Tesla really needs to lengthen the cables. 25% of the time i supercharge, I have to use summon to back in a little more for the cable to reach. i have no idea how the hell they're going to open up superchargers to third party cars when their charge ports are too far away.

Yup that's how they designed it. Starts accumulating immediately and will be waived if you unplugged within 5 minutes. Screen will show you accumulated that charge but it shouldn't have charged you the extra $2.

I haven't been there since they were doing a bunch of construction a year or two ago, but IIRC, that entrance/exit location is usually quite bad during meal times. Those specific parking spaces are usually dead though.
