I swapped my 2019 X for a more recent lower mileage 2020 one at Northampton SC a couple of weeks ago after being informed that the S Plaid I ordered on the day they went on sale 2+ years ago would be at least mid-2023 RHD version. Unbelievable! I was previously with Admiral for my S P90D - £1200 - maybe try giving them a call. Sounds like DL aren't giving you any no-claims allowance now whereas maybe in a March they were?

I live 60miles from the nearest SC but the only time I needed help was with a blowout and the SC got a replacement loaner wheel to me in less than an hour. Better service so far than any of the major players I've used in the past.

AP1 is absolutely fantastic on most U.K. A roads - the newer the road, less sharp curves, the better. AP2 is still in the learning stage whereas AP1 had got there. Probably six months or so before we see AP2 reach the same standard imho after having AP2 since Jan. I'm sure it will get there but...

Me neither until I read another post here! Even my SC contact wasn't aware if it! I suggested that it might be a good idea to let new owners know about it since we all benefit from the feedback......... that is, of course, assuming that someone listens to and acts on the feedback!

I read other posts here which suggest that TACC/AP 'false alarms' are whiteboarded when they are reported. Before using the mic 'report' facility I used to email these to my SC where the tech people apparently much appreciated it! Run a search on 'whiteboard' and see if you can find the thread(s).

Whenever you have an unexplained slow down using TACC or AP, such as overhead bridge, sign or gantry you could press the mic button and report the incident direct to Tesla ie say something like "Report - 405 Northbound - 14h30 - TACC - overhead gantry" - you'll see a "Thanks" notification on the...

Also worth checking the signal wth and without the mirrors folded. I get little more than 50% of signal strength when they are set to auto-fold. Guess they aren't omnidirectional!

I believe the aerial is located in the driver's side mirror (rhs side of car here in UK and lhs in the US) - my router is also 35' from the car and I get 54mbs upload and download when the mirror faces the router at the shortest distance to the house. However, if I park the car the opposite way...

Agreed - didn't seem to do much actual powering off with mine either. The functionality seemed to return to the camera, radar etc when the driver assistance features were turned back on - and then only when the auto lights weren't showing as being 'on'.

It must be like seeing rocking horse droppings on AP2. The only cars I ever seem to see in front of mine are always grey and often look like jumping beans. :D

I had the same intermittently until SC sent me 17.11.10 overnight and all is working fine today. Why not message your SC and ask for 17.11.10 asap and try to make sure you have wifi available as much as possible.

Nice one! 17.11.10 seems to have resolved my problems including the historical 'touchscreen unresponsive' :)

You could try the suggestions I made earlier in this thread and power off etc. It seems to have ultimately got mine working. Make sure all driver assistance boxes are 'off' before powering down - also auto headlights switched off. After powering back up switch each driver assistance option back...

It started working again yesterday a.m. and hasn't failed since. I reported the problem to the nearest SC anyway and they asked for a few details, times, dates and then connected and downloaded the car's log. That was yesterday, no word back yet but I've just downloaded 17.11.10 so let's see...

Cheers! Frustrating to say the least and before my latest software problems I received the 'touchscreen unresponsive' message only very occasionally..... yesterday it appeared at least 20 times......i.e. 20 reboots were necessary. I guess these things are sent to try us! :p

Well, it worked fine while it lasted. 50mile motorway trip yesterday and everything worked great, for the return I had to reboot the screen due to 'touchscreen unresponsive ' message and everything has disappeared again. I'll report back what the SC say about the problem. :(

I think perhaps it's a regulatory issue - the release notes only mention using the mobile app - no mention of the fob.

That's a pain - 3G/4G here is an intermittent signal so I make sure when the car is parked it has a great wifi signal from the house.

Whenever there's a new update coming I make sure the car is always connected to wifi overnight with a good signal. 500mb downloads over 3/4G would take quite a while over here. Updates usually arrive within 10 days of their first appearance across the pond. The latest was just a day behind!

Imho it could be simply a glitch in the uploaded software since everything else worked fine and all the other new features were available. The thing that seemed particularly odd to me was the missing mph speed sign - I believe this is related more to gps positioning rather than the radar or...

Over here we don't have summon available via the key fob - it's only possible via the mobile app. I'm fairly certain my S with HW1 worked via the fob and I would have thought it would be the same with HW2 but apparently not!

Thanks for the 'mouse click' tip - mine works fine now. No sign of cameras working here either - perfectly fine before the update now there are no lines shown on the screen and no message to say that the cameras are calibrating. Pretty basic really to give a message indicating what's happening!

Yes, this is correct - the in car navigation is pretty good although I managed to end up in the hotel opposite's car park! It looks as though you are about to rejoin the M1 when you spot the chargers lined up a few yards before. There is a separate entrance which is immediately before the M1 on...

Footpath definitely not recommended for wheelchair users - there's a 12" drop over a kerb from the path to the tarmac and no ramps that air could see. Charging was fast for my X - 372mph Quite tricky to find the chargers - immediately after the fuel station on the RHS just before rejoining the M1.

Used Woodhall Southbound a few days ago very impressive 372mph charging and 8 stalls. Slightly tricky to find - use on screen navigation and the entrance is on the rhs immediately after the fuel station and 50yds before rejoining the M1.

That's true! Only ever happened to me with AP1 - could be 'over the air' updates similar to the live traffic information we receive on the in-car Google navigation. But then why doesn't it happen with AP2? Anyone ever had construction speed restrictions with AP2?

Here in the U.K. I'm fairly certain that both AP1 and AP2 relate speed limits to geo co-ordinates - possibly from Google maps. Personally, I found speed limit detection far better with AP1. Now, with AP2 my X will often travel a couple of hundred yards into a lower speed zone without 'detecting'...

I had the same a week ago multiple times with my X P100D - rebooted a few times but problem repeated. Rebooted both the centre screen and the driver's screen and all back to normal. I informed the SC and they suggest trying 2 back-to-back reboots usually does the trick. No further problems for...

I agree with you - good idea as a stop gap before 5G rolls out here in '2020' with its 20Gb download and 10Gb upload speeds. The last update, 17.9.3, was iro 420Mb which would take just a couple of seconds to download whereas it probably takes an hour or two at present over LTE or 3G - imagine...

I entirely agree with you - just seems strange that it hasn't moved at all since delivery and now it works absolutely perfectly. I haven't opened the trunk (boot) for a week or two nor have I run over any potholes that might have moved something.

It's the opposite for me - this phone/tablet based app is so much more convenient that the in-car screen navigation. You can spend time on various routings as and when you like and synchronise with the in-car navigation instantly. This app also does in seconds a better job than what the in-car...

I downloaded the app from the UK store - maybe it's just not on the Swiss one. No Superchargers shown in Europe though? Just a single destination charger at Hotel Plaza in Andorra! A very nice app! - it finds the European chargers when using the manual input.

Might be worth reporting to the SC anyway and making a note of times etc. as I suggested - they pulled lots of data from mine when I had the problem so maybe they'll see something that's easy to rectify. Good luck! ;)
