Went from a model S to a Y earlier this year. I LOVED my S, but the old battery tech, being out of warranty and piece of mind made it a no brainer to move on. I have to say my model S held it's value unbelievably well. Took me some time to get used to my Y but glad I moved on.

My old MS had it the way your talking about. Only thing I can think is that since my old MS had the large portrait screen as opposed to large landscape screen. Do you know if the new MS with the landscape screens has the layout the same?

Thank you. I was able to successfully add the phone as a key and then I was able to revoke Tesla's app permission for "nearby devices". It worked perfectly. The only issue is this notification in the Tesla app that says, "Phone key disabled". But I can deal with that.

Mine came separately from Tesla when I bought first one years ago. Not sure if the process is the same.

A couple more questions, if I revoke the Android phone's "nearby devices permission" will the car still be able to receive texts and phone calls from that phone? Second, do I have to re-pair the phone to the car? Lastly, do I set the phone as a key before or after revoking the nearby devices...

OMG. I'm dealing with this now. I should have NEVER opted for the white dash. So distracting.

I formatted the drive in the car and only use it for Sentry and Dashcam clips. Nothing else on the drive.

I'm picking up my MYLR on Monday, but I had a 2015 MS until a couple weeks ago. I've had many interactions with the service center nearest me and another not so close. I never had a problem with them. Quite the opposite, my experiences has been very positive. Maybe I'm just lucky, I don't know.

I think its mostly Tesla that causes the delay. I hope they've gotten better. When I bought my MS in 2018 it took almost four months before I got my plates!
