Yep, closing windows with the phone app seems like the first step here. As for power consumption, my Sentry Mode doesn't drain my battery at all-- I hardly notice it. Maybe that's just me. But yeah, it would need to make sure it doesn't drain the battery while trying to detect rain.

I'm sure this has been suggested before but I just thought about it. How nice would it be for the car to automatically sense rain when the windows are down, then roll them up automatically? Apart from being a nice feature for us, it would be a great selling point for Teslas: never worry about...

The upgrade to 46.2 has made the automatic windshield wipers totally usable now for me. Previously they wouldn't turn on until the windshield was so covered that I couldn't see properly. Now they seem more sensitive and actually turn on when I expect them to.

It went away for me after about 2 weeks. Still happens to my wife every now and then if she's on her phone while I'm driving.

My iPhone XS is more like 85%. The times it doesn't work, I just try the handle 3-4 times in a row then it tends to work.

Not sure yet. I got the gray x before upgrading to 42.2. Now it's had a red dot for a day or two. Will keep monitoring to see if that turns into an x after a few days.

Silly/serious question: why does anyone need a key fob? Is the credit card key not good enough? Not having a key fob is a big upside to M3, in my opinion.

Silly question, but can you have a USB for TeslaCam and both of the phone chargers at the front plugged in? I had to unplug one of the phone chargers in order to use that USB slot for TeslaCam.

Jeda works very well for me, no problems with installation or charging whatsoever. I did not get the fast charging addition, and it still charges quickly. Some nits though: The back of the charger doesn't have the indentations that the standard rubber pad has, instead there are sort of sticker...

One of the most underrated features is the Hold lock for the brakes. For me, this usually happens automatically, but if you're stopped and the ((H)) doesn't appear, then you can press the brake down extra hard and it will activate the brake lock. Then just press the accelerator to unlock it...

This alone would be worth the update for me. The auto wipers are so promising but aren't sensitive enough and don't turn on soon enough for me.

Any advice on getting a vanity plate? I was hoping to have that option along the way instead of just getting a standard plate. I assume at this point I'll just have to go through the NC DMV to return this plate and order a new one.

Finally called the Tesla sales line and someone answered. Said the plate should be delivered today: 3 days before my temporary license plate expires :) Guess we'll see!

I totally agree with this. Having my car locked in the garage is annoying-- I can't even unplug the car in my garage without having my phone/key with me. It would be great if it had an option to stay unlocked when parked in the garage.

I came here to ask this same question, thanks for posting it. I haven't noticed the tail lights on the car in the display, but can't wait to see it this afternoon.

Update: I called the license plate office and they said to call the Tesla dealership back. I've left two voice messages for Tesla about this and so far no call back. My temporary plates expire in a week, so I hope something is in the works.

My Apple Watch Series 3 is essentially touted as being made to be a standalone device (it even has its own phone number, albeit redirects to/from the iPhone). Agreed it would really be great if we could unlock TM3 with the Apple Watch-- if only as backup to a phone without power.

I'm on 2018.24.7 and sporadically get the echo on the other end. It happens more a) when my wife calls me while I'm in the TM3 (not the other way around), and b) when either of us made a call quickly after getting in/starting the car. Really hoping the next update fixes it.
