it didn't work. The FWD gets stops about 80% of the time now and I have to press "close" multiple times to get the door to close completely. Service center appointment in Burlingame, CA is 6 weeks out.

    FWD Stops Short

I have the same partial close issue on the passenger side. Quite annoying as I need to watch the door close completely and confirm it shut before starting to walk away.

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

Does anyone know if repair time of "fit and finish" issues count towards the 30 days in the California lemon law?

    Rattles ?

After 2 visits and about 25 days in the SC, my many rattles seem to be gone. Some of the culprits were loose trim, cables/wires not secured within the doors, loose screws in the visor. As with Mark Z, I still have the creaking, and the rattles (when they were present) were mostly noticeable at...

Wrinkles and creases in ultra white perforated seats "normal"?

Actually in that pic you posted there appears to be a very small wrinkle/crease in the top left corner of the photo (rear corner of the seat cushion). SC says these types of creases are normal because the material is so soft and supple. I wonder if it is poor craftsmanship. Your pic also...

Wrinkles and creases in ultra white perforated seats "normal"?

Both my front ultra white preforated seats have one crease/wrinkle each on the middle of the seat cushions. They have been there since delivery. These are supposed to be the updated version with backing. SC used heat treatment to get them out but they reappeared as soon as someone sat on the...

    Rattles ?

I have rattles all over. They seem to multiply and get louder daily. It's been to the SC once and it wasn't fixed. Going back in tomorrow.

    Autopilot Question

Service advisor confirmed it is a torque sensor in the steering column/rack, not a pressure/grip sensor on the wheel. So you need to provide some drag/resistance on the wheel for the message to go away on the X.

Very loud fan noise from frunk area with AC on...

I have the same super loud fan noise with the AC on if it is a warm day. Today was about 72 degrees, and I heard it. Once the car unlocks it kicks on to "cool down" the car. It drew several confused/concerned stares from people nearby because it was so loud. I have no idea if its normal.

    Autopilot and "Hold Steering Wheel"

Yes, it senses torque or turning resistance. This was confirmed by my service advisor when I told him the "grip" sensor wasn't working. He also said the Model X requires slightly more torque than the Model S to make the warning go away.

    What's the avg Kwh/mile?

My Model X P90DL with 22" wheels is using about 530 watts/mile. I had a loaner Model S 90D with 19" wheels for a week and was using about 330 watts/mile. I'm getting about 30% less than the "rated" range. Nice to know the trip planner will re-route based on actual power consumption, but I wish...

Anyone else have door rattles in their Model X?

My Model X (with 22" wheels) has slight door rattles in the front driver and passenger doors, and more pronounced rattles in the passenger side falcon wing door. I just picked it up from the service center to fix the falcon wing door rattles, where they told me it was caused by a loose motor...

Tesla App - what do the Red/Blue arcs around mph mean?

While my X is at the SC, I can't help but track via the Tesla app. Anyone know what the blue/red arcs around the mph graphic mean? They change in size as the car is driving around.

03/21 - Poor Model X Factory Pickup Experience

The car in the OP developed the door latch issue, driver door won't open. Took it into SC, estimate is 2 weeks to fix all the issues (panel alignment, scratches, door latch, door alignment, rattles, wind noise). Got a loaner S. I think QC st Fremont factory is letting any issues SC can fix...

Model X Auto Opening and Closing Door Issues

My driver door won't open from the outside anymore. Closing and latching it is difficult, requires a lot of force to push & latch the door so I can lock the car. Tried the scroll wheel reset, the open/shut the door slowly thing, neither worked. The issue started when the driver door was open...

All you lucky owners. Can anyone comment on seat comfort/ride comfort?

I have the 22" wheels and you can feel little bumps, which I expected. When going over some bumps/dips in the road the car kinda see-saws forward and back a bit, kinda like I flew over them and landed hard on the front wheels, then bounced back. I wish there was a way to adjust the suspension...

Supercharger - San Mateo, CA - Park Place (LIVE, 8 V2 stalls)

I just left. I live about 10 miles away so I will give it another shot at an off peak time. My 14-50 will be installed next week as well. I did find it odd that so many Teslas use the supercharger at 5pm on a Tuesday. The timing seems like a local commuter, not someone on a road trip. Surely...

Supercharger - San Mateo, CA - Park Place (LIVE, 8 V2 stalls)

Just got my X, my 14-50 outlet won't be installed until next week so I swung by San Mateo supercharger around 5pm this Tuesday. I was surprised to see all 8 stalls full and 2 more cars in line. Is there a way to check online if the supercharger stalls are all on use? That would be helpful when...

03/21 - Poor Model X Factory Pickup Experience

During the factory tour I saw that the FWD were installed by humans. The striker plates are likely also installed by humans, which can cause the doors to close at different angles. I've seen better tolerances and alignment on a $15k Honda Civic. Better customer service as well. As for the...

03/21 - Poor Model X Factory Pickup Experience

Yes, they pushed me to sign paperwork before the factory tour and inspection. I was hesitant, but he said "don't worry, if there are any issues we will add them to the due bill. Its up to you tho." I signed the paperwork at that time, not realizing they would be signing a different song later...

03/21 - Poor Model X Factory Pickup Experience

Picked up my P90DL today at the Fremont factory. They are really rushing these cars and the delivery experience as we near end of quarter. My Model X only had 8 miles of range after it left detailing, so they parked it at the factory supercharger and the delivery specialist said "lets do the...

email from Tesla: Your Model X is built

At noon today I go the "We have good news for you. Your Model X is built and will be delivered to you this month." email. Then at 5:45pm I got one that reads Model X | P90DL | VIN 12xx | Midnight Silver | White Interior | 6 Seat | Premium | 22" Onyx Wheels

Best location for car seat in a 6 seat configuration?

In my specific case, my child will be sitting in a front facing car seat. Not sure which side is safer. I can think of few reasons for either side of the 2nd row, looking for other input. Driver side: I don't have to walk around the car to get her in/out of the car. Would be easier to see her...

I finally got a VIN as well, in the 1200's. Confirmed 12/28/16 P90DL with every option including the elusive Onyx Wheels. Not sure if the onyx wheel issue has been sorted out or if Tesla is just assigning VIN's to everyone now.

I am 5'11" and my hair touches the ceiling when sitting in the middle seat of the 2nd row. For reference, my hair also touches the rear glass window when sitting in the 3rd row. 3 adults in the 2nd row of the Model X was a really tight squeeze. I changed my config from 7 passenger to 6 after...

How many people ordered P90D w/ black Onix wheel did not get a vin yet?

I confirmed a P90DL with 22" carbon wheels and every extra option on 12/28/15. DS assigned last week but no VIN# yet. I see folks posting who confirmed after me that already have a VIN#. There is speculation that there is/was a limited supply of the carbon wheels, perhaps leading Tesla to change...

I was at the factory event on Friday for those who have configured their orders already. "Meet Model X: Exclusive Viewing"

I attended the event, first time seeing the Model X in person. My overall impression was that seating in the car is very tight, especially in the 7 passenger version. I suppose this is to be expected from a CUV, but I'm glad I was able to reset my expectations, resulting in us thinking carefully...
