Mark, you’re not wrong, especially about a campaign being fruitless and tone-deaf (not to put words in your mouth). However, most of our gripes are about false promises, missed deadlines and horrific communication. Not just slow delivery.

I had the i4 m50. Drove great but tech was crap. Picture trying to do your job (or school, whatever) with a 5-year old computer. It works but gets frustrating. Their cheap hardware and Linux OS were maddening. Here I am… waiting since 1/11.

Took a few days to detox from this thread. Today is Day 1 of my (hopefully) last pre-VIN window. Ordered 1/11, many updates along the way. Current EDD 3/3-17 Wizard behind curtain of Tesla app says they see no reason for further delay and expect it to arrive in that time. We shall see.

Similar. I was 60/40 preference to white. Have dogs (would rarely use my car for that but ya never know) and was mixed on 3-tone interior (black&white plus headliner). If time was equal I’d go with the white but apparently it’s not.

If it says “May” then you’re probably about to be assigned a VIN. They default to the current website date right before VIN allocation.

The only prioritizations they’ve confirmed in the past are location. Both CA along the way and CA last minute (EOQ). You’ll see east coasters prioritized around march 10-20 so they can get their cars by EOQ. For those that haven’t received cars by 3/15-20 and are closer to CA, expect to wait for...

Not accurate. I live in AZ and have flown to CA to pick up a car from Tesla and drove it back. There’s a simple form they fill out for out of state registration. When I got back I had to bring my copy of it to the DMV to register and pay AZ tax (no CA tax was charged).

I have with a 2022 Model S. They’d never admit it but nearly certain “my” car was damaged on transport or prepping for it. They had to scramble and get a new one. Delayed 2 weeks. Worst part is they wouldn’t take away someone else’s slot so I went… not to the back of the line but a ways back...

No other companies can do this with non-US license? Even if they’re significantly more expensive you could switch to progressive a day later and get a refund from the first company.
