“Neutral” gear?

I thought (no first hand exp yet) that holding it was to get it into park. To get into neutral just tap it up and let go (as you would the indicator to change lane)
From the Model 3 owner's manual, page 48:
Neutral
Push the lever up or down to the first position and hold it there for more than 1 second to shift into Neutral.

Park can be engaged when the car is stationary by pressing the button on the end of the stalk, while "all the way up" - second position - gets you reverse as long as the car is moving at under 5 mph. All of the above applies to Model 3 - I do not have first-hand experience with S and X shifters.
