    Eastern Canada Superchargers

Drove by Morrison and Dorchester in Niagara Falls today and it looks like (can't confirm) that there are a bunch of chargers going in. They are all covered up and no Tesla signage - but the spacing and size looks like Tesla. The Mt. Carmel ones were "limited access today", and it looks like...

    QEW HOV

I recently upgraded my 2018 LR RWD to HW3 courtesy of a 3 year hold of Tesla Stock and I'm wondering about others experience with the HOV lanes on the QEW and navigate on autopilot. It seems to want to move to the right out of the HOV lanes every once and a while. Up until now I've been using...

should I prepare and buy snow chain for model3 SR+ rwd heavy snow drive in GTA?

I've had similar experiences as you. I'm not discounting others who say there are no issues, but in my experience it can be dicey.... I've found it helpful to change the stopping mode to creep when in snow. Creep mode and slip start has got me out of most situations - but in heavy wet...

Do you get loaner car when dropping off car for service at Toronto Lawrence service location?

My experience lately at Lawrence is that they send you a txt message the night before with the stall number of the loaner you can use (with Plate etc) - and info. on how to fill in the loaner paperwork. A very straightforward process.

    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

Rolled in yesterday with about 35km on my long rage... some interesting observations. The unit M109 used seemed to sit at 127kw for me - so I moved after 2-3 minutes. I moved over a couple to the one in the corner and only got 51kw. Then drove into the one by the road (the drive in one) - and...

As a follow up - yes Kal Tire is doing swaps so I'm booked for tomorrow. For those of you in Toronto, they now have a location at Coxwell and Gerrard. Much better than rolling out to Scarborough.

    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

Charging this afternoon. Starting at 243km (LR AWD) after a 120km drive so battery is/should be conditioned - getting about 68kW. Was expecting better throughput but still great to have one here.

    Winter Tire Swap

Can anyone recommend a trusted place to get winter tires swapped out in Toronto / East End- Beaches? I was going to have Tesla do it along with my caliber service, but they're telling me they won't do the swap (which is weird since the summers are on their own rims and they gotta take the...

The meter was not installed yesterday when I was there. But he was definitely a Tesla guy (jacket and hat). Only 1 of them which tells me there's no energy in them yet (i'm pretty sure they'd need to be working in pairs if dealing with high voltage???). Will be back there next Tuesday for my...

Used 2018 Model 3 LR RWD Depreciation

I don't want to redirect this thread/conversation... but I didn't buy FSD when I got my Model 3 RWD in June of 2018. Now looking forward a few more years - I wonder how many people might just upgrade to FSD in order to get the new HW3 (and all the new features that will inevitably come with it...

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

Lawrence has these in stock now. Just picked them up. I should have read this tutorial before saying I’d do it myself. I may just hold onto them until spring and have them installed with a caliber/brake service when flipping to the summer tires.

Pearson Int. Long Term Parking 120v Plugs

It’s just one on a pillar at that location. But I’m guessing there must be more sprinkled around. Keep an eye out for a conduit coming down the column. This one seems to have a twist lock plug that goes to a 15 receptacle But if we can get a list going - that would be great

Pearson Int. Long Term Parking 120v Plugs

Wondering if anyone has a list of parking spots in T1 Long Term that have 120v plugs. I've parked on Level 6 at D39 with a plug. Anyone else care to share a spot you've used? Would be great to have a list. It's great for a weekend trip.

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

Once I got 24.4 I had the "too slow" message and replaced it with screaming fast drive. But the issue I am still having is that the drive is not recognized at all (ie: the dashcam icon doesn't even show) when I start up the car. I have also noticed that on some occasions my nomad wireless...

Let's talk winter tires for the 3

I had the X-Ice - in Toronto (Beaches). I didn't feel like they were performing very well (LR RWD) - especially in my area of town on the inclines. I swapped to the R3's and really didn't feel they were any louder - but the performance in deep / packed icy snow felt much better than the...

