FS: TSportline Matte Black 19” TST with Pirelli P-Zero A/S Plus

No way for anyone here to tell unless seeing them in person. Looks like maybe improper lugs were used or perhaps improper tightening. There are a lot of these wheels on the road and I have not heard of failures, defects, or bending. I haven’t gone looking for this sort of thing since buying the...

FS: TSportline Matte Black 19” TST with Pirelli P-Zero A/S Plus

I sold my Model S so these are now for sale. Only 5 months old. Tires are 7/32 per SC last week. Includes balanced wheels (non-staggered), tires, TPMS, and TSportline center caps. There is a scratch (see pic) on one of the wheels (thanks tires store) and all others are flawless. The set is...

Model S reaching 4 years old or 50 000 miles

The generation one pano roof is another known issue according my service tech. They’ve “cleaned and lubed” mine 3x now and it’s working okay right now but I know it’s only a month or two before it shudders badly and has to be addressed again. The fix is to retrofit the generation two roof but...

Model S reaching 4 years old or 50 000 miles

Think it depends on your specific car. Tesla quality and reliability from car to car seems to vary dramatically. My 2014 P85 with only 38k miles has been at the SC several times over the last several months (leaking tail lamps, tailgate filling with water when it rains, MCU failure, pano roof...

MCU fails for the second time

Mine began getting a frequent ‘loading error’ while streaming audio and began freezing frequently. One week after the new MCU my audio froze on 8. I tried everything but ultimately had to reboot. At times I really do feel like a Tesla beta tester. New drive unit next week so hopefully that’s...

Buyer beware. Buying a CPO Tesla feels like a SCAM.

I previously had no idea CPO cars were used as loaners until they sold. I guess this explains the CPO paperwork in the glovebox of the P85D loaner I had last week when my car was in for a new MCU. The paint felt like fine sand paper and was in such bad condition I figured they couldn’t sell...

MCU fails for the second time

I’ve just about had enough. My warranty expires in Oct and just about every day I get in the car I wonder what’s going to break next. There comes a time when you’ve just had enough and I’m very close right now. But, there really aren’t any alternatives. I drove the BMW 530e M-Sport susp car...

Lowered standard Suspension Model S review

Was just looking these guys up to install my lowering springs and it appears they’ve closed the doors permanently. Anyone have any other recommendations for Orange County?

MCU fails for the second time

Just picked my October 2014 production up after MCU replacement. Still 3g. Part number ends -00-L. ‘Part: MCU NA PREMIUM - Pre Audio GPS new maps’. No idea if this is a new version or remanufactured.?. While there they diagnosed I need a new drive unit. Car has been in for service 8x over...

Nice catch. That should be noted in the YouTube comments section.

Top Gear: Chris Harris tests the P100D

The SAS is overwhelmed on a fast bumpy 2 lane road where I guess traditional coils would be better and the usual Tesla complaints but he admits he's impressed.

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

yobigd20- are you on air or dropped on coils? Looks really nice and clean.

Depends on the state. In CA, yes.

    T Sportline vs. Axis wheels

Agree on the T Sportline wheels at $2k. Ridiculously overpriced. Did you go with the 21s? I contacted Axis about 20” turbines in gunmetal and they said they have no plans to produce them.

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

Congrats on the 100D! I’d be interested in option 3 as well but have no idea the cost associated with this. I think Unplugged Performance may be working on something for Model S.

GROUP BUY: T Sportline Lowering Springs

Yes, they are compatible with the S 60kWh cars. Exchanged emails with T Sportline. Jon at T Sportline said "D springs are a totally different setup and weight distribution."

GROUP BUY: T Sportline Lowering Springs

I'd rather not speculate. Only #TSportline can confirm so maybe they'll respond here. Otherwise I'd give them a call (866) 991-4776 to check.

GROUP BUY: T Sportline Lowering Springs

I've heard installation cost as low as $250 from one TMC member but I suspect this isn't realistic for most. I'd call local shops for quotes. Don't know about warranty other than I guess it's possible Tesla may not cover a strut failure should one occur.

    Sanity check: Going from 75D Ap2 to 90D Ap1?

Sounds like you made your decision but if the $6k plus the tax on $107k doesn’t sting too much then I’d get what floats your boat. I find smart air more comfortable for highway stretches so that could also be a bonus.

GROUP BUY: T Sportline Lowering Springs

T Sportline discontinued inventory of the Model S lowering springs for coil cars due to a lack of demand. I exchanged emails with Jon at T Sportline and they will order another run of the springs if we can come up with an order for 8 sets. So, if you have coils and would like to lower your ride...

GROUP BUY - TSportline Model S Lowering Springs

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

I exchanged emails with Jon at Tsportline this afternoon. They may not have had enough demand for the Model S lowering springs to inventory them BUT Jon is willing to reorder them for a group buy if we can come up with 8 individuals who would like a set of springs. The springs lower the car...

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

I'm coming to this conclusion. At this point I would be happy with a 1" drop so it doesn't look like I'm getting ready for the Rubicon trail.

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

None that I've found so far. I'm going to call Tsportline again today. Maybe there's a magic number in a group buy scenario where they would place another order for the lowering coils. Or, maybe they'll share their supplier with me so we could attempt to go direct if they're not interested in...

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

I've seriously considered selling and replacing it with a car with SAS. While my P85 was in for service last week I was given a 75D loaner with SAS and found the handling a bit disconnected but the loaner was vastly more comfortable cruising down the freeway. I guess that was probably a...

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

I’ve checked with Bilstein, Eibach, H&R, Koni, KW, Ohlins, Tein...you name it, and can’t find anyone making coilovers for Tesla. Frustrating.

    Insurance Company for Tesla Owners

I’ve priced my P85 with several insurance companies but at the end of the day State Farm is within a couple hundred a year of the cheapest option for me since I bundle the auto with my home, umbrella, and earthquake. If it were just Auto as a stand-alone State Farm was much more expensive.

MS with coils: Another thread in search of a solution...

Hi everyone. Before I get started I thought I'd state that I've worn out the search feature looking for solutions to improve the standard coil suspension. Perhaps there still are none... I thought I found a compromise when I called Tsportline this afternoon to order a set of their lowering...

Ideas to improve seat and suspension comfort for California's crap freeways

Did you ever find someone to customize a suspension setup for you? My other car is a 2016 535i M-sport and if I could find a solution to duplicate the BMW ride/handling compromise I'd be a very happy man.
