2010 Tesla Roadster Sport with 3.0 Battery Upgrade

Yeah, I wish I were a collector but I'm not. I just buy for pleasure now. But I agree, in some years this will be even more special.

2010 Tesla Roadster Sport with 3.0 Battery Upgrade

Good morning fellow TMC forum members. I just thought I would publish a post that I have listed my 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport with the 3.0 battery upgrade for sale. It is on all of the major sites - Autotrader, Cars.com and eBay. I have also created a overview video. VIN is...

Two Sets of 21" Silver Arachnids (Summer and Winter)

Just noticed there are a bunch of these for sale, so I'll sell each set for $3,000 or $5,500 for both sets. Shipping not included.

    Getting refund for roadster reservation

Just my two cents - I relatively easily received my full refund on my Tesla Roadster last week. It took roughly one week once I got to the right person. Here is the process I followed: 1) I called the number displayed on my reservation. 2) Went through the prompts to reach an existing...

Two Sets of 21" Silver Arachnids (Summer and Winter)

No worries! Happy to help. First off, I tried what Tire Rack recommended which was a non-staggered set of 245/35/21 all around. But the tires looked way too small on the rears. And there are not 265 winters available. So I ended up going with 275/35/21 in the rear. Not going to lie, they...

Two Sets of 21" Silver Arachnids (Summer and Winter)

I am selling two sets of wheels now that I have sold my Tesla Model S: 1) a brand new set of 21" Silver Arachnid wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires (OEM) that have NEVER been used/installed on a vehicle and include TPMS installed. 2) a like-new set of 21" Silver Arachnid wheels with Pirelli...

Brand New 21” Black Arachnid Wheels Tesla Model S

Thanks. I will do that. And I am a member - joined this fall, it's just the past couple of events have been around the holidays when I already was out of town. Can't wait to meet folks. I would have taken you up on your offer a month ago - I bought two sets of the silver arachnids as i have...

Brand New 21” Black Arachnid Wheels Tesla Model S

I am selling the black 21” arachnid wheel set that came on my new 2018 P100d. These were taken off the day my car was delivered. I ended up going with silver versions of the same wheels. Tesla is now selling these on the web for $6K plus tax and a long lead time. I’ve taken lots of photos...

Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance Tire Size?

LOL - yeah. I installed my winter wheel/tire set last week as it has become quite cold in Kansas! I haven't noticed any performance degradation since I changed them out.

Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance Tire Size?

I ended up going with the Michelin Alpinas. I normally like the Pirelli Sottozeros from my Porsche days, but they didn't have the Pirelli in stock at the time and Michelin's were well-rated. As long as Tire Rack says they are well rated, they should be good to go!
  15. R

Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance Tire Size?

You should just order a set that matches the tire sizes on your Model 3. This was my fault - I posed the question before my car came in and I wasn't sure if the Model 3 AWD performance had staggered wheels or all four the same. Turns out they are all the same!

WTB 21" Tesla Model S Silver Turbine Staggered Wheel Set

Have a new 2018 Model S P100D en route. Would like to buy a set of 21" turbine wheels in silver. Want OEM, not aftermarket and not a set that has been powdercoated. Don't need tires, but would consider a set with them as well. Not sure why Tesla doesn't keep making these!

    New Roadster Owner!

Will do! I take delivery of my Model S P100D on November 12th. Of course, getting them all in once place is a little tricky as I have an offsite garage for two of them.

    New Roadster Owner!

LOL - I used to live in Dallas and agree. If I were down there I'm not sure if it would ever get "put away" for the winter!

    New Roadster Owner!

Took delivery of a 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport (2.0) with the 3.0 Battery upgrade a few weeks ago. Really appreciate all of the help from @X.l.r.8 @arijaycomet @hcsharp @NomoC8 @ModelS for your help and/or accessories! The weather has been decent the past two weeks in Kansas so I've been able to...

Brand New 21" Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tire Set for Model S

So far I've done estimates to Denver $110 and California $170. So if you are need of another set of staggered tires, this is still a $500 savings versus buying from Tire Rack, even with the shipping.

Brand New 21" Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tire Set for Model S

$800 plus actual shipping. My ship from zip is 66062 and you can use shipping dimensions as two packages each with dimensions of 28 x 28 x 11 and 54lbs insured for $400 each.

Brand New 21" Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tire Set for Model S

Bought a second set of 21" Arachnid wheels for my 2018 Model S P100D and they came with new (still with stickers on them) tires - 245/35 (front) and 265/35 (rear). These tires retail for $1,475 as a set from TireRack. Local pickup in Kansas City or I'll ship them at cost (taped together in two...

WTB: Tesla Roadster 14-50 Charging Cable/Plug

Would love to buy a second of the Tesla Roadster 14-50 Charging Cables if anyone has one/knows of one. I just prefer using that cable (versus adding an adapter to use the Tesla HPWC).

245 vs 275 Rear Winter Tire?

The Arachnid 21" wheels are staggered and come with 245 front, 265 rear.
  27. R

245 vs 275 Rear Winter Tire?

So - I am going to have a winter 21" set for my P100D. Pirelli doesn't make a 265/35 21" winter tire to match the staggered setup of the summer tires. TireRack recommends 245 all around. But 245 on the wider rear wheel looks like a kid with too small of shoes. There is a 275/35 matching...

    Wall Outlet Type?

I have a used Tesla Roadster coming my way in a couple of weeks. I have an electrician coming out tomorrow. What is the outlet type I want to have him install to use the 240V wall adapter that comes with the Tesla Roadster? Is it a NEMA 14-50?

Closing to Pulling the Trigger on a 2010 Roadster

I was tempted to call the KC Tesla Service center just to make sure they service Roadsters. I assume they all do - given it won't be my main/only car I am ok if with some down time. I tend to be a new car guy so I'm in unchartered territory just understanding what I'm getting into. As long as...

Closing to Pulling the Trigger on a 2010 Roadster

Gotcha! I could probably use one of the mobile chargers included with one of my other Teslas with the CAN SR, right? Would that be more reliable? Thanks again for all of your help!

Closing to Pulling the Trigger on a 2010 Roadster

I apologize in advance if my question is dense - what do you mean by needing to change the wall plug? Doesn't the cable the comes with it plug into a normal wall outlet? I wasn't sure what you meant about converting it to a normal plug end. And my electricity knowledge is barely above a...

Closing to Pulling the Trigger on a 2010 Roadster

Thank you! Last for of VIN are 0613. So you are saying that my plan to trickle charge the 2010 Roadster with its included 120V cable might not be a good idea? I was thinking about doing that when I'm not using the car. I can ask for the logs - although not sure how to interpret them :-). If...

Closing to Pulling the Trigger on a 2010 Roadster

I really appreciate all of your helpful posts and replies. I've been reading up as I assess a 2010 that is for sale. It has had the 3.0 upgrade, although it was completed in 2016. It's a 2.0, not a 2.5 but looks well-cared for. I had a P85d back when they first came out and have been a crazy...

Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance Tire Size?

Have a Model 3 Performance AWD on order and want to buy a second set of matching wheels with winter tires. The Tesla website doesn't sell wheels for this model yet. I called the local service center and they can order them for me. But my question is- are the tires/wheels on the M3...
