    Czech republic - Česká republika

It's (65kW) possible, my TMS has 58kW (or sth similar) there. EDIT: it's continuous 30 minute power, the limitation for EV is most probably getting rid of the heat.

    Sudden Unintended Acceleration

Even your probability means it (real problem) could (and probably did) happen considering the billions of miles driven. Maybe the driver reacted promptly so it did not make it into the news. Maybe it was hidden under "minor bug fixes" in release notes. Maybe... Tesla (any modern car in general)...

Elon confirmed addressing my biggest Tesla software deficiency: Tight Parking/360 view

Regarding ultrasonic and minimum range - it's a principal problem of the transducers (the thing in the bumper) used in cars - it's used both as speaker and microphone. They generate the burst (speaker mode) and then need to wait for some time to stop "shaking" to be able to act as microphone...

    Likely MCU Failure (MCU1 eMMC)

    Likely MCU Failure (MCU1 eMMC)

@am_dmd this is another nice example of what I'm talking about, actually. "Everyone" knows the storage chips have limited lifespan. So having them in some slot (read: replaceable) would be logical approach. Or at least to offer some kind of "refurbishing" for like $500, obviously it's possible...

    (non)Spare parts

@zanary yeah, it's the picture the guy had at SC. I'm just not getting why it can't be available - it's like changing complete wheel when valve cap gets lost. @PWlakewood It's still quite rare to see even functional one here ;)

    (non)Spare parts

Hi all, I just want to share my frustration, there is nothing any of us can do. I lost the piece of rubber which covers parking sensor in wheel arch. I went to Tesla to order one and the outcome is it's not possible. It doesn't exist as spare part, the only way is to order the complete wheel...

TeslaMate: Yet another self-hosted data logger for your Tesla

@Jarery I had that issue while running in "mixed" mode (only teslamate is container) - I had to create database and user manually. I assume it depends on defaults of db permissions on given platform.

    Last solid roofs in Europe?

I have Mar 2017 S75D AP2 with solid roof (first owner was from Germany). So at least till then they could be ordered. Be aware you can't have roof rack with solid roof.

    Software Update 2019.5.x

I got 50.6 last week to Mar 2017 (AP2) car. so it's not AP1-only thing.

    AP2 vs AP2.5

Also there should be another (longer range) radar. But I'm not sure this change is in sync with AP 2.5 HW or independent.

    In-car cell phone issues

It happened to me sporadically mid summer, then it went away and since v9 it's back in 100% of first calls. Thx everyone for the "volume up" workaround as I don't think we will get rid of that issue soon (phone is far away from fart and fireplace in alphabetical sorting of tasks to be...

    Farting app on the way

I wonder all the time, why (as they seem not wanting to fix "boring" stuff) not to open source the code (with proper pull request procedure, of course)? I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of owners who are annoyed enough AND have the skills to fix in one person.

    Farting app on the way

Tesla actually releases a ‘fart app’ as an Easter egg in its vehicles Great they care about issues or improvements... /s

    Software Update 2018.48.x

Maybe it should, but for sure it doesn't here. So far I've noticed two scenarios of fogging in auto mode in current weather.. 1/ it turns off A/C and turns on re-circulation (so humidity from breathing increases) 2/ it turns off blowing the air on windshield.

Windows not working after parked but sat inside

It's quite common (at least here in EU), that windows operate only like 5 minutes after you turn off the ignition (or till you open the door) regardless whether you are in or not. So it sounds like feature to me.

    Software Update 2018.44.x

@bmah it's needed for factory reset already.

Charging current - I think I've seen the -1 on dashboard as well but I'm not 100% sure. Sharing position - the same (Android 8, both Google Maps and Mapy.cz).

Model S range and interior update imminent?

They probably corrected it, now the text in article says: 72 amp on-board charger: single phase markets are now moving to 48 amp charger. 3-phase markets are un-impacted; they will continue to get the 72-amp on-board charger.

I know the thread is dead, but why to create a new one Tesla owners meetup in Prague as part of the e-salon exhibition. Saturday Not 17th. Na e-Salonu proběhne další sraz majitelů elektromobilů Tesla, pošlou vzkaz Elonovi (sorry, czech only).

    Software Update 2018.42.x

Lucky you. It was like 8 degC, 70% humidity. I've tried couple of times during the ride - once I push "airflow up" (upper left button). Fog disappears. After switching to Auto, the button (for a while) stays grayed and blue, then it switches to gray (off) and fogging reappears. Turning it on...

