    2022 MX Plaid Red - 6 seater - Cream - FSD - 8k miles Xpel Stealth - 20" Wheels

A local dealer offered me a slightly higher price and their offer is good for a week. If you're willing to come up a bit from that, maybe we could make a deal?

    2022 MX Plaid Red - 6 seater - Cream - FSD - 8k miles Xpel Stealth - 20" Wheels

Up for sale is my Red 2022 MX Plaid, 6 seat cream interior, 20" wheels and FSD. I currently have just over 8k miles on the car. The car had Xpel stealth installed the day after I picked it up. There is a small rock chip I had repaired/sealed with resin in the windshield on the passenger side...

Ordered a Tesla X Plaid 5 seat last year

My plaid X charges to 300 miles (90%) every day just like every other Tesla I've owned. I've never experienced any more or less battery degradation than anyone else.

Plaid X Vibration at beginning of each drive: Who is experiencing this?

Feb delivery 2022 X Plaid here I've experienced this, but narrowed it down to my suspension being in the midst of lowering when it happens. My driveway is a little steep, so I set my suspension to extra high to lower the risk of scraping something. If I pull down my driveway and start driving...

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

I'd recommend waiting until you have a VIN and a firm delivery date. Financing only takes a day or two.

Plaid 5 and 7 seat option removed

There was some news awhile back that the 20 inch wheels for the X were being delayed. Not sure if that's still the case or not.

Plaid 5 and 7 seat option removed

I'm fairly certain we'll be asked to change our orders in the coming weeks. I'm waiting to see if they try to force the $5500 (for the 22 inch wheels) + $6500 (5-seat -> 6-seat) on to my configuration before I cancel. I know I can't justify paying $12k more for a configuration I don't want.

Any 99 Safety Scores receive FSD Beta yet?

I'm not sure that anyone has received the 10.3 update yet. I have 10.2 and have not yet received it. If you didn't get it yet, don't despair.
  10. J

Tesla’s FSD Beta 10.3 Coming This Friday 10-22-2021

Maybe the update has been delayed? I have FSD 10.2. I didn't get 10.3 yet and maybe you guys will get it when it's actually released.
  11. J

New button to enable FSD Beta download?

Well, autopilot is technically still "Beta" and FSD is just autopilot that does more stuff. I think it would make sense to click "ok" to a few more warnings, but you still are required to hold the steering wheel and pay (probably more) attention at all times.

    Sleeping at super chargers?

I'd recommend against that. Superchargers are more like a gas station where you fill up your tank and leave. Sitting at a supercharger for 4+ hours would not only cost you a lot in idle charges after your car completes charging, but you might get some angry people knocking on your window who are...

Uneven Re-gen Braking Feel on P3D+

I'm coming from a 2017 model S here (just purchased a new Model 3 performance), but I've owned a BMW Mini-E, BMW ActiveE, BMW i3. I think the last bit of unpredictable regen you're referring to might be coming from one of the settings. I'm sure someone else will chime in here with the exact name...

Windshield, OEM or Aftermarket. Progressive Ins denied OEM.

I just had my windshield replaced a few months ago by Tesla. I have StateFarm and they said their policy is to use aftermarket glass, but they couldn't find anyone who makes aftermarket glass for the Model S, so they paid the $1400 Tesla charged to replace my windshield.

    2019.36.1 and Single pedal braking.

Hmm, this post 2019.36.1: Stopping Mode says it's for *PRE*-raven and model 3 only. I suppose we'll get confirmation one way or the other in the next few days.

Tesla West LA service feels like a shady used car dealer - very disappointed!

A warranty will state what *is* covered. Anything you don't see in there is *not* covered.

Yellow screen? Force Tesla to Replace it!

Obviously I can't speak for everyone here, but I've had my share of issues with my 2017 Model S and Tesla always offered a solution. What you see in these threads online is only the "bad". The service will certainly get better over time. However, I think the lack of proper communication from...

Yellow screen? Force Tesla to Replace it!

Last year they were replacing screens. They now have a tool that properly sets the adhesive so the yellow won't come back.

Should Tesla be worried about the Taycan?

What I don't like: - No one pedal driving. The Taycan employs regen similar to the Prius. When you release the accelerator, it just coasts. To use regen you have to hit the brake pedal lightly. More pressure on the pedal will use the hydraulic brakes. - ~230mile range :( - As the previous...

2019.20.4 brought my 90% charge from 297 to 301 miles

I have a 2017 100D with 28k miles. It charged to 301-302 miles from new, but recently I was down to 296 or 297 depending on the day, which I attributed to normal degradation. After updating to 2019.20.4.2, I'm back up to 301. I wonder if this has something to do with the battery update related...

