I just discovered this EV Roadmap Conference thingy by happy accident and not through this forum. The one for this year was last month. Time to make EVMR a new thread? (I did a search, couldn't find anything.)
Next Year's EV Roadmap Dates Announced - EVRM10 will be June 20-21, 2017
Thanks. Did a search and came up with this Aug. 2014 TechCrunch article. Here's the Cliffs:
"Originally, the Model S carried a four-year, 50,000-mile limited warranty that could be extended to 8 years and 100,000 miles for an additional $4,000 fee. ... ... ... ... The warranty extends to new...
The phrasing of this intrigues me. If I read correctly, If people had the foresight to register for the federal tax credit in advance for the inevitable M3, even before it was named/announced, that would have saved us some heartache? Or am I reading too much into this?
Thanks for this. Immensely. And now for the inevitable Q: How long have you had your EV and ballparking it, roughly how many miles per year on average have you put on your Tesla? Indeed, If EM stated that the goal is a "million-mile drive train," then all Tesla EVs, including the forthcoming M3...
When it comes to job hunting, regardless of company, I always like to do a bit of old-school networking, both in person and virtual. Of course, one's mileage may vary, depending on factors such as timing (or lack thereof) and approach.
Crazy idea: Because of the flood of new EVs/Teslas being produced between now and forever, and if given the option, I wonder if Tesla would offer traditional "mom and pop" auto repair shops and/or service stations a chance to become "Tesla Certified," with a built-in referral program for Tesla...
The last paragraph of the article should have been the first:
"It’s worth noting that matte paint is probably a poor choice if you’re planning to use the Veloster as a daily driver. It looks cool, but unless you have a garage and the time to spot clean and hand wash on a regular basis, it’s...
Trying to keep things simple: From my credit union, thinking about opening up a money market account, keep putting money into it, then in 2+ years, make a down payment, then finance the rest of it through the same credit union @ a 1.99% APR w/a 5-year loan. If I'm resourceful, hope to pay it off...
Just discovered this thread by happy accident: a combo of this news story that arrived in my e-mail box today which mentioned the "Clean Vehicle Rebate Project," then curiosity lead me to type in "CVRB" via a Google Alert and volia! The Internet scares me sometimes, LOL.
Any chance the M3 will...
NOTE: Better late than never. Also: Apologies if this has been posted on TMC before (did a search, no dice), but I finally had time and energy to add to the brain trust here at TMC.
...and I figure this is the right sub-category of the TMC forum to post, as this technology will most likely be...
I get the appeal of XM/Sirius. In my current car, I just have HD Radio (and iPhone Ipod adapter). It's not perfect, but much better than standard radio, especially on an upgraded stereo system. :)
Next year...less than 6 months away, LOL. If news could get in by end of December 2016 (if not earlier) that would make it so much easier to plan finances.
Both options have its merits. For M3 reservation holders, do we cross that bridge when we come to it, or get some advance notice on price? I think it also comes down also to both current and future supercharging infrastructure and owner location, both domestic and abroad. I just read an article...
Great thread. Great Post, Jordin. How about future Tesla owners? :)
While were at it, about the option of integrating Waze? I installed both the PlugShare and Waze app on my IPhone. Waze is is great but barely touched the PlugShare app (obviously). I like the updates PlugShare pings me, even...
I get ya. My current car has a front license plate but with a bracket extension. Not bad, as it doesn't look out of place or goofy looking. But like you said, we're talking about about the M3 here. I'm sure TM will address this issue soon. Also: Anybody here at TMC work for the DMV and/or law...
In early June, I visited my local AAA to map out future insurance costs, as to factor in (future estimate total) Model 3 cost of ownership. Based on current vehicle (single driver of 17-year old car, a 2-seater (hint: "affordable" import model whose brand car name ends in "A", LOL), second...
So what's the update on hotel info and event ticket prices? I've always been a master planner, but based on my current schedule, I might have to procrastinate. Anyone staying in a different resort/casino other than the Atlantis?
Apologies if this has been stated before: As the months roll on, and as the production date eventually nears the proverbial finish line, wondering if there will be future gifts. My philosophy: If you don't ask, you'll never necessarily know (or get).
In no particular order: A Tesla gift bag...
I'm not new to online forums, but with TMC at least, I can't seem to find how to "Like" this post, LOL. Also, if the following has been said already, apologies in advance: The Brain Trust at Tesla needs to bring [TMC handle] xkwizit onboard in some capacity down the road (pardon the pun).
