What are your deal-breakers when buying any car?

Best car I ever owned was my VW Jetta TDI. I miss that car, ran on veggie too. :)

    Rebates in Ontario...

There may not be many PHEV's built here in Ontario. However, Ontario is a major auto parts manufacturer. BMW, Toyota AND Tesla have auto parts manufactured here. Magna will definitely be involved in building parts for the Model 3. This system has nothing to do with punishing Tesla, quite...

    Model 3 Margins

Their margins will be higher with every passing year. Battery costs will go down, but the price won't.

A Canadian perspective, and what options will you be getting?

EV incentives will be here for a while. The costs of pollution are too high to do nothing. We have a LOT of vehicles here spewing out chronic lung disease for everyone. Counting the health costs of energy generation | Toronto Star The Ontario government gets that. We have to educate people...

A Canadian perspective, and what options will you be getting?

I'm looking at the larger battery and dual motors for sure. Metallic paint, pano roof, accessory tow hitch, and autopilot are maybe's. I was planning on using the rebate for options, but I like the solar panel idea @Don85D mentioned.

Misleading Article in Ontario about tax subsidies

Of course crap like this is being passed around on media outlets in Toronto. FYI, the subsidy was changed in January, she is using documents from the past 6 years that aren't in effect anymore. No mention of big oil subsidies or how much pollution costs taxpayers. Ontario Should Stop...

    Wheel & Tire Size Consideration

I wonder if I put 18" winter tires on the M3 with solid hub caps; (I don't change my winter tires on the same rims. My winter set will probably be on steel rims) would I get 10-15% range back in cold weather? Assuming they are equipped with 20" all seasons for summer.

    Is HUD a bad idea?

Actually, looking at the HUD in this video, I can get use to that. I just had visions of lines and crosshairs all over the windshield! Lol.
  11. BravoSarah

    Is HUD a bad idea?

I just don't think I want anything in my line of sight.
  12. BravoSarah

    Is HUD a bad idea?

Am I the only one that thinks HUD is inferior to digital dash? I'm really hoping for a digital dash. It's far easier to see, and looks a lot nicer imo.

    Custom Charging Adapters?

I've attached a photo of a plug available at work. I found out that it is a NEMA 5-30r outlet. Has anyone had custom adapters made? I've seen some companies online, has anyone had a good or bad experience with any of them? Also, would this be a 10hr charge? 30amp, 125 volts? Thank you in...

Why are people (including Elon) surprised by the number of Model 3 orders?

Makes me really wonder what they have in store for Part 2!
  15. BravoSarah

Survey: Why did you pre-order a TESLA Model 3?

I support the vision, but also have a long commute and the gas mileage is brutal! The range of a Tesla is the only EV available to me. I require 300 km or more.
  16. BravoSarah

Why are people (including Elon) surprised by the number of Model 3 orders?

For obvious reasons, I don't think anyone who camped overnight was surprised. (I camped overnight!) :D

    Solar Roof Option

That would be a great idea. If someone could build a solar panel efficient enough to be effective on the roof of an EV, they'd become very wealthy. I'd love to see it in my lifetime. :)
  18. BravoSarah

Would You Prefer A Solid Roof?

I thought of this earlier when I heard a solid roof would be the base model. If there's a solid roof, where would it come down on the rear window? Wouldn't that most likely mean a liftback? I'm in for a solid roof. The pano is nice, but not nice enough to pay extra for it imo. :)

Your Ideal Model 3 Color Configuration

Midnight Blue Metallic! Fingers crossed. :) A Charcoal Grey interior would be nice, but I'll probably get black.

    Military Veteran Discount?Veteran

I'm not sure about a discount, but I do know that some job postings at Tesla are for veterans only. That's pretty cool.

How much would you pay for Supercharging on Model 3?

Idk, all I see is negative consequences for the company, when you've given free SC to the wealthy; but start charging for it when it goes to the masses. I think AlexT hit the nail on the head with a fair use policy.
  23. BravoSarah

How much would you pay for Supercharging on Model 3?

My point is (and I may not have made it very well), that it was said by Elon himself, it will be free forever. Basically making it a promise. Breaking promises will have consequences.
  24. BravoSarah

How much would you pay for Supercharging on Model 3?

Pay-per-use SC's would be a huge blow to the EV market. ICE drivers would point and shout "See I told you it couldn't be done!" Newspapers would throw out articles explaining how EV's will drive up the cost of electricity and that it will become the new oil. Just look at the crap that's out...

Can someone please photo shop a white rendering of Model 3

I really liked that dark dark blue they had. I love your photoshop grey! I would order the Midnight Silver Metallic or a really dark blue.

What is your true Model 3 budget?

Being in Canada the dollar will have a huge impact on me. If it were today $35,000 USD is $46,147.50 CAD. I may not get much more than the Supercharger and sub zero packages. Those are necessary. Dual motors and the top battery is on my wishlist. We'll see what the Canadian dollar brings...

    Towing option for Model 3

Not a make or break for me, I'm all in anyway. It didn't even care what it was going to look like! However, I'm glad it will be made available. Going to the cottage we put kayaks on the roof and bikes on the hitch. :D (wind resistance might be a bitch tho! Lol)

What is this? & Why is it up here?

There's a rod from the cylinder to the center of the roof. You can see it better in the unveil video. Also, if you look at a photo from above you can see a partition in the glass near the b pillar. Just hoping...but I think the evidence suggests we're being punked with the small trunk.

What is this? & Why is it up here?

Is this a hinge for a hatchback?
  33. BravoSarah

    Model 3 Notchback Trunk - Deal-Killer?

It is hard to see in the photo, but there is a hinge at the top of the roof line. I've uploaded another photo. I've circled the gas tube and put a line over the rod. Also, when you look at the glass, you'll see it's not one piece. There's a separation above the B pillar. It could be...

    Model 3 Notchback Trunk - Deal-Killer?

I don't think it will be that little hole in the back at production. If you look at the unveiling the model shown had a hinge at the top. I'm certain it will be a hatchback.
  36. BravoSarah

How can Model 3 already have 5-star NHTSA ratings?

He promised that it will have, not that it does.
  37. BravoSarah

    Model 3 preorder count

He did say that they could produce 500,000 cars/ year. I wonder how many MS's & MX's they will continue to produce during this time?
  38. BravoSarah

When will Model 3 be available if you don't reserve?

I would reserve online anyway. If your lease isn't up put it on leasebusters.

    Priority Given to MS&X Owners

I have no problem with current owners and employees getting first dibs. Without either of these there would be no M3.

    Model 3 Notchback Trunk - Deal-Killer?

You know some idiot would smash the glass loading something big into a hatchback. I can live with the truck, as long as my skis will fit!

    Superchargers for Model 3

I can't see Tesla ever using SC's as a pay-per-use system. I think it would just upset people who bought the M3. I can see it as an add-on option. Which I will buy into. I find it interesting about the upcoming Destination Charger infrastructure growth. Tesla will be doubling the SC...

    Front End... Hmmmmmm

I have to say that I really like it, more today then yesterday even. I think the X grill would look good on it too. Regardless, I'm in Toronto, and I'd have to put a plate on the front anyway. :(