    Software Update 2018.42.x

HI all, just for curiosity, does your v9 (42.3 in my case, installed yesterday) keep turning off airflow to windscreen (so it keeps fogging), when climate is in Auto? Thx

No Real Time Traffic 42.2 (e44)

@f205v good point. I did factory reset couple of weeks ago (in hope to get newer update than 32.4, but that doesn't matter) and traffic layer was turned off as default.

Memory corruption issues in 18.42.2 on MCU1 cars?

The "font" issues probably would not be reported at system level as memory error - more likely it's either QT font library bug or problem of Tesla code using that library. Note no other stuff than texts is affected.
  31. E

    Software Update 2018.42.x

Yay, that's the brilliant solution, why to mess up with fixing bugs, customer can disable all features he/she paid for (auto wipers, passive entry, keyless drive...)

Another Safety Tale... My Children Safe

Sorry, but what's relevance of video of different car in completely different type of crash to prove whatever? I can post the article, where model S got "acceptable" rating for off-center frontal collision. But again, what would be the relevance for rear-end crash? But I see, yet another...

Another Safety Tale... My Children Safe

Great nothing worse happened. But, just for curiosity, what makes you believe no other car would make it? I'm not sure about US market, but you can find another 5* "crash-tested" cars here.

    Cold feet

Do you know this one? Foot Warmer | TeslaTap I haven't checked, maybe there are still some to buy (because of the postage, I'd prefer author to sell the model for printer).

Elon Musk: EAP solved, on track for FSD completion in 2019 (No one else is close!)

It's not sudden, the work on v9 started probably at the moment v8 got released (year ago, v8 started to be in "maintenance mode"). Yeah, they make some progress on features, but not much progress on stability, unfortunately (i.e. memory corruption in other thread). And, believe or not, getting...

    Software Update 2018.42.x

I'd call it "real world problem". You don't know which version is going to be installed (what are known bugs) and there is no way back once you install. I understand "no rollback", but I can't see any reason for not giving the version to be installed.

Anyone Install a 3rd Brake Light Flasher?

Wish they implemented that instead of Atari games. Or at least while braking hard (like in most new EU cars). Or turning brake lights off when standing (on auto hold) and the car behind me standing as well (not to blind him). Or....

v9 finally going international? ... 2018.40 spotted in Japan

I've read it somewhere here. I'll try to dump what I remember (no guarantee for correctness) Europe is divided into 4 zones - UK - Switzerland - Scandinavia - rest of Europe The regular maintenance, warranty service... can be done only in zone you bought the new car in. (read: no buying used...

v9 finally going international? ... 2018.40 spotted in Japan

AFAIK Switzerland is one of 4 European zones for Tesla. So maybe something zone-specific.

Elon Musk: EAP solved, on track for FSD completion in 2019 (No one else is close!)

Quite funny (sad) no one mentioned Tesla is trying to build skyscraper (FSD) but they don't have anything close to solid foundation yet. I'd expect having RELIABLE low level ("reflective") behavior like avoiding potholes/sewers, stopping for obstacles, not stopping for shadows, smooth speed...

SAFETY ISSUE: Cruise Control Problem and Workaround

@Ande Are you sure you are talking about the same thing? The +10 issue shows sometimes in (in v8). I'm not sure it's just some versions or just some locations, but for sure it's not related to "max speed" setting (I have it permanently on relative +3kmh).
  43. E

Why does Tesla use a Resistance Heater instead of Heat Pump

HP is usually there already (A/C), maybe some valves need to be added. So there is probably no reason not to have both (PTC weighs and costs pretty much nothing).
  44. E

v9 finally going international? ... 2018.40 spotted in Japan

Just for curiosity, is the AP jail still there if you speed up above 150 momentarily with AP on? I guess so but I hope they might forget ;)

    Florida Autopilot crash Oct 2018

It's not only static objects, at least v8 slows down quite late (and abruptly) for slower objects - i.e. you go 130 and approaching two passing trucks going 90. It keeps 130 quite long and then slams the brakes and rapidly slows down to 90.
  46. E

    EAP Maxed Out?

May be sufficient in US, however dynamic speed limits are quite common here in Europe, that can't be covered by any static data. Not mentioned polluting them by "one time event" - i.e. here, in tunnel complex, the usual speed is 70, but map data contain 30 in one section. Which means the car...

Couple of days back, I've read "several months for drive on nav in EU because of variety of lines used". So in Tesla time, probably next summer (if we are lucky).

    Software Update 2018.42.x

Lucky you, mine still hanging on 32.4. Though, it's downloading 7GB of sth roughly once a month. Fresh portion of Full-HD electronic porn to "image process" overnight, I assume... :) Sorry for OT...
