    Could this be a Scam?

Google reviews for Current Automotive Naperville, IL are all good. However, that doesn't mean it's not a scam. I believe the orange 2.5 on their website was purchased from a forum member … at least there was an orange 2.5 from WA for sale several months ago.

    Error codes: 104 1144 922 923

Fan works when plugged into external power. I'm guessing the PEM connectors but since I was planning on having the PEM rebuilt by Gruber, I'll let them fix it when they rebuild the PEM.

    Error codes: 104 1144 922 923

Thanks for the feedback. The overtemp errors were clearly because the fan wasn't blowing. As to why it wasn't blowing, I agree with XLR8: probably due to the PEM/fan plug. I'll test the fan on Friday when I have time to eliminate that. Unfortunately, I don't think I can pull the PEM myself to...

    Error codes: 104 1144 922 923

My roadster is down now. From the logs: yesterday I received a 104, followed by two 1144 errors. I've been having random 1144 errors ever since the annual service last summer. Today, driving to work, it threw the 104, followed by 1144 and then 922. It powered down and I left it for a couple...

    2.0 / 2.5 Roadster / Roadster Sport Tire Thread

ExtremeContact DWS06 are all-season tires (Dry, Wet, Snow). When the 'S' wears down, they become DW (Dry, Wet). Definitely not a summer tire.

Yes, I also think it will be interesting. I'll pull the logs but it may have to wait until late April.

DMC fan failed, car stopped, flatbed to service...

interesting, I was getting 1144 errors when it was hot (above 95F). When I took it into the SC (July), they said they needed to replace the PEM fan but had to order one. They said they couldn't order one from a different supplier or ebay although the 2.0 fan is certainly available. They never...

    Alert #1146 Returns! {sigh}

    This is awesome! Is there somewhere to look up the Failure Type? How does the volt/amp get converted to the decimal values? In my case, I get the following: 0x00028029: 07/09/2018 10:20:39 | 1531153239 | ERR | 03 02 17 17 3F 00 5B438B57 | 08 00 76 00 7A 04 06 00 00 C1 67 10 0E 01 CA error...

    2010 Tesla Roadster Fan Running

I've found that charging cools the battery down enough to stop the circ-pump. I live in 95+ summer weather (Utah). Without the charging cooling, the roadster circ-pump runs like my hot-tub circ-pump = always on :-)

    Working under car

Once raised with the jack on the jack-point, I don't see where to place the jack-stand since the jack occupies the safe jack-point. Can you clarify?

I don’t have a lift and don’t want to work under a car on floor jacks. What do folks do to access the underside?

Hello from a total Roadster newbie (but not roadster newbie) & fundamental questions

Re: transferring owner's name. This is for Tesla service records. They link information about the owner: cell phone, address, etc so that when the car is in for service, they can contact you. I bought mine on Jan 30 and the local service center put in the owner change but it still hasn't gone...

    Broken Roadster Key Fob

I can send a copy of the receipt if that helps your service center with quotes or pricing..... As for the cost of programming, I suspect some service centers may have a minimum charge, Utah does not. In any case, it was expensive but having a spare key to use makes me sleep easier....

    Broken Roadster Key Fob

I just had to face the fob issue with my roadster as it only had one key. Two fobs were $200 from the SC. Adding them to the existing key (programming) was $30. Adding a blank and having it cut solved the one-key problem. So, if someone wants a new fob, it's possible to team up to purchase 2...

    replace key and fob

To close the loop on this: the SC ordered two fobs for $200. It was $30 to program them. The blank was $30 and I had it cut for $5.

would you have Tesla parts number(s)? My SC can't seem to find it in current inventory.

    replace key and fob

My roadster only came with one key. The SC doesn't seem to be able to find the proper replacement. Any ideas about replacing the FOB or is Tesla the only option? Cutting the key is easy, I'm not sure about programming the IMMO....

    Another new owner

Upgraded battery at 20k miles, just the soft-top which is fine for me. This will primarily be a spring/summer/fall car ... though Utah this winter is like spring so I get to drive it :-)

    Another new owner

I picked up my 2010 roadster last week. 3.0 battery, new tires, CAN JR & SR, three charging options, only 23128 miles. Seems well equipped to me ... at least I'm happy.
