    Crack in roof glass

I found a crack on the rear glass and after taking it to Tesla they determined it was a stress fracture and covered the replacement under warranty. It would have cost $1000 if I had to pay for it myself.

    MyQ Issues

My experience is the same as most here. Opens 100% of the time but only closes about 25%. Unless they fix this there's no reason to actually pay for the subscription and I'd suggest others hold off. If people buy a 'buggy' product there's no incentive for them to fix it. I also think the pricing...

2021.36.8 Adds Remote Sentry Live Footage on App

I just updated to 2021.4 and I'm using version 4.2.39-742 (Android) and no remote sentry video available for me. I have the premium connectivity package but the car is connected to wifi.

    Firmware 2021.40.x

Updated mine to 2021.40 but didn't notice anything new. Was hoping for remote Sentry video but it's not there. I have the premium connectivity.

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

Sorry for the late late reply. Although initially I wasn't presented with legal fees, I ended up receiving them several months later. Close to $1000 for that piece. In the detailed breakdown, the lawyers charged me for every question I had asked pertaining to certain parts of the contract. If I...

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

That would be a question to ask of your condo manager. I believe as long as they are licensed and have the required insurance, you should be able to choose who you want as ultimately you're going to be the one paying for it.

    Premium Connectivity in Canada

My P3D- Stealth delivered in Aug 2019 received the upgrade. At first I thought it was a glitch and didn't check to see if others had also received it. Glad it's back, I don't really stream anything or watch Netflix/YouTube in the car but the satellite maps are nice, I just couldn't justify...

    Premium Connectivity in Canada

Mine is set to expire in August as per the in-car display. I didn't realize this was a limited trial when I purchased it as I thought the Performance model included the premium connectivity.

Tesla drops Premium Connectivity Package in Australia to A$9.99

At the current price I won't be subscribing. If they offered a $99/year package I'd consider it.

when is good time to swap to all season tire from winter tire ?

Ordered a low profile jack from Costco as the one I had for a number of years doesn't go low enough for my Model 3. Should hopefully get here early this week.

Due to privacy laws I would doubt that they would share that. It's not complex, just need to submit your request and have someone draw up the proposed installation plans.

Does this apply to parking mall EV spots as well since its private property? Vaughn Mills mall EV spots regularly get ICE'd and I hope this will help reduce it.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

I received this update a couple of nights ago and I cannot seem to get satellite view maps anymore, just the regular road maps. I still see traffic data on the map but I thought the toggle button was somewhere on the right side of the screen.

Pearson Int. Long Term Parking 120v Plugs

I wasn't aware they had 120V plugs there. I've only used the Chargepoint J1772 30a chargers in the short term parking near one of the entrances. They have about 6 I believe but I've found some don't work well. How many 120V plugs did you see on lvl6 at D39?

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

CrossBridge is the property management company we use and they coordinated the process with the condo board and contractors. Although I got my own quotes from other companies (most quoted higher amounts), the install was performed by the condo preferred company which was Signature Electric. They...

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

What sort of setup does the other person have? For costs, see my previous post. For now billing is done at a flat rate of $100 per month which they will re-evaluate after 3 months to determine what my actual usage is. The install included a 'digital check meter' to log my usage which is...

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

My charger installation cost was $3850 (including permit and inspection) since they had to run about 100 feet of wiring and conduit from the electrical room plus the cost of the charger which I had purchased on my own. Although it seems high I look at it as an investment as I should be able to...

Condo EV charger installed - Ontario

I moved to a condo 6 months ago and since I was planning to buy a Tesla Model 3, I started the process through my condo board to request the installation of an EV charger at my dedicated parking spot. After almost 5 months since I started the request, I finally got the charger installed today...

    Vancouver strata charger installation

My condo corp is asking for $100/month which I feel is too much for the first 3 months and then if my usage is below or higher than that they will adjust it. My install costs not including the Tesla wall charger that I purchased on my own is $3700.

    Vancouver strata charger installation

After nearly 6 months since I submitted my initial request, looks like I'm finally getting the charger installed at my private parking spot next week. Hopefully everything goes well. The joys of living in a condo.

    Mach-E: Ford Mustang Inspired EV

Hopefully this makes other large manufacturers ramp up their EV plans. Will be interesting to see how dealers portray this car. I remember back when I bought my Volt, the salesman tried to get me to buy a Cruze instead and that I didn't want the hassle of dealing with charging.

Can the aux power under the armrest be set to turf off?

My concern is when I'm not at home, it will keep recording indefinitely and needlessly use up battery plus wear down my SD card when I'd prefer to have my dashcam stop recording when I'm not there. I only put the dashcam up as it's a higher video quality than the built-in tesla cameras but I...

Can the aux power under the armrest be set to turf off?

I believe you that it will eventually go to sleep but it just seems to take a long time while it needlessly records and fills up the SDcard. I have sentry turned off while at home but everywhere else it is active so the dashcam will continue recording as the car wouldn't be going into sleep. I...

Can the aux power under the armrest be set to turf off?

I stayed around the car for about 10 mins and it was still recording and sentry mode was off.

Can the aux power under the armrest be set to turf off?

I have a dashcam that I hooked up to the cigarette lighter port under the armrest. The problem is that this port appears to be always on and therefore the dashcam doesn't turn off. In my previous vehicle, the power would turn off when I turned off the car and therefore the dashcam would turn off...

    Ontario 407 - V10 horrible

Used NOA this morning on Hwy 400 to 407 to 427 and exit to airport. Only a minor hick-up during the ramp from the 407 to the 427 due to the construction just before it enters 427. I do wish lane changes were more aggressive, seems to take a long time.

How Bad are KSI Charging Stations (Ontario)?

Reviving an old thread but I regularly came across these chargers in the Dundas/Hwy427 area and because of their high prices I only ever used it once as an expiment. Basically it's $1.50 for the connection fee and then $3/hr to charge at Level 2 speeds. I'd only get about 35km of charge per hour...

Was driving last night and had my phone hot-spot turned on for the kids. When I went to park it, I got the pop-up saying there was an update available.
