    Yoke peeling

My 1-year old Model S Plaid has the exact same problem - exact same spot on the yolk (lower left). Mobile service is coming. Picture attached. It is a very wierd place, as that is not a place I normally hold the wheel.

    No improvement in 44.25.6 driving

I was just admitted to the FSD program yesterday after about a 5-month wait, with my new model S plaid with FSD. I have version 44.25.6. I tried it today for the first time and, of course, was scared to death. One example: I executed a left turn off an expressway at the stop light with a...

Has anyone with a Plaid Reservation Received a VIN?

They jerked around the dates mercilessly, and at one point, I had a delivery date and hour on June 28 - but it didn't happen. Then they said June 30, and I couldn't get any further information about if or when it would be delivered. We came back from dinner and the locked car was on our...

Has anyone with a Plaid Reservation Received a VIN?

Yes. I got a call to ask if I would switch to wood panel as carbon fiber was delayed. I did and got the car yesterday. You still get the carbon fiber spoiler!

Did anyone get their Plaid+ switched to Plaid...

Yes, they gave me the $10K discount on my new Plaid (but still $141K isn't exactly a "bargain")

Did anyone get their Plaid+ switched to Plaid...

I was switched, but they asked first, and my Plaid arrived yesterday. Quite a car.

    Light touch, Autopilot nags

Bottom line is everyone in this chain knows that Tesla's autopilot hands-on-wheel sensor is flawed - because it doesn't detect whether our hands are on the wheel, but only whether the driver is applying reverse torque pressure. So, God forbid, you are in court after an accident, and charged...

Hold Steering Wheel every 20-25 seconds?

I fully agree with Marshallo's comments. Having made this mess without telling customers, Tesla should be more forthcoming with its plans to correct a major goof. Whose bright idea was it to make autopilot almost unusable when we all forked out at least $3K for it???

    Updated autopilot sucks!

Thanks. I smoke-tested my new information this morning, and it worked! As the Tesla Tech recommended, I softly rested both arms on the wheel at the 3 o'clock and 9'clock positions, with my thumbs around the cross bar. I made two trips of about 10 miles each in Autopilot without a warning - the...

    Updated autopilot sucks!

Totally agree. I talked to Tesla yesterday and the customer service person told me something I didn't know: the system doesn't ever detect the strength of your grip on the wheel. That is why squeezing so hard you get blisters doesn't help a bit. The sensor is in the steering column, and it...

Model X Crash on US-101 (Mountain View, CA)

I drive that flyover in autopilot in my X all the time going from 101 to 85. I keep my speed set at 60, no more, and it works fine. Any faster gets a bit scary.

    GPS Fence for Trunk height

I can't close my garage door when the trunk is open!! I don't understand what you are suggesting in the middle paragraph. What do the FWD doors have to do with the trunk? Thanks. R

    GPS Fence for Trunk height

I am unable to adjust my trunk height in my garage. I too have scars on my forehead from the trunk edge. Supposedly, you can reset the GPS fence by manually raising the trunk above the sensed level (there is plenty of room), and then pushing and holding the trunk close button until it beeps...
