I ordered Dec 8th, heard nothing, then out of the blue a telephone call last Thursday. Picked it up Saturday. Used it to power my house Sunday when PG&E failed us during a storm. Yes, I really like it.

You impugn Elon without fully understanding the context of his comment. I can easily imagine situations where robots are impacted by air resistance, such as picking up and moving large sheets of material (glass or metal) and I'm sure there are more.

Here's the judgment: https://courts.delaware.gov/Opinions/Download.aspx?id=359340 ". . . the defendants bore the burden of proving that the compensation plan was fair, and they failed to meet their burden."

I'm not an employee and got my email. The price is silly but I've been dreaming about this for so long. Now I wait to see when they can deliver.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I read this: "Regional bank stocks recover after huge losses this week." Coincidentally, yesterday I read a couple of articles suggesting a potential "crackdown" on regional bank stock short sellers. I guess it's OK to do some thieving but not OK to crash the whole system. Just a theory for a...

I like the way "ignore" is currently handled. I find it heartening to see responses to people on my list. I don't read the responses but I know the uninitiated are being given good solid "counters" to the FUD. Thanks to all that are willing to wade in and fight the good fight.

I can't remember if the construction at the South end of the main building, where the parking lot was pulled up, has been designated for a particular purpose. Gen 3?

Engadget Headline: Tesla recalls 321,000 Model 3 and Model Y cars over rear light issue It’s the second recall in as many days for the automaker. Three paragraphs in: "Tesla will release a software update to address the issue."

It's a dream of mine that the SEC would force the identification of the owners of all the share at one point in time. We'd finally know how many shares are really in circulation.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Licensing FSD to VW, and others, has increased value, beyond the obvious monetary and safety benefits. Including others to help in the political realm wasn't obvious to me until the discussion about the NHTSA. Elon playing 4D chess?

I'd love it if the Boring Company were made part of Tesla, but I'm pretty sure they'll stay separate. There might be a good bit of money selling robotaxies to the Boring Company, however.

The nut will be cracked if a lot of the huge savings from self-loading works its way to union bosses and captains. Again, silly, but realistic.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Tesla is shaping up to be just as impactful to the world and will grow much faster than the Dutch East India Company. The VOC had estimated value, at its height, at over $7 Trillion (inflation adjusted). So, a Tesla 10X isn't out of the realm of historical reason.

Thanks for your response and sorry my comment missed my target. I was trying to imply others use simulations to primarily build their platforms (failing) and Tesla uses simulations to finish theirs (succeeding). In a similar vein, I agree with Elon, LIDAR has its place and applications, but...

Also think it's funny the immense data collection from the fleet is not enough and they are supplementing with highly developed simulations.

"It's just not in many people's interest to do so." I think it's in too many people's interest to not do so. And, they have money and power to keep the "political will" under control.

Why not 4680's (from Kato Rd) exclusively in Performance MY, 2170's in Long Range MY until 4680's ramp. All North American Performance MY made in Austin (ship the batteries). Or, all North American Performance MY made in Fremont (ship the front castings). Europe could have a similar split...

The order page still says, "Tri Motor AWD production is expected in late 2021." Tesla has had ample opportunity to change this statement and hasn't. I don't expect much volume in late 2021 but I tend to believe some production will take place around January 22 +/-. Maybe only dribbles and...

Cash in my primary investment account is now $89.78. I have never had it this low in fifty years or ever imagined I would have it this low. TSLA draws an amazing, once in a lifetime, commitment and, not just for the money I might (expect to) make. I am inspired by the Mission, the execution...

As silly as it sounds, I find planning and executing Supercharger stops to be a significantly enjoyable part of the many cross-country trips I've taken over the past few years. I could never gin up any positive emotional response for gasoline stops. OK, maybe periodic relief. But now, every...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

What I “know” is Tesla bought a fungible commodity (Bitcoin) instead of holding cash. The purpose was an expected retention of capital and to experiment with the liquidity of the commodity. As an aside, Tesla allowed small purchases to be made with Bitcoin. It became obvious the energy cost for...

Very irritating. I design a prudent diversified investment plan (still heavily TSLA HODL, of course) and then 680 is available and . . . out the window goes the plan. Good luck to all of us that caught the falling knife.

These Masters of the Universe were so accurate for Q1 I'm sure their clients think super highly of them. "Modest" increases are going to include S&X delivery along with further ramps in China and Fremont. Then feed-in production from two new factories . . . what are they looking at?
