    Het vraag en aanbod draadje

Originele Tesla Aero 19” velgen, zeer zeldzaam. 5x120 ET40 8Jx19...

I recently got the Aero Wheels that were available from Tesla for the Model S some year ago. Somewhat acquired taste but I like them more and more:

TPMS - suitable for my S?

Ok, they are on the car and it is clear, they have the old TPMS installed.... Gotta source a replacement. Has anyone tried the cheaper TPMS from Aliexpress, Amazon etc?

TPMS - suitable for my S?

Hello, I recently picked up a set of wheels that I want to use for the winter. They come from a Model S and have TPMS installed, but how can I find out if they are suitable for my 2019 Model S? (other then putting them onto the car) Is there an easy way? By the way the wheels are got are...

    Transporting wheels inside Model S

I did it! 8 19" wheels and still having the passenger seat empty. Not easy but doable :) IMG_2607 by Marvin posted Jul 26, 2020 at 7:42 PMIMG_2652 by Marvin posted Jul 26, 2020 at 7:42 PM

    Transporting wheels inside Model S

Thank you, yes that helps. I wonder if putting them in standing (and properly attached) would allow for more. In my good old Prius I was able to fit in two sets without much trouble (they are admittedly smaller though).

    Transporting wheels inside Model S

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I cannot see the picture in the last post. Not putting the rear seats down is a good idea, hadn't thought about that but indeed there is a nice flat surface. I will post pictures should I succeed :)

    Transporting wheels inside Model S

Hi, I hope someone can help me: I am about to buy two sets of 19" wheels for my Model S. They are both quite far away but the two sellers are close to each other. Therefore I would like to pick all up in one roundtrip. Is it feasible to fit all 8 wheels inside (with the rear seats down of...

    Should I buy a Tesla?

I have to respectfully disagree. I have driven both the Model S and the Model 3 for a couple of days each and they are not playing in the same league. While I agree that the Model 3 might have the better tech and the exterior size is somewhat more practical, for the rest I am not convinced: -...

    $5K price drop?

2017 still has MCU1. So with some bad luck you will have to replace this outside warranty which sets you back 2.5k.That and the older tech, less warranty etc makes the 2017 too expensive you mentioned too expensive compared to the new on IMHO.

Buying a used Model S- what must have features should I hold out for?

No I didn’t know the 75D uses the same battery. Can you explain?

Buying a used Model S- what must have features should I hold out for?

I am in the same boat as Littlefinger9 and want to replace my good old Prius sometime this year with a Model S. Today I saw an awesome offer from Tesla directly for a fully loaded 90D from 2015 with only a bit over 30k miles over it for only 48k. Here in Europe it comes with full 2 years...

    $5K price drop?

Chatted online with a Tesla guy in Belgium and he told me that as of today for new orders the free supercharging is indeed gone :( Granted a 5k reduction (actually 4800 Euros here) gives you quite a lot of charges....

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Hello again, here I am with yet another car: 2015 70D with 55k miles on it in titanium metallic (I love that color) Since it comes from Tesla it has 2 years warranty Equipment-wise it has - cloth seats (do they come with heating?) - air suspension (a big plus for me) - autopilot - keyless entry...

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Wow, the only other really expensive item I could see in the list was the MCU which I think is about 3k.

Got it, would be interesting to know how much excluding drive train and battery (which are still covered in above mentioned car). But certainly quite a bit.

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Ok, let me try again with a different Model S, this time offered by Tesla: It's a 90D from 2016 (facelift) with only 26k miles on it. I guess for that reason Tesla offers full 4 year warranty (limited to 50k miles driven from delivery however, but that should be almost the same as 4 years...

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Thanks for all the interesting feedback, I didn't know that Tesla would replace with a 2nd hand battery, that indeed changes things quite a bit. @hpartsch: May I be curious: what kind of repairs did you have that added up to so much? Overall I guess you guys are right and I probably keep...

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

I get what you mean but in practice what is the alternative as to where to buy a used Tesla? 1. Buying from Tesla: From what I could read on this forum and also elsewhere, buying a used car from Tesla is a rather chaotic and lengthy experience. Advantage is of course the warranty directly from...

