    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

It seems to be working normally for me now - after not working at all immediately after installation (and reboot).

    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

I noticed the same thing. Auto wipers went from not working at all to working normally the following day. I tried a reboot after I first noticed the problem and it made no difference. I have no idea what could be changing after a day's rest.

    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

Same problem here. Just upgraded from 11.4.4 to 11.4.7 (2023.7.30) and auto wipers don't work at all. Worked fine in previous releases. Wipers work normally in all other modes. 2022 Model S with HW3. Definitely a new problem just introduced.

OT: ‘Pibot’ Better Than Human Pilots Say Researchers “Pibot is a humanoid robot that can fly an [airplane] just like a human pilot by manipulating all the single controls in the cockpit, which is designed for humans,” David Shim, an associate professor of electrical engineering at KAIST, told...

    GPS Stuck at Previous Location

Thanks for the info. I don't think we were ever stopped for 15 continuous minutes after leaving the ferry so that might have been sufficient to correct the problem. If/when it happens again we'll try that. Still, it would be helpful to add the GPS reset to the scroll wheel boot. A few minutes...

    GPS Stuck at Previous Location

I'm sure that's what caused the problem. But several hours after exiting the ferry it was still not working. Whatever happens that resets the GPS when changing tire size (I NEVER would have thought to do that!) should be included in the scroll wheel re-boot. It's the first thing we all try when...

    GPS Stuck at Previous Location

We just had a similar problem in our 2019 Model S. Getting on a ferry in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia the GPS was working perfectly. Exiting the ferry 3 hours later in Bar Harbor, Maine the GPS was no longer working. The scroll wheel reboot and power off reboot had no effect. But changing the wheel...

    FSD discussion

Despite the significant improvements in FSD up to and including 11.4.2 there are 2 problems that never seem to get corrected. 1) I live in a gated community and the "gate" is a single pole that lowers much like on a railroad crossing. FSD never reacts to the gate in any way at all. There is no...

Model S LR Refresh 2022 rattling noise from dashboard

I had a rattle on a new Model S that sounded like it was coming from directly behind the center screen - and it was. Service said it was a known problem with the bevel that holds the screen in place and was a simple adjustment. Whatever they did to tighten it down completely corrected the problem.

Model S LR Refresh 2022 rattling noise from dashboard

I have the same issue which also disappears when the rear seats lay flat but still can't figure out the exact source. If you identify it please report back!

Refreshed Model S energy screen - thought it was removed but found a way to access it easier than before

I'm not aware of this problem so I either don't have it or I haven't done whatever it takes to cause it.

Refreshed Model S energy screen - thought it was removed but found a way to access it easier than before

I just installed 2022.36.1 in my 2022 refresh Model S and I can confirm that it DOES contain the new energy app. It also includes the Karaoke app.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We are about 80 miles north of you, also about 20 miles from the Gulf and also at about 30 ft elevation. This was the first major test of our Tesla solar that's now several years old and it did beautifully. Several neighbors with roof-mounted solar pool heaters had panels ripped off during the...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

FPL loves to promote solar energy as long as they're the one's producing it and selling it to their customers. They do everything possible to discourage their customers from installing their own solar. My Tesla solar was installed 4 years ago and used to power my home and Model S with only a...

Legacy Model S/X with camera upgrade got FSD?

Does anyone know how many cars needed the camera upgrade, how many have already been done, and what the rate of new upgrade invitations is? SC can't/won't do anything until after an invitation has been issued and nobody seems to know how long this is supposed to take. I have a 2017 Model S...

I have not received an update to Tesla maps since 2020

The I-75 SR70 interchange is a disaster in both directions of I75 (but mostly southbound). Nav wants to exit I75 onto SR70 and then re-enter, all while slowing speed from 70 to 30 MPH. Since I live nearby and travel this route often I have learned to disengage when approaching this area. But...

I have not received an update to Tesla maps since 2020

Service assures me we have the latest nav data update. I have no idea why there haven't been any updates in more than a year. There have been many road changes here is southwest Florida and the car nav data is badly out of date causing many navigation errors. They need to fix this!

I thought it couldn't get any better when I took delivery of My Model S and I got to drive the best, most exciting, car in the world. Any of you have 100/99 scores still not get any FSD till today?

I also have a 2017 MS with AP 3.0 and MCU2 upgrades. Also no FSD despite 99 score. Tesla has decided we need to upgrade our cameras before we can use FSD and they will do it for free. But service advises they can't schedule this until an official procedure is created. Specifically: "This camera...

Yes. Same thing happened to me after installing 2020.44.15. I went to my Tesla account (on home computer) and when clicking on "manage solar panels" discovered I needed to log in again. After doing that, the Tesla Account page returned to normal on the home computer, and solar began working...

HW3 upgrade waiting room: All FSD Tesla’s

I have made several inquiries to our SC in the last few months about getting this upgrade done. I just received a call from our local SC that they have ordered the parts they need to upgrade our 2017 MS 75 AP2.0, MCU1 to AP3.0, MCU2. They expect to have the parts within a week and will then call back to schedule installation.

    Software Update 2019.12.x

I don't know when exactly this started happening but it's definitely a problem with 12.1.2. Most (but not all) of the time when backing into a parking space, the car's heading becomes reversed. It displays the reciprocal heading on the car's map and also on the remote app's location page. When...

    2018.26 3bbd9fd .-

I just test drove my AP2 Model S after this update and AS lane centering seems to be much more sensitive. This is especially noticeable on the interstate at faster speeds where you can feel the side motion of the car as it constantly makes small corrections to keep the car exactly centered in...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

First test drive this morning. Driving in the left lane of a divided road with occasional cross streets AP would start to swerve toward the median at the far end of an intersection; then it would correct itself and immediately swerve back where it belonged (just as I was about to take over)...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I disagree. The audible indicator is necessary to alert the driver that the AP is no longer controlling the car. You are assuming that it will only happen when the driver disengages it, but it can happen for a variety of different reasons, including a malfunction. It's possible your hands are...

    AP2 self parking

Same for me with HW2. Almost always shows a P when stopped at a traffic light with a solid row of cars next to me. Never in a parking lot with perfectly good real parking spaces. 2017.50.2 software. No changes noticed with any of the recent upgrades.

    LTE Throttling since 11/3/17

I agree completely that this is not a signal strength problem. The reason I always check it is that it's always the first excuse offered as to why there is skipping and buffering. While it's obviously true that if the signal really was weak enough, at some point that would cause this problem, a...

    LTE Throttling since 11/3/17

No change for me either on 50.2. It makes no difference what the signal strength is. I've seen 35KBPS with 4 bars and 1MBPS with 1 bar. Way too slow for any data sensitive applications to work properly. I can't believe they've allowed this problem to go on for months.
