I sold my 2020 MSP in February to downsize a bit (financially). I test drove a MY and just didn’t love it (ride, darty handling, and absence of ventilated seats). I couldn’t justify the ~$57k to buy it new. I am interested in the new MX but now it’s delayed until next year.
I am picking up a 6...
Realize I’m just a tire kicker and I didn’t place a refresh MX order... I sold my 2020 MSP back in February so I am familiar with the outgoing cars / features.
I am picking up a 6 seat 2021 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring for now and will give Tesla and competitors a few more years to work this out...
Was waiting to see what happens with the X (haven’t ordered) but don’t think I’m willing to wait until 2022.
Also not willing to deal with the recent price increases on the Y.
I’m going to test drive a Mazda CX-9 in the next few days.
Kuat Transfer was my original choice last year but then I ended up with a Rockymounts Monorail:
https://rockymounts.com/products/monorail-2.html
I had it on an S, not Y, but it’s a great rack.
Interested in comparing a refresh MX 7-seater to a MY 7-seater when the refresh is finally available.
My big question is if the refresh MX will come with a 2” tow hitch like they used to...
I took delivery of a 2020 Model S Performance in November 2019 and drove the car to get winter tires fitted the next day. These tires were driven less than 20 miles by me after delivery of the car and have been stored in bags since then.

Selling my 2020 Raven MS Performance to free up cash for a house purchase. I've had it for almost exactly a year. Love the car but priorities have changed.

Thanks!
I just pulled the rear bumper off my car and installed a hitch last weekend so I’m not worried about installation. I’m more worried about final aesthetics. Looking forward to seeing pics!
Did you get these yet? I’m intrigued but worried they would look out of place on a white car. I am getting tired of scrubbing tar off the doors and right behind the rear wheels.
I have: 21" Model S turbines (staggered) in grey with good tires (OEM Michelin PSS - fronts are 80% and rears have less than 5,000 miles); no curb rash; wheel faces are ceramic coated; there is some slight peeling of the clearcoat on the back lip of one of the wheels
I want: 19" Model S wheels...
Back in the day I used them to get a 1.39% rate with this same promotion and then had Lightstream match it. Too bad Lightstream doesn't match secured loans anymore...
But yes, they are legit if you are a federal employee or contractor.
No, it's a 2020. I think it got beat up from my wedding ring because I was putting my phone in the little pocket there.
Thanks for the reply! Where is the parts catalog online?
Thanks, the trip went okay considering I made it where I was going within a reasonable amount of time. I'm thinking about driving the whole way to Sunday River in ME this Summer for the New England Forest Rally. I wish the Bethel, ME supercharger was up and running, but it seems like Sunday...
I did a bunch of test fitting and my results are near the end of this thread: New owner— Best booster seat?
My 7 (almost 8) year old has no problem but my 5 (almost 6 now) year old struggled back in December. I’m about to move her over to a booster soon as she did better in one on a recent road...
Rockville SC told me I had to take my car to Kenwood myself to get delivery paint issues addressed, so that was their recommendation/ preferred shop as of December.

I have not gotten work done there so can not review positive or negative, just...
My experience was very similar to OP. It wasn’t egregiously bad but it’s also pretty lackluster for a company selling $100k cars.
East coast USA here, in MD.
Thanks, it’s nice to have that context from your experience. This was my first long distance trip that required multiple charges and there was definitely some anxiety about superchargers being full or unavailable and not matching status in the nav.
I chose to drive to the NB supercharger on 15 since it was closer and I was already below 10% SOC. That was my choice but we’re getting into the philosophical realm now.
What I expected to find based on the in-car navigation system was a functioning v3 supercharger. What I found was a...
Well, I was going back home to MD and arrived with 9% charge, so not enough where I was comfortable to try and get through NYC.
Stamford was listed as a 75kWh max charger, slow.
I had no confidence that any of the v3 chargers including Darien NB would work after another report of issues from a...
Tried to charge here (southbound) and it would not charge my 2020 MSP at all. I tried 3 different stalls. We had to detour north to Rt. 15 to continue and will circle back around.
Annoying.
I experienced it in an earlier build and suggestions were a good long sleep for the car via the “power off” button in the menus. My issue has not returned since then.