Passenger restraint system fault - Tesla replacing seat?

Had the Tesla Ranger come out today to deal with this problem on my Model 3 (vin 28xxx). He said the first step is to put a filter in line on the wiring harness to the seat. Apparently they have seen noise on the harness which has triggered this error. He put the filter in line - and all seems...

Annoying rattle from rear of Tesla resolved.

I'm bumping this again for feedback on my rattle. It's similar to above - A clicking/tap type rattle going over bumps etc...... I tried connecting latching all the rear seat belts - and still the rattle. I tried wrapping the rear seat latches with a bit of cloth and then folding the rear...

    Toronto - Fairview Mall Superchargers

    Another winter tire thread.

I was really surprised with how quiet they were for winter tires (the Ice-X), having come from the nokian (actually had Nokian WR's (i think) - the all season winter rated).

    Another winter tire thread.

Thanks for the great reply. Checking the plowto page we haven't seen a salter or plow in 12 hours so maybe a salt or plow would have made a difference. It's a 6% grade over 200m. My biggest frustration is seeing others with these tires saying they're performing well.

    Another winter tire thread.

Got the tires in November... so brand new. The errors came after about 10 minutes of trying to get up the hill. A combination of chill mode/slipstart/ slow and steady/foot down "why aren't I going anywhere"/"i know there are 5 of you behind me who want to get up the hill... but I'm stuck"...

    Another winter tire thread.

yeah - we're on a big hill. So usually out front of our place is the make-it or break-it mark.... it's taking a lot of victims tonight.... but I'm amazed there isn't any sort of grip with them - especially since others are raving about them. Tesla told me that it will throw those types of...

    Another winter tire thread.

Given the onslaught of Snowmageddon in the GTA area.. I'm just throwing in my 2 cents that X-Ice snow tires are terrible. Picked them up in November - and this is probably the second fairly big snow storm in the East End. First time I thought it was an anomaly. But I just spent 15 minutes...

Canadian Winter Weather and the Charging Port.. Any 3D printing pro's?

I posted this to reddit as well - but it's probably more of a canadian issue: I've had a bit of the stuck door handle and windows not lowering due to cold/ice issues. I've also had a lot of cars (subarus) with frameless windows and at this temperature never had this issue. Anyway - I'm sure it...

Southern Ontario change of temperature vs. Range

Parking outside, no climate, no pre-heat, no apps, and no checking the status. I'm charging now - so I'll be interested to see what the range is in the morning because I'll be plugged in overnight and should probably complete charging around 1030pm. Does the car continue to keep the battery...

Southern Ontario change of temperature vs. Range

What sort of overnight loss of range are you seeing in your Model 3? The weather is getting cooler here in Southern Ontario and last night was around the freezing mark. Noticed that i lost about 18km of range overnight. Is this in line with what you are seeing with similar temperatures?

Wheelsco Winter Tire Group Buy for GTA

I'm thinking the same thing. mostly because I don't have the time / hassle to put all the pieces together. But online reviews of the pirelli tires are hit and miss. I'm in Toronto but live on a pretty steep hill and some of the comments say the pirellis are not very good in deeper snow...

    Free Autopilot Trial?

Got the free trial yesterday. It's a little terrifying for the first few km's. Really enjoyed it on the HOV lanes from Toronto to the 403 though. One thing that did change after the latest update (but may be unrelated) is that the frunk won't open. It pops open but the latch doesn't release...

Daytime running lights - why uneven??

I don't know if it was always broken - but noticed it when I pulled up behind another car and noticed that the passenger headlight seemed brighter than the driver one. At first I thought it was just the angle I was viewing it from but when I took a close look - you could tell it was out...

Daytime running lights - why uneven??

Had this issue with my Drivers side headlamp. The LED accent light either stopped working or has been dislodged. You can really only tell if you get down to the same elevation of the strip. It's in for replacement right now and get it back tomorrow morning. vin was 289xx
