To be honest, it's easy to get yourself in trouble with any Tesla. Even the base model accelerates faster than most performance cars. The difference between a P-whatever Tesla and a base Tesla isn't going to help you much... ;)

Yes, I had to call. They said that their scheduling system is not yet integrated with the online system. Maybe in a few months we will be able to schedule service online...

Shiny. I dropped my Model S off for her first/12k mile service. I like this location MUCH better than Decatur. Lots of parking, not cramped, easy to access. They are a little discombobulated at the moment, but were great to deal with.

Based on my email with Tesla about this, I'm not expecting to get mine until early next year. They are still working through the backlog from September of last year. We got our referral delivery in March of this year.

I have service scheduled for my Model S at the service center next Friday. We'll see how it goes.

This was the key question that I posed in a different thread. I'm also doubtful that it's included in the drive unit warranty. But it would be good to get an official answer from Tesla. So far, I haven't gotten a response to the email I sent to Tesla.

My June 2017 delivery Model X had the passenger side DRL fail about 1 month ago (after about 36k miles), whole headlight unit replaced. Service adviser said that they are seeing a lot of them fail, mostly on Model S.

Thanks for the link! Based on this, it sounds like the new parts aren't available yet, so they misled me on yet another thing. But hopefully the new parts really will become available soon and I can get them installed the next time this happens.

As an aside, I found that summon had been set back to "continuous press" after the upgrade. I'm not sure what else might have been changed.

I upgraded from 2018.14.2 to 2018.21.9 over WiFi last night. I can confirm (unsurprisingly) that speed limit sign reading is not present, and the GPS database is no better. I can also confirm that autopilot works MUCH better on country roads! There are several curves that 14.2 would not...

AP2 also doesn't read speed limit signs, and doesn't allow lane changes on surface roads, features that AP1 has had for 3 years now?

I haven't had this problem with mine, but I suppose it's possible. The ultrasonic sensors are said to be very sensitive. It may not be the wrap itself, but could be that the process of installing the wrap did something to the sensor - perhaps the sensor was marginally in spec from the factory...

Running the AC in the summer doesn't drain the battery too badly. It's running the heater in the winter that kills range.

I got the nav update this morning (Georgia). I was upgraded from 10.4 to 14.2 last Friday. I don't see any difference in autopilot, as expected. The navigation routing is MUCH better, especially along smaller roads near my home. And the estimated arrival times are much closer (+/- 2 minutes)...