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Price is €34k, or about $38k which here in Europe is cheap, not many S below 40k on the market. Drivetrain and battery are pretty new which is what I like about it, and they should still be under warranty until 2022 (I believe in the past there was no mileage limit, just 8 year warranty) My...

Need advice: High milage P85 from 2014

Hi, I hope I can get some good advice here: I saw a 2014 P85 advertised with 270k km on it - so about 170k miles. From the pictures it looks good and the price is attractive. It is sold by a car dealer. According to the advertisement it has recently undergone a big service costing $5k (!) and...

Logging Multiple CAN Buses to PC with my CAN-Do Program

Hi, sorry to awake this old thread, but I hope someone can help me: I would like to build the necessary cable to connect and OBD2 port with Tesla myself since there are only 4 wires to connect and I feel they are a bit overprices on Ebay etc. But while it's easy to find an empty OBD2 connector...

    What’s S60D to S75D upgrade/uncork price today?

Sorry, I saw it straight afterwards. Both of these options more or less double the price with the delivery charges which I dislike but I found some sources on Ebay as well now. Actually the cables look quite simple, probably easy enough to build yourself?!

Hi Rothman, would you mind sharing the exact hardware needed for the ScanMyTesla App? I assume it only exists on Android, non IOS? Many thanks.

Ordering on NL site but not from NL

Zero VAT would indeed apply for an export, you then have to pay VAT in Croatia of course.

Ordering on NL site but not from NL

Cannot find it right now on the website but I am 99% sure that I read when I previously configured a Tesla on their website, that somewhere it said that you have to register it in the country of purchase.

    Want Chrome - - Undelete ! ?

It's funny how times have changed. Chrome accents used to be a sign of a higher spec model, sometimes people would pay extra for it. Now people wrap it to hide it. And of course what Tesla does on the Model Y is not a "Chrome Delete" - it's a no chrome used cost saving (since many people don't...

Model S Long Range Plus - 390 miles (Model X upgraded, too)

Who is responsible for the design of these wheels? After the hideous 19” Model Y wheels they put these monstrosities on the S - trying to increase spend per customer through an obligatory wheel upgrade?

    Model Y price change?

Possibly. But I have been waiting for competition to come for a while now and although a lot is announced, not much is happing in practice. Volvo has been talking about the XC40 electric forever, but still no date. ID3 more or less same thing and the Polestar seems to be close but also no...

Will Model Y be shipped or only produced locally?

I have lived both in China and in Europe so I can compare the speed of getting things done and well.. it is absolutely not comparable. Things that take 1 year in China usually take 3-5 years in Europe (road constructions, buildings etc). And add to that the current protests against that Tesla...

Will Model Y be shipped or only produced locally?

Well the building time itself is one thing (google BER airport .... ) But the question is when will they actually start building it. There have been quite a few protests against it for dubious reasons - makes you wonder how much the German auto industry is behind the scenes. I am sure once it is...

Will Model Y be shipped or only produced locally?

I really hope that we will get imports, maybe from Shanghai? If we wait for the Berlin factory to be up and running the Model Y will be outdated :-/

    Model Y Wheels

Unfortunately unlikely going to happen. So far every single Tesla rim I have seen is so wide that it is not protected by the tire. And in addition the trend to bigger diameter rims (and resulting low profile tires) makes them even more likely to get curbed.

    19" Gemini wheels

Let's see when the first deliveries are out, in any case both alloy wheel options behind the plastic covers look quite good. I just wish they were not so wide so that they don't get curbed too easily.

    19" Gemini wheels

These are not the Gemini wheels. Here is a video that shows them in detail with and without covers (and yes with covers they are not very pretty IMHO).

    Official Model Y Wheel Thread?

Just seen those Gemini wheels for the first time. At least on the picture on the configuration page they look absolutely hideous. Would be interesting to see what is under these wheel covers? The Aeros might not be the most beautiful but I still prefer them over the Geminis. And why no more 18"...
