    Tow Hitch Question

I'm going to hitchhike on this thread. I currently have a first version Model Y with a factory installed hitch. I just ordered a new one and plan to take delivery next week. My local service guy non-Tesla but sells and works on a lot of them, says he thinks I just can't move the hitch from the...

    Tesla Refreshed S Review

Great review. I got my Yoke S about four months ago. I, too, have become accomplished to the Yoke. If I had a choice, I'd take a wheel, but the visibility of the over-the-wheel dash screen is a definite plush. I don't miss the D-R-P stock. The car gets which direction I want to start going about...

A close call with running out of battery power driving home

I agree on the short interval, but I interpeted it as the extra 5% was negated by the savings lost from the regen from the brakes when the battery went from 100 to 95 not effecting the whole day.

A close call with running out of battery power driving home

Elon says going to 100% isn't any better than 95% because the regen brakes don't work. So the efficiency of the car is diminished losing the benefit of the 100% charge. "It’s not a big deal. Charge to 90% to 95% & you’ll be fine. At 100% state of charge, regen braking doesn’t work, because the...

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

I just sold my 2017 S with unlimited charging. It was outside 9 months of being able to transfer the free supercharging. The number of inquiries wanting to know if the supercharging transfers would disagree with your #1. The well informed user on this forum may realize it's a small token, most...

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

Surprised at the 7 nah and 3 yea votes. Wondering how many of the 7 nah's are model 3 and Y owners. Not sure why an S owner wouldn't want to add 'value' to their $100,000 purchase.

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

Today Tesla is way of ahead of the competition. Emphasis on today. It would boost sales of S‘s and X’s. And what’s wrong with good will? :):)

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

The warranty is a artificial limit. So they don’t have to pay forever. And a motivation to buy a new one. Which is the reason for the ”feature”: sales.

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

I realize Tesla currently doesn’t need any “boosts” in sales or marketing; they’re doing just fine. (Ever see a Tesla ad on TV?) But, in business you should never stop looking behind you because others can zoom past you. Also, in my opinion, Tesla’s best simple feature is it’s supercharging...

    Poll on V11 interface

"Window defroster is a critical safety feature just like the wipers are. You may need it really, really fast when you really can't go surfing the menus." I agree with this 100%. Just this AM I had to pull over to find the defrosters and the difference in the icon doesn't make it easy to tell...

    Poll on V11 interface

I can't seem to find the the "display chargers" icon on the map (If I remember right the little lightening bolt icon in the trio of icons on the map). In the old version you could display all the 3 levels of chargers on the map. It was a great help to decide if I was going to stop at the next...

    2021 Model S Power Down - 12V Battery?

Hopped into my latest model S (yoke steering wheel), with 768 miles on it last night. The left screen had big red letters "PULL OVER SAFELY - vehicle is preparing to shut down." This is with a 79% main battery charge. It had been sitting all day in 30-40 degree weather if that makes a...

Supercharger - Jim Thorpe, PA - Hickory Run Service Plaza

Drove by yesterday. Still not live. Someone has to explain to me the location choice here. It's on a toll road that doesn't allow turnarounds so if I'm coming across 80 and need a charge. Tesla repair service is IMPROVING

Tesla service is getting their sh-- together. I've had my my 'S' since 2017. I wacked an animal within it a week after I bought the car. Service/repair left quite a bit to be desired. It was almost a year long saga of disappointment. I've had the car in for two minor items within the past...

Can't remove rear facing jump seat bolts

I’ve read that to remove the rear facing seats in a model S it’s a matter of removing two bolts and lifting out the seats. Telsa S rear facing seats

I purchased a slightly used 2017 Model S which had everything I wanted and then some. The then some was the rear facing seats. I would have preferred the extra storage space than the seats, so I had them taken out by a local shop. (Tesla wouldn’t do it). So they’re for sale. $1500 Pickup in...

    Repair time - 6 months!??!

Actually, the front driver suspension column needed to be replaced. But according to Tesla that part was received by the shop in about 2 weeks. Repair time - 6 months!??!

Now coming up on the 7-month mark. Probably the most frustrating thing about this is the attitude on all sides: "Yep, 7 months to fix the car what did you expect?" This is the type of response from Tesla when you ask them to help move along their "approved body shop": "The vehicle is being...