    Another Sudden Acceleration

I leased a BMW i3 for a couple years before I purchased my S and every time I went over a bump while slowing down, it would lose regenerative braking and it did indeed feel like it was accelerating. I had to be careful in certain spots. If anyone in the NJ area is familiar with the eastbound...

Sudden improvements in speed zone data and navigation

Noticed the same thing in my car (2017 100D) with that software. There's still one road that's annoyingly still wrong, but most of the others seem to have been corrected.

    2019.12.1 update

Buying out a leased S, does 4 year warranty come with it?

As the previous post said, Tesla has nothing to do with it. The leasing company (bank) owns the car, so there's no obligation on Tesla one way or the other.
  27. J

    I changed my mind

Autopilot doesn't actually need the lines to navigate. There are a few roads in my area where the lines go away and autopilot continues to navigate just fine. I think the fact that it won't engage without lines is just for safety. Can't argue with your other points though.

    Precondition Battery

It's been getting down to the 40's (F) up here in PA at night and if I drive to work in the morning without preconditioning, I have reduced regen and increased energy usage, double whammy. So, even in above zero temps it can be helpful. I don't blame you for not noticing this in your location...

    Loss of LTE connectivity

I had this happen a few times after updates. When you reboot the MCU, it can sometimes take 10-15min for the LTE service to be restored. If this isn't the case, perhaps try the wheels and brake pedal when you reboot? (full reboot)

    CPO Deposit Refund?

This forum is unfortunately full of whiners who *love* nothing more than to complain to everyone about how terrible Tesla is and how Elon has deceived them. But guess what? They still have their cars. And if there's one thing I learned from my highschool and college years of customer service...

Seemingly big uptake in Vampire drain.

My climate control got *stuck* on one time somehow and caused more drain than normal. Maybe something similar is happening to you? A full reboot fixed it... maybe just try a reboot and see if that does it?

    Tesla Hate Crimes

Yeah, here in PA there's been a few times where some back-country folk had been questioning me about my car and ended with something like "Yeah, it's nice and all, but I only buy American". I think if you know your audience and choose your words carefully, a good chunk of the time you can end...

Full Self-Driving - feels like a long way off to me...

Although autopilot won't engage on a road with no lines, it does actually work without them. I think these cars are capable of a lot more now than you think. The current Teslas may or may not be *completely* driver-less in the near future but the current hardware is certainly capable of level 3...

Returning a Lease Car with Accident Damage

Checks from the insurance company for damages can be made payable to a repair shop *or* the owner(s) of the car. Tesla may be able to just take the check directly from the insurance company for the repair estimate in lieu of you getting it fixed.

    Model S Air Conditioning Vibration

My 2017 S100 does that when it first starts up, but then seems to quiet down after running for 3 or 4 minutes. I'm assuming yours does the vibration thing constantly?

wow tesla really sucks on getting parts!!

I think this will be something that will slowly get better over the next couple years as production increases. I leased some limited production cars from BMW and if you think Tesla is bad with getting parts..... It took BMW 7 months to get parts, then another 4-5 weeks to make the repair after a...

New logic for “Hold Steering Wheel” nags in 2018.21.9

I think it's always been distance based (somewhat). I know if I'm sitting in stop and go traffic inching along it doesn't happen nearly as often. It could be something like 0.62 miles or x seconds, whichever comes first.

40 min Supercharge took over 2 hours...

Man, talk about a misleading title for a post... If you have the app set up, it can be configured to send you notifications when your car is close to being done and completely done supercharging.

    Factory Approved Towing Model S

There are too many expensive things that could go wrong on these cars to risk invalidating your warranty with an aftermarket receiver/wiring. If you need to tow and value your warranty, get a model X or a truck as a second vehicle.

Model S 75D Long Trip Questions

It depends if you "just want to get there" or if you're looking to take your time and enjoy the trip. Charging a bit longer at one stop will mean you'll need to charge less at the next one. I don't think there's any other benefit or downside to charging longer or shorter. There's lots of road...

Did your Tesla come with a J1772 adapter or did you have to buy one?

It should come in a bag in the under part of your trunk with your home charging adapter.. that's where mine was anyway. It does come with the car, so if you can't find it,I'd call your service center.

    Model S winter tire experiences

I had Sottozeros on my Golf R. In short, I think the best takeaway is this: The performance winter tires are definitely better than any all season tires, but certainly not as good as actual winter tires. On an AWD vehicle in the PA/NY/NJ area where I live, I think they're fine for all but the...
