The Ellesworth chargers are down(8/31). Anyone know how temporary this is?

Tesla just raised the price off all cars $700 if you don't live in MA or RI

It has never been free, there is a 1200 destination charge already. And the sales tax is just a PITA as Vermont credits the tax already paid. I'd rather the tax go to my state.

Tesla just raised the price off all cars $700 if you don't live in MA or RI

Actually it is a Tesla Issue. They are eliminating delivery in states that they choose to not have a presence in. Vermont would love to have a Tesla store. On top of that, there is already a delivery charge in the pricing, and that was how my 3 ad my son's Y were delivered.

Tesla just raised the price off all cars $700 if you don't live in MA or RI

So a Vermonter here. I just ordered a model Y last week. I thought there must have been a mistake somehow as the only way I could get the car was to pick it up in Paramus NJ. I sure didn't have to do that for my Model 3. I called Tesla and they said it must be a mistake and to let the order...

    Supercharger - Lawrence, MA

This had nothing to do with the demographics of Lawrence. Andover and North Andover were 3 miles from the site, definitely the demographic. When Lyon Waugh bought the dealership franchise they ran it in the Lawrence facility for a few years. They were forced to relocate to Nashua when Audi USA...

Per kWh pricing in New England

It just got really expensive (relatively) to supercharge. It has about doubled my effective kWH pricing.

Model 3 Standard Range+ owners... how is it in New England?

No I have a dual motor, but I live at 2150' at the end of a super steep mile long unpaved road. (and I have a dedicated set of aero's w/snows.) My point is, if your commute is that short, range wont be a daily concern. And when road tripping, you have superchargers. Before I bought the car I was...

Model 3 Standard Range+ owners... how is it in New England?

Just get the car, the sooner the better and you will not be disappointed. Get a second set of wheels with snows, it is basically free considering you use up x% of a tire in y miles driven. As for the battery and driving, the magic of Tesla (and what I didn't realize when I bought mine) is a...

Tesla - North Shore Mall Gallery- Peabody

I've probably got it backwards. When I last paid attention a year ago I saw that Tesla was trying to hire service techs in the North Shore. With Peabody appearing to be a showroom, I just assumed Beverly would have been service plus SC? It had to be Peabody for service

Reducing noise and keeping the door sills clean

No, not concerned, at all. Just make sure the door bottom seals are mounted above the drain hole. Dont worry, the flap still seals. Most instruction videos don't show this correctly. This and mudflaps are the best things I've done to my 3. (I live on a dirt road in VT)

Anyone in Boston Area Comment on needing winter tires?

Probably piling on here, but winter tires are for winter, not just snow. Better traction in cold in addition to snow. X-Ices are great (Nokian ran out of tires last year in Model 3 size or I would have purchased those out of habit). But one more thing to consider. Snow tires end up being a wash...

    Supercharger - Burlington VT

Burlington is a great town, but that parking lot can be a mess and hard to get in and out of. Take advantage of the SC in Berlin, VT on your way. Super convenient. I find that is about as far as I get with my model3 when heading from BOS. You won't need to charge again till you are on your way back.

    "Full-Time" AWD Winter Mode

I was thinking about this thread on Tuesday driving from VT to MA on snow-packed roads. (at least until I got to Rt 89). I still want a non rear biased "snow mode". Yes for snow tires and the car is very good n the snow, not just OK. But it isn't as good as my Torsen diff Audis. And it doesn't...

Winter tires for M3 in Vermont

Vianor in Montpelier is excellent. Nokian Dealer. They have been excellent for tires and repair work. I haven't needed them for my 3 yet, but, they have worked on all my other vehicles. I tried to get Hakkas last January, but they were sold out everywhere in the Model 3, 18" size. Call them, you...

    Supercharger - Medway, ME

I did a the same itinerary on 9/5 leaving on 9/8. (perfect Catherdral/Summit/Knife Edge day Friday). Just enough for the round trip. I did turn off the climate and the interior lights, and din't lose that much. I did hear a comment on one of the Tesla podcasts that a "camping" mode might be...

Supercharger - Hooksett NH Rest Areas

As of this (Monday) morning, SB has not yet seen the new cabinets. But it was almost impossible to get to the existing SCs due to the plethora of idling pickup towing RV NASCAR fans clogging the Rest are buying donuts and Diet Pepsi. Literally 3 were live parked idling fumes blocking the SCs.

    Winter/summer Tire Changeover Mixing 18" And 19" Rim's

I bought the 18's from a Floridian on the forum and had them shipped. I bought the TPMS through Amazon and had them programmed by a forum member For Sale: Programming Service for Autel TPMS Sensors - $25 It all worked out just fine.

    Winter/summer Tire Changeover Mixing 18" And 19" Rim's

It will ask you when it senses new TPMS, I believe it even asked what diameter the new wheels were (I think). The car came with the 19's, I bought 18's for winter.

    Winter Tires on Model 3

I bought almost new 18" Aero's from someone through the forums, and put Hakkas on. Saved a couple hundred and got the rubber I wanted. Should be easy to do with plenty of time before the snow flies again.

Tire and Loading Information Label for 18” or 19” OEM

Apologize for the quality, but interestingly the load specs from all three photo/s are different!. I have a LR dual motor, are the other two a LR and a SR?

How does Roof Rack hold up in the long run?

MIne has been great. No issues. Weather makes more of a significant difference for me than the marginal detriment of the rack. I also think there was a post that attempted to quantify the decrease in efficiency with some measurements. Found it: Model 3 Roof Rack Consumption Test

What's up with this now? - 3 weeks of ownership and several problems...

Stuff like that is frustrating. Just to try and level the anecdotal impact of the post, I've had my 3 LR dual, since Dec, 14K mi, and 0 problems. It will get better.

    Wait....Powerwall can be your meter?

I already have a zero power bill with power available at night with GMP....(other than the mortgage on the 10kW array, approx $120/month.) My house is all electric. Actually, the zero power bill isn't the case anymore since I got the 3. Time for more panels.

I'm a GMP customer and have my name on the list for this program. Hoping I'm in the first 250. GMP is an exemplary utility, with innovative programs aimed at a zero carbon future.

Converting 110 outlets for home charging ?

I think the 240V is more efficient pushing charge into the battery, not inherently in the AC>DC conversion. But I second the motion on the 6-20. That is what I have at my home away from home and it is more than sufficient. The only time it wouldn't be is if I was depleting the entire battery...

How much does your electricity cost?

Vermont. $0.16 kWh 24/7. I do get a $0.06/kWh adder on top of the $0.16/kWh for all solar I generate whether I net it back to the grid or use it directly.

Lights in house flicker while charging new Model 3

All this is anecdotal. But, I had a similar issue after installation of a 60A circuit to power the Tesla wall unit. After a few weeks I started to get flickering lights when charging, lowering the current seemed to help. But we did notice some crackling, barely audible at the breaker box. End...
