My booster seats for in the 3rd row, but my 6 year old is too SHORT to fit back there. That is because the only real foot room is under the second row seat, and his legs are too short to fit under the seat.

My Tesla has been the most reliable car I have owned. Keep in mind that electric cars have substantially fewer components than ICE cars, so less to break. Also, if you do have an issue then a Mobile Tech can most likely come to your house and fix it there. Total game changer.

One logical way to not hurt short-term demand while also not retroactively applying this to purchases that were clearly made with no expectation of a tax credit would be to make the credit effective from the date the GREEN Act was first published publicly last week.

As much as I would like a $7000 rebate on the purchase of my upcoming Tesla, I agree with you. Tesla will almost certainly sell its next 400,000 vehicles as quickly as it can produce them. Which means our fellow tax payers would have spent $2.8B for essentially little/no incremental benefit.

Subscription model would still be valid for the hundreds of thousands of Teslas already on the road, Teslas sold in other countries, and when Tesla hits the new cap next year and the tax credit ends.

True, but the way it’s written now it’s just an extension of the old rules, so no income caps, etc. on new cars. I hope that remains true.

This is exactly us! The third row will be great because our 3 kids fight all the time when they sit next to each other. Splitting them up will help a lot.

Does the “well” behind the 3rd row appear to be the same size as the 5 seater? I sure hope they didn’t have to shrink that size at all.

And this could be why they don’t want to advertise new enhancements that are either coming off the line now or in the near future. They don’t want to stop people from taking delivery of cars already produced without the updates.

It’s hard to see, but it looks like the new console in that picture. In the old picture you could easily see the shinny trim on each side, but not here.

I’m in the exact situation here. I am scheduled to take delivery in 2 weeks but am in no hurry to get the car. I will defer delivery unless Tesla confirms this detail before then.

Right. Unless it’s insanely expensive per month, a lot of people will be better off renting it when needed instead of paying $10k up front. The rental option solidifies my choice to not buy it now.

I got my VIN on October 17th as well. I don’t have a delivery date yet but my SA said the car should arrive the first week of November. I hope it comes 10/31 like DelCid!

Curious if I should just go ahead and get it soon or if there’s a chance they go on sale in the future.

I don’t know, the wait for the Y on Tesla’s site is 2-4 weeks, which is the same as the Model 3. Makes me think supply has caught up with demand.

I’m in the Midwest, and I’m seeing a 2-4 week delivery window on Tesla’s site. So seems like I could still get it this month in the MW.

Any thoughts on if Tesla would have any quarter end incentives with the Model Y this month? If so, what might they be? I’m in no hurry to order but would do so if it meant getting a better deal.

I would not be surprised if they allow SR+ owners to pay to have the rear heated seats and interior lighting turned on. I know I would definitely pay for one/both of these options!

Wow, I didn’t know this existed. Thanks! I’ll definitely check these out. For all the people suggesting upgrading the interior lights, the OP has SR+ which sadly doesn’t include this interior lighting. Although I’d pay to upgrade if Tesla offered it.

I’d probably pay $200-$300 for it (or make my kids pay me back for it since they are the ones who sit back there) :)

My backup is that I hid a keycard in my car, and then I have a cellular Apple Watch to unlock the car if needed.

I actually think $9.99 is a fair price. I pay that much for my Apple Watch connectivity, and that uses almost no data. I’m excited to finally get live traffic on my SR+!

Logging out and back in to the app solved this problem for me.

I just came from a 2015 C Class. I had a laundry list of issues with it, and haven’t had one issue with my Model 3. The Tesla is sooo far ahead of my C Class it’s not even close. Can’t imagine going back. As someone who knows both, don’t make the mistake of going with another C Class

Mine was installed with mobile service. I didn’t watch them do it so can’t speak to the details, but it was fairly quick and he was able to connect it to my garage door since the work was done at my house.

Did you turn them on and did they get hot? My guess is that it’s. A software issue and that you don’t actually have heated rear seats.
