1000mi Road Trip Tire Advice

We're planning a 1000mi road trip from PNW to Central US (Link to Route) with a Mid '18 Model X100D and Late '18 M3P about first week of October. Seeing as we're getting into Fall weather, we're trying to decide which tires to put on the M3P. The X we'll take with the all-seasons + chains in case of an odd storm. We'll be headed through Yellowstone, Rushmore and Devil's Tower along the way.

Model 3:

• Option 1: 20' OEM Performance Summer tires (default at purchase in late '18)
• Option 2: 20' OEM 235/35/20 – Pirelli Winter Sottozeros on sport rims.
• Option 3: ??? (I'd really prefer not to order a third set but open to options).

Both sets have plenty of tread. Thoughts appreciated.

You never know what Mother Nature will throw at you, how about jumping on Craigslist and buying a used set of 18" wheels/tires that have all weather tires on them and sell after your trip?

Scratch that idea, just reread your post, you have a M3P, the 18" wont fit.
