I've had a rough experience with regard to build quality with the used 2018 M3LR I bought in 2022. Ranging from minor annoyances like:
-clicking noises when opening the doors
-windows and door handles freezing in place in the winter
...to concerning things like:
-paint flaking off around...
This triangle panel by the passenger window fell off after 80 miles.
How do we report manufacturing defects of the new cars?
That's my 2nd (known) issue with the brand new Y! First one was reported here.
I took delivery of my Model Y in April of 2021. Upon delivery, I did a thorough inspection of the car, as many on this form advised, to look for scratches, panel gaps, etc. that would need to be addressed by Tesla Service.
As expected there were a number of build-quailtiy issues with the Model...
If Tesla, encouraged by the implied demand for S/X refresh models, began manufacturing them also in other car Giga factories (namely Giga Texas, Berlin, and Shanghai for the time being) - which one would you want?
For fun factor, let's assume it would only speed up your delivery timeline.
Hey Everyone-
I am debating between a 2022 Acura MDX and a Model Y Performance and while I am leaning towards the Model Y, I do not want to be the beneficiary of build issues and subpar warranty service. As I read over posts, I see people accepting vehicles with an array of issues from panel...
I’ve had a Model 3 Performance for 2.5 years now. Excellent driving dynamics, poor build quality.
I’m thinking about getting a Model S now.
How would you guys compare the build quality between the 3 and S. I understand the new 2021 S isn’t out yet, but maybe some of your experience with the...
Hi All,
Just curious to know- those of you who refused a delivery after inspection based on say build quality issues did Tesla present any problems on your refusal? What happened next? Did the same car get fixed before you accepted delivery or did you get allocated a new car? How long did you...
I’m due to take delivery of my Model 3 Long Range AWD in early March in the U.K. (Very Excited ).
My order has now been matched to a car with a VIN showing that it is a made in China vehicle with arrival at Southampton port due on 18 February.
There are threads offering ‘a waiting room’ for...
Thought I'd share my pickup experience from today. Purchased new Model Y Long Range, White exterior, black interior, 19'' wheels.
Car had a small paint blemish above the right rear wheel, our sales agent made note and added it to their system so that it's repair will be free of charge and at...
I am in a pickle and need a bit of advice.
What is the best place to Sell or Trade Tesla Model 3 that has less than 1000 Miles?
I purchased the new Model 3, at the beginning of December 2019, and we didn't like the build quality of the car (mostly with the exterior appearance including...
Hi,
So I’m thinking about purchasing a used Model S P85D, but have 2 main concerns (range fear or charging isn’t one of them)
Build Quality: Having previously owned Porsche’s, BMWs and Mercedes, I’m currently driving a Mercedes E350. My first concern is the build quality. If I was spending £60...
After nine days in the shop - they were able to fix the suspension and a few other things. But still waiting for more.
I kinda feel like I paid to be a beta tester:
I'm in the market for a Model X. I read and watched (YT) numerous reports / reviews about the car, from owners, from the start of when the Model X was released, up to until recently. Quite a few of them mentioned things about the car's build quality. The latest one is from mid-June 2017 () -...
If you fold down the back seats, you can see carpet panels above where the wheels are..
I notice that basically every Model S has these panels that seem to have "manufacturer issues".
They are open or have a huge gap... and you see inside into the electrical.
Most Tesla salesman are...
I see the forums inundated with people upset (and rightfully so) about the poor build quality on their cars. I'm not sure if that experience is typical or the the vocal minority, but I want to offer a counter argument to the negativity. I picked up my 75D (6 seats, blue on white, non PUP, AP2...
